The Wretched only ended up that way, because they were addicted to Arcane, and when the Sun Well was destroyed, they could get no more mana.
Peons studying Arcane doesn't have to get them addicted to something like the Sun Well, and even if it will, it won't be as much as the drugged up Wretched.

And well.. Peons just give 'em weed, smoke 'em high, so they feel all chill and then it's easy to show them a friendly spirit to cooperate with - and BAM, a chimaera is tamed and ready to be ridden ^^

Globalized? No thanks, here people have common sense and don't go chewing all the crud until they choke on it, but in many other countries? Just give them a new addictive anything and one third of your population will have massive health issues!

So yes, I say, alcohol, light drugs, cigarettes and so on should be legal, but given extremely high quality standards and high pricing, turning all these things into luxury goods you can't consume everyday!

I like your point, but to your information, cannabis goes under the "light drugs" category you mentioned. There's a reason why many consumers refuse to even call it a drug, with mottos like "I don't do drugs, I smoke weed", marijuana is not addictive on a level like cocaine, negotine, heroine and other other dangerous drugs, but more like caffeine or .. yeah, even hamburgers. Your body doesn't crave for more, give you abstinences or so, but your mind might want more, just like the lust for a cup of coffee or hamburgers. It doesn't give you health issues, like several other drugs on the market - it is actually good for the system in many ways. However, of course weed has it's downs, like when users in extremely rare cases develops a hash phycosis, or like I personally experienced, suffered from a heavy depression - which forced me to stop smoking, whereafter I got back on track as the positive optimist. But conclusion is that it is far less dangerous than people think, it differs a lot from other drugs, and legalizing it would only create a sudden overflow in economics, as well as stealing back the market from criminals who earn who-knows-how-large-amounts by selling innocent drugs like cannabis everyday :)

Which do you think is safer and more beneficial, cannabis or alcohol? Any other adverse effects?

Do you agree with the statement that cannabis is a 'gateway drug' and that it's users are more prone to trying out harder kinds of drugs?

Cannabis for sure! It is scientifically proven that cannabis is better in most if not all ways, compared to alcohol. The latter kills lots of lots of brain cells with every consumption, the latter causes way more issues with organs and the body in general, and last but not least, the latter is way more addictive. Don't misunderstand me however, I'm not against alcohol - since I, like most people, won't get addicted, and won't get damaged organs, and won't become brain dead, etc. but I just find it weird how cannabis, who is far more innocent, can't be legal, like alcohol is.
And the gateway drug-thing is something I'd say depends heavily on the individual consumer. I started out drinking alcohol, which led me to smoke cigarettes, which led me to smoke weed. In weed, however, I found something new, and I decided that this would be my line and I would do no other drugs, and kept it that way for 2 years - until I suffered from my hash depression, and could smoke weed no more. Since the depression, I must admit that I have tried both poppers, and MDMA.
But it's all about the user - the user makes the decisions completely him/herself, and I know many people in both categories, half have tried more drugs, other half sticked with weed.

Are you writing a school project on marijuana or something? o_O

I just wanted to apologize for being an annoying douche the last few days, I have literally acted like a child and I'm sorry if I hurt some people with my words, you deserve to be treated with respect, and not the way of an immature Peter Pan like me.

@Al: Ooooh, sounds exciting! Can I ask what kind of wonderful idea? And DP never dies! The roleplaying in here, perhaps, but the discussions are destined to live on for all eternity I'm sure x)

@Tleno: Oh yeah! It is scientifically proven that peasants are the only ones falling for the abstinences, while everyone knows that peons can control themselves! Once again, peons are superior!

@Az: I don't know to who you are talking, and what you are basing your apology on, but I don't recall you acting immaturely and/or douchy at all :)

Chronic addiction? Do you mean addiction to weed, or the album by Dr. Dre? None are addictive, but both are awzum, and in that case I wouldn't mind my addictions!
Peons might be more smelly, and have less reverse psychology resistance, as well as no pickaxe bonus, but have you forgot the old vital research notes!?
They conclude that peons have +6 reverse psychology! And that instead of an ordinary pickaxe bonus, they have a Super pickaxe bonus! Which gives them the advantage over peasants, I'm sorry to say bro, but that's just the way it is
Additionally, it is commonly known by everyone that peons are 100% more protected while building stuff!

Am, a black hole is just a supermassive object with a gravity so strong that not even light can escape it. You'll be crushed in a place where the laws of time and space do not apply.
Just saying. It won't transport you anywhere. What you need is a wormhole.

True shit, but that's not really a bad thing. Actually all modern gymnastics are based on the heavy evolution made by a single Dane, Niels Bukh, during WWII. Who was also a homosexual and secretly praised Nazism - truly one of the most interesting people I have ever worked with :)
Oh and the presentation went awesome - I actually said too much, which was the only criticism the teachers could come up with :D

I know right? I'd never imagined any people like that! Haha :D
Actually his sexual orientation was a secret up until present day, because back then it was not only looked down upon, but it was also illegal to be gay! And especially a shitty thing to be when supporting Nazism, since nazis despised and killed gay people along with jews. So in fact, nobody knew until it was revealed in recently published books about him :b
