Turtle Caravan

"These giant sea turtles have been tamed by the Naga so that they are able to carry a small hut that is built for carrying Mur'gul Slaves and supplies across both land and sea. These turtle caravans are therefore ideally used as mobile drop-off points for gold and lumber that were brought by the Slaves. In addition, Mur'gul Slaves can go inside these carvans if threatened so that the turtles are able to fight back and protect their passengers against most threats."

This is a non-combat unit model that I've made primarily for the Naga, but could also be used for pretty much any other aquatic race you could think of. The concept behind the Turtle Caravan is to give the Naga a mobile drop-off point for recources, effectively giving them their own unique resource gathering mechanic. Mur'gul Slaves can also go inside the Turtle Caravan for protection.

Oh, and fucking TURTLES. Who doesn't like 'em? :goblin_yeah:

This model uses ingame textures, so no need to worry about texture paths. Just simply import both the model and the portrait into your custom map! I have provided no icon as the icon for the Gargantuan Turtle included in the game is already a perfect fit for the model.

If you want to use this model then feel free to do that, provided that you'll give credit to me in return.

UPDATE 1:
The fishing pole had been modified so that the fish is positioned right in front of the turtle, making it look more like that it's actually being baited.

Recalculated extents.

lookin' cool and working well, approved. although, you could tweak the portrait model somewhat, to have the same feel like the model.. maybe a different angle, or zoomed out a bit.. experiment

Very interesting :) I'm liking it :".
also if you know how to add animations, you cloud add roof animations (like night elf buildings), it might more useful.

Awesome model! I do think the building looks a little empty for a caravan. Perhaps adding a few more items, such as crates, barrels or similar, would help. Also, as Misha said, the pole should be slightly longer. Neat addition to a murloc/naga race nontheless. :)

I really freaking like this model! 7/10 I see basically nothing to change except perhaps.. a bigger more meatier hut with more walls and stuff, more substance, rather then a scaffold. at least, that's what I WOULD like. more walls, like a hut on top rather then those ghetto straw scaffolds of weakness idk but its still cool.
