Cannabis for sure! It is scientifically proven that cannabis is better in most if not all ways, compared to alcohol. The latter kills lots of lots of brain cells with every consumption, the latter causes way more issues with organs and the body in general, and last but not least, the latter is way more addictive. Don't misunderstand me however, I'm not against alcohol - since I, like most people, won't get addicted, and won't get damaged organs, and won't become brain dead, etc. but I just find it weird how cannabis, who is far more innocent, can't be legal, like alcohol is.
And the gateway drug-thing is something I'd say depends heavily on the individual consumer. I started out drinking alcohol, which led me to smoke cigarettes, which led me to smoke weed. In weed, however, I found something new, and I decided that this would be my line and I would do no other drugs, and kept it that way for 2 years - until I suffered from my hash depression, and could smoke weed no more. Since the depression, I must admit that I have tried both poppers, and MDMA.
But it's all about the user - the user makes the decisions completely him/herself, and I know many people in both categories, half have tried more drugs, other half sticked with weed.
Are you writing a school project on marijuana or something?
