Map Fog

My map starts at night, ok. The game is running normally, when the day comes. 6 hours in clock and the fog is totally reduced, i already changed the sight day radius on object editor, but wont work, help please!
 
What won't work? You never said what you want to happen. Do you want more fog? less fog? Also, to be clear, we are talking about "terrain fog" not fog of war. To get the best results from the help zone, you should state what you want to happen, what you tried to do to make it happen and what is happening instead. Simply writing "won't work, help please!" will not get you much helpful information. "Day sight radius" is the distance the fog or war is pushed back by a unit during the day. Fog of war and terrain fog are different.

Allright, i start playing, the fog of war is one at night, one very big, but when the day comes, the fog automatically reduces, and reduces too much.
My map starts at night in 00:00, then when it is 6:00 the fog of war changes to one smaller automatic. I don't know why this happens, sometimes it happens, sometimes don't, sometimes happens to me, sometimes to other player, i dont know what is this.
What i want is one fog, in the night and the day the same fog that i choose, but it won't happend, the fog i want is only at night, at day it get reduced.

Fog reducing when the morning comes.

My map starts at night, and when it is night the fog of war is 1600, but when the morning comes, the fog automatically reduces, i don't know why.
I have checked Sight (Day and Night) of heroes, and it is the same for both.
What can i do? Create some trigger to make a only fog to be the same in both? how can i do this?
Or what else could i do? Help.
Again: I have checked the sight of heroes in day and night, and it is 1600 for both (Day and Night), but in the day it reduces automatically. I don't know what is this.

Check the gameplay constants in case there is some limit field for sight.

Make sure there is no sight modifying abilities on the unit. I know that there is at least 1 item ability that modifies sight.

Slightly unrelated, but what ability is this?

On topic, are there other units than heroes? It's hard to help without knowing much more or seeing your map.

Yes, but they are not playable, just as a decoration to map (Except the bosses, but you can't play with them, just fight them).

Everything is as wc3 wants. Just heroes stats changed (agility, inteligence etc)

Is there someway that i can create a trigger to make an only fog to all map? in day in night to players to boss, to everything, is there?

OBS: gameplay constants there is unit visibility change rate 0.40, is this?

Did you try to create a brute force visibility modifier that emits fog of war throughout your map?

  • Visibility - Create an initially activated visibility modifier for Player 1 (Red) emitting fog of war across (Playable map area)
Try this for every player..

After all this time... Yes. The fog problem keeps on.

I already made all units sight in OE 1600, i already add a secret skill to give bonus sight to all heroes but anyway, it still the same.
The problem is: When an unit get killed his fog automatically reduces, and reduces drastically, someone can help me to solve this without removing fog of war from the whole map?

/\ Exactly. Sorry FiremanBo is an idiot with the worst english of eternity (writing the simple past of "write" as "writed" and not "wrote" means he should suicide) that is linked to my IP and is not me.

But yes, the map has a very simple respawning system, but when the unit respawns (hero, not unit, sorry) the sight range is reduced to the oblivion (ofc not to oblivion, but the sight reduces harshly compared to what it was before)

Yes. Well at least I think so. It uses the event "Hero dies" "Set HeroDying = Dying hero" "Instantly revive HeroDying". But using waits MUI.

Could be the waits MUI, you should post the trigger for a better understanding.
Oh and the event is supposed to be :
Event : A unit owned by player X die
Condition : Dying unit equal to "Your hero"
Action : Set HeroDying to last dying unit.
- Hero : Instantly revive HeroDyng at....

When the hero dies, he respawn with a reduced fog.



OBS: It is the same unit that died and respawned. Before die was one fog, after die is this crap. Not only with troll, all the other heroes too.

Think I figured it out. There is a variable under Gameplay Constants called Decay Time (sec) - Hero Dissipation which is set to 3 seconds by default. It seems that whenever a hero is revived before that time limit, its vision bugs out and is reduced to some ridiculously low radius which can't be fixed afterwards.

Instead make your hero revive after a 5 second delay for example and it should work as normal. That dissipation time also triggers when the on-screen message pops up to let you know your hero has died, as it does in melee games. You'll see what I mean when you try it.

The time to respawn was always 4 seconds... They never revived before the time limit.

My map fog is a challenge for all you scripters and gamemakers, not even the best can fix this.
threads, 5. I made 5 threads, no one in the world can fix this problem. I think i have to live with this problem. Don't matter how much knowledge you have editing maps, you can't fix this.
In map, the heroes vision sight reduces drastically after die or when morning comes. I don't know why, so this time i'll be specific, you create and start the map, ok, you choose the hero in game, ok, you start playing, ok, after you die by anything and respawn the vision sight reduces drastically, i don't know why. Other trouble: You start the map, choose the hero, start playing, and when the morning comes your vision reduces too. But it's time lost, you can't help me fix this, 5 threads already and nobody could.

Six threads for one problem? You can bump your own thread after 48 hours if you didn't read the rules. Try not to spam the forums.

You didn't post your map in any of the threads as well, so try doing that and then maybe I can find you an answer.

"6 threads for one problem", you really think that was one behind the other? no, i created, waited one-two days for some good answer, but nothing. And it was 5.
"try not to spam the forums", i don't spam, but if you think i do that, its because i really found something really hard for all of you.
"you didn't post your map", really...? i posted the triggers, i posted attachments to show and lot of things. This is just 5 of 11 threads i made.
I don't need a "foccus" solution, we may find another way to provide a fixed vision to everybody. Just this what i need, everything you can think i already tried, i need something to make a global/fixed/unique vision sight, a trigger or a dummy to do this, but no one can tell me this.

DracoL1ch afaik you did not describe the bug. Can you give details? I know there was something, but can't grasp it right now.

heroes who respawned or reincarnated within 5 seconds after their death will stay with 500/500 death vision. every dead unit has 500/500 from gameplay constants. they do no update if the unit is alive and stays 500/500 instead of normal. it cannot be fixed - hero HAVE TO being dead 5+ seconds OR mapmaker have to use dummies instead, which would provide vision permanently, everywhere.
