Warcraft 3 in college!

Map making is boring eventually, its much more fun programming assembly or less restricted languages.

Hopefully SC2 will provide a better structured and more modern map making platform.

They move on to using the unreal engine because of this, in the second year I think.

U also got to remember this is a community college, and only 2year degrees are given out, :grin:

A friend I have that is in a 4 year game making major at a private college is using C++ and Maya. That would be a much better experience, but hey, we all gotta get our feet wet somehow!
 
Why do people even bother with colleges... the degrees are worth only half as much as degrees from universities.

Worth it's only that you know when you finish school (or not finish at all). And many times you learn more useful stuff in college than in university. What serves you the knowledge of complex integrals, if you will end programming in PHP?
