okay this is wat i think should be in the perfect game ^^
1. Have a World Editor like warcraft 3 but uses local's always
2. (Extesnion from above) will have a greatly expended scripting system
3. HAVE AWSOME GRAPHICS
4. When you make a custom game not like 1 of the presets you can have more then 100 players ^^
5. that you could download player made expansions without rendering
6. The interface can easly be edited ingame and splash screens!
7. being able to create clans or groups ect with only 3 people
8. having the option to ban people with admins help when ingame with 13 other peoples recomendations
9. being able to edit EVERY aspect of the game how you battle like in FF for RPG based creations. How you attack, ect
10. you dont need to portforward to host!
11. POSTS YOUR STUFF HERE!

Well through everything you listed, you're basically asking for an entirely open source game, which will probably never happen. The alternative is a game engine.

No portforwardning to host would mean that you would not host yourself, but you would connect to a server which everyone connected to - ie a dedicated server that is not one of the players giving noone the advantage of being the host. Basically, you would not be hosting a game, you would only join one.

Only local variables, ehm.. is there really a need to explain this?

This would typically be considered a game engine, like stated earlier. I doubt you'll ever find a game that features all of this, but I know of at least one game that implements a lot of the features. *hint*

I like the idea of a customisable interface!

In my perfect game everyone just runs around naked.
And there are no old people.

Right?

No condition about requiring female characters as well? So in effect, if someone made a game where you could only play a naked male character, it would be a perfect game for you? I mean, sure you can kick some balls or whatever you like doing, but personally I'd find that world rather disgusting. Let some female characters in however..

On a side note though, I think I'd get bored of the game after a short while though.

Dude, just go watch porn.

I'd just like an immersive FPS/RPG hybrid. Live action, fluid controls, plenty of physics and destructible environments, smart AI, a large open world that's actually full of things to do and interesting landmarks to explore, not just empty forests like Oblivion.

A multi choice approach to quests/missions, sort of like what Fallout 3 did, but even more ways, and expanded to be less limited on chat sequences.

And of course, a powerful graphical and audio experience. I want some eye orgasmicly powerful scenery and a constant frame rate. Superb voice acting and ear shattering sound effects. I want to hear my bullets cling as they fall on a concrete pavement, or thud when they hit soft dirt.

Plenty of small details that really make it that much more immersive, I want decals to stick around for a while, as well as the destruction I cause. I want enemies to react to where I shoot them (If I shoot them in the leg, I want to see them keel over and bleed!) Full decapitation features, I want to blow off legs, arms, eyes, fingers, skin, bones, ribs!

No censorship. I want guts, I want blood, I want swear words, and if the context fits, I want to see full nudity and sex.

Of course, that applies if it's in there for the sake of the story, it should all be completely within context and not in there for the heck of it.

A wide variety of tools to destroy enemies with. But the gameplay shouldn't revolve solely on combat. Lots of balanced RPG elements that aren't just limited to "keep doing this until you gain a level". Plenty of strategy, in both combat and other things. A powerful trade system and active economy within the game, so I can be a merchant if I wanted to. As well as other occupations I might find interesting.

Open ended gameplay, free choices without limitations on how I want to complete the game/mission at hand. A huge world, three times as big as Oblivion was, but in a meaningful way. Full of things to do, missions to take on, sights to see, deserted towns inhabited by mutants or zombies or what ever to blow up.

And last but definitely not least, fully open to user added content. Fully fledged editor and the works.

I guess some sort of post apocolyptic world would fit best into this sort of game. Zombie invation, nuclear holocaust, what ever. Would be awesome.

Beat that

I didn't say I'd like that kind of game, actually I stated the opposite. As for porn, I've got no need for it.

I like the idea you got there, although in my humble opinion, a more chaotic and unrealistic world would be a lot more intriguing for me. I can't stand "real army" games, like Call of Duty and the likes. I want buff weapons, huge monsters and everything else you said integrated with it. Feel me?

I don't consider zombies as humongous beasts. However spark some life in the dinosaurs and entitle them mutant dinosaurs, then we're on the right path.

Hack and Slash Medieval/Fantasy RPG with a good storyline, things you do affect others things that happen, loads of sidequests, you are able to get a job, marry and all that real life crap. Offcourse stunning graphics and whatsoever, coming with it that everything can be destroyed and you can litteraly chop your enemies into tiny bits if you want to.

It would be like this RPG where you just start out as somekind of lame child who has a dream of coming a hero or something and then just somehow come out as a evil villian with an army of demons destroying everything.

I would also, offcourse have online capabilities. Where you could things like deathmatch etc. Kinda like Dark Messiah i guess only waaaay better ;)

So yeah, RTS/RPG hybrid... gief naow!!!

we're tallking about the perfect game. and it's obvious the perfect game is not an easy one to make, so stop with the dicky "it's impossible, there will never be something like that" thing.

Maybe one day reality will be in a computer, where things will be made out of particels (atoms) and we can just make shit real out of it. then we'll make a diffrent world then ours (like a fantasy one or something with zombies) and yay! we have the perfect game where you can do EVERYTHING.
But that won't be much of a game, just an alternate universe to live in :p

The perfect game would have to have elements from every single game already made. But that would be the most unoriginal concept in existence. Then again there is no such thing as perfect. Except for Chuck Norris... and Jesus.
