No one used them, our host wanted to remove them, we couldn't really argue for an inactive forum, many apologies.

We'll try and reset them up somewhere when our fanbase is big enough to keep it active.

For now just post the plans in this thread ;) (though you should know the first release won't include forsaken)
Well I was thinking guys like this http://www.wowpedia.org/Forsaken_Plaguebringer would be good, especially now that Forsaken with Plague sprayers have become more common.

I thought they would be good, kind of like the Chem warriors from the first c&c. Also for siege weapons they should have these http://www.wowpedia.org/Blight_spreader, as the Forsaken don't seem to use Meat Wagons much anymore and it helps separate them from the Scourge.

Edit: More Plaguebringer like npcs for design ideas, http://www.wowhead.com/npc=47786 http://www.wowpedia.org/Crown_Duster http://www.wowpedia.org/Crown_Hoodlum http://www.wowpedia.org/Crown_Thug. Also the Forsaken seem to be setting up a lot of these recently http://www.wowpedia.org/Plague_tank.

No I think they are still banned, but it is to study how to get other models in the SC2 editor and give the map makers of this project the Warcraft feeling :)

Here is a little progress, a peon is added and a Fortress :)

What do you think ?

As far as I know, the Fortress is from WoW and they are planning to completely ignore WoW lore, which means things like Illidan never died, Garrosh probably doesn't even exist, etc. :p
(With which I have absolutely no problems, BTW)

Also, Tauer, I'm fairly sure the WoW models are placeholders before Taylor_Mouse makes his own models.

I know I've been a bit inactive lately (school/lack of inspiration), but I'm hoping to get something finished to Asomath pretty soon.

This probably isn't any use to the project, but Asomath did up the finals on this (I had composed this a while ago but I lack good orchestral virtual instruments) about a week or so ago - it's an orchestral cover of the song "stinkfist" by tool - it is orchestral so idk, it may be helpful in some way (just not exactly in necessarily the style relative to the project)

Well Illidan is licking his wounds, Thrall and the people are living in Durotar and getting the city of Orgimmar ready for more Horde members, Theramore after the fall of a great leader are getting restless and wanting to attack the Horde in secret despite Jania's wishes.

Oh and will this be like Cycle of Hatred, meaning around that time at all?
Just curious and just sharing my ideas and what not.

Edit: Nice music WhereWolf, and it sounds epic.
Edit2: The Cataclysm Thrall doesn't work so well before the WoW expansions and he didn't stand down as Warchief, because Garrosh isn't around Azeroth at the time, and Thrall is still the Warchief with his black armor.
And by the way will the Blood Elves join the Horde, and certain stuff like that?

I love the Horde and hoping for a awesome tech for them and story and looking forward to this.

@ WT -

It almost seems too complex, but if we can use it, that'd be wonderful. Thanks alot. We have wanted to progress the human musical range.

If you get any inspiration, we'd like them to have some acoustic guitar pieces.

@Warlord -

The game takes place 20 years after the end of The Frozen Throne.

Illidan, Vashj and Akama are trying to rally the people of outland, the naga and Draenai, to assault Azeroth and claim a home for themselves.

The Horde is preparing its armies to defend against an invasion from the undead, while also dealing with renegade factions of humans and orcs who threatan the peace jaina and thrall have brought about.

The forsaken have allied the burning legion and are embattled in loaderon.

But please... Spare my men if you can. My father will try to use them against you but they're the only real family I'll have left when all of this is over! Please do this... For me.

Well if you read Cycle of Hatred like I did, you will know there is a gang of renegades orcs and humans who want nothing to do with each other.
Oh and despite everything else, will you have any chance to have some cameos like old past heroes or just Easter eggs?

Just curious and all for this, and what heroes and such will added?

I personally think you should have used the mesh I sent you, as it was cannon with the concept we developed.

Really ?? that model is one of the thinnest models there are ....

{EDIT}
Ok, I changed the proportions on the dwarf a bit, more to the WoW model, it still not exactly like it but.. well, more like it ...

and a ref to the orc and human base model, what do you reckon ?

Looks good so far, but to make sure it actually looks like a Dwarf and not some over sized Gnome.
No offense and looking forward to this.

Another set of suggestions.

As the Scourge are no longer affiliated with the Burning Legion they have no Dreadlords anymore. As a replacement they should get the San'Layn since they are rather similar.
http://www.wowpedia.org/Darkfallen
http://www.wowpedia.org/San'layn

But anyways, if both the Scourge and Forsaken are going to be in this effort must be taken to differentiate them as much as possible.

The Scourge should be the monstrous near mindless horde of mutated zombies and undead monsters it has always been, with necromancers to raise weak undead, while the Forsaken should be more a disciplined faction of non-mutated undead with advanced chemical weapons, with less focus on raising the dead.

So where Scourge have Ghouls, Forsaken have Deathguards. Where Scourge have Necromancers, Forsaken should get Shadow Priests or Apothecaries(Also an idea for a hero unit).

Since Forsaken have no Nerubians they would simply have some sort of archer, who perhaps poisons their arrows as an upgrade. Not Dark Rangers however, as they are not common enough.

And as I suggested earlier, instead of Meat Wagons they get Blight Spreaders. http://www.wowpedia.org/Blight_spreader

As for a flying unit to have instead of Gargoyles, I really don't know. Someone should really start trying to figure that one out. Perhaps some sort of Bat rider who throws Blight bombs at people.

Also as I also said earlier, these should be included somewhere http://www.wowpedia.org/Forsaken_Plaguebringer , as well as these for the Scourge http://www.wowpedia.org/Plague_eruptor

Anyways these are just ideas. But still, it would be wrong to make the Scourge and Forsaken too similar. The Scourge should be more number focused and the Forsaken more about strategy and intelligence.

In style they are two very different types of undead, and that should be kept in mind.

Even if both were to get Abominations and Banshees effort should be made to make them somehow different, even if only in some small, subtle way.

We have taken drastic steps to differentiate the concepts, but the scourge is going to be Campaign only.

The forsaken will focus on several high specialty units, and some constructs, who agument legions of skeletons, there will be no nerubians, and few other 'monstrosities' and they will focus on magic.

I agree with and like most of your suggestions, we will keep them in mind.
