Story
Background Story
Twelve peaceful years have passed since The Great War ended. The war that lasted centuries but no man could recall the reason of. The age of despair, bloodshed, loss and grief is now past. The new age brought the opportunity for human kingdoms to rise, as humanity has broken free from the grip of the dragons.

This story focuses on Kingdom of Balgaron and three famous Dragon Slayers: Phodom, Fradz and Galeoth. Each of them starts their journey in different places, but they will eventually meet eachother and join forces along the path. Together, the three are forced to go a conflict beyond their imaginations.

Lead them into an epic world, guided by a strong storyline that covers hate, love, war and peace.

The honored Dragon Slayer Phodom gave up his life as a warrior and began a new life with his wife and his children, far away from the capital of Balgaron in the small town called Dalli. All his plans were going smooth and easy until someone steps into his life and changes everything...Fradz is a young energetic Dragon Slayer known for his short temper and bad manners. This silly thief is a very powerful warrior and it is said that he even killed powerful dragons single-handedly. After the war, Fradz went on many journeys, but one day a mysterious voice told him to travel to the famous Dragon Inn to meet someone who was once very close to him. Fradz accepts this new journey, as he knows that he cannot decline it...Galeoth, the son of a legendary Dragon Slayer lived up to his father's name and became one of the leaders of Balgaron. After the war, Galeoth still believed that the war was not yet over. His obsession to find dragons led him towards the Icy Mountains where he is about to uncover a horrible secret that will change the fate of mankind...

All abilities remade and new abilities: Battle Banner, Fiery Ball, Fire Power, Ultimate Sacrifice, Counter Attack, Energy Shield, High Strike, Crystal Plane, Galeoth's Order, Illusion Army, Magic Convert and Magical Fog.
'Critical Chance' attribute added! It starts from 5% and it can be increased various ways.
Now also Strenght increases Critical Damage just like Agility.
Chapter 5 Pumpking Quest's second cinematic updated.
Chapter 7 Epic Boss removed the terrain deforming to decrease lag.
Fixed a lot of bugs you guys mentioned.

Chapter 9 is now available for playing.
Attack and Armor types remade; values are changed and Attack & Armor types are removed. I've made the campaign simpler, easier to learn and more effective this way.
Rebalanced the armor values of all enemy units in all chapters.
Improved chapter 3's ending dialogues (outdated).
Vacuum's area of effect reduced. You cannot grab items from far away anymore.
Background stories and so-called "Books" are completely added to all chapters in this version.
Every single Spell Book spell has been added to the campaign!
Many new items and item changes. For example, superior items, which costs a huge amount of gold, are added to middle chapters; however, they're worth it!
Improved the multiboard a lot. Now it is more informative and better organized.
Combat kings once again rebalanced and changed. The major thing is that now they all cost 2 Honor Points.
Espers improved and made even stronger. Please come and tell me what you think about the Espers now. I've seen that players don't use them and I really want to make them useful.
Many changes to the starting packs! Now they should be balanced, every single one of them!
Stealing improved; now it shows the percentages.
Easter Eggs added; currently just 2 but there will be a total of 12 Easter Eggs. Check them all out!

From this version onwards, a number of items can only be bought once. Choose wisely and try not to lose those items. You cannot buy them again!

Vitality system upgraded in various ways and I've some plans to upgrade it even further in the future. One big note is that now max vitality will only increases when an item is in a character's inventory.
Now every fourth ranked synthesis Item will require a Zozi to reduce player from getting too many powerful items at early chapters.
Now each STR gives 20 health instead of 25.
Now each INT gives 10 mana instead of 15.
Chapter 4 Wisps are now easier to catch
Black merchant can only be seen between 24:00 to 6:00 o'clock.

Chapter 7 is now opened.
Boss points are now removed from the game. You can still change your Boss points to Honor points by writing this code: "-change".
Remade all item, ability, spell, esper and all other descriptions: they are now shorter and easier to read.
There is only fire, ice, and lightning spells now.
Improved multiboard by a lot, added some new stats to it also.
Added new combat kings and new spells. Combat Kings now only go up to level 5.
Added some more tactical meaning to the battle: some abilities can do or use buffs called Brittle, Stagger, and Bleed. For example some other abilities can use these buffs to deal increased damage.
Now Special abilities will increase by every level instead of every fifth level.
All professionals are now universal.
The Critical Damage bonus starts from 100% instead of 0%. The chance to do a Critical Hit is still 10%.
Once again, more items.
New Spell System: Instead of spell books you can easily use spells from left corner just like potions.
The file size is now bigger because I imported some resources to the campaign. The expected file size in the end will be about 120mb to 140mb. I hope the file size won't be a problem.
New balanced attack and armor types: Sharp, Blunt, Magic, Light, Medium, Heavy, Sturdy and Elemental.
Now some enemies are categorized as Summoned, Undead, Drgon and Monster. Some items and abilities can do extra effects to them.
Now enemies won't do their abilities while stunned.
The campaign is now optimized and protected. All thanks to Shadow Daemon for creating the awesome "campaign optimizator" program".
Fixed some bugs.

Now there are only two magical balls instead of three. Also now they give solid magic bonus instead of percent.
Removed Phodom's speciality that gives plus one Dig Power every 10th level.

Some of the spell book spells are remade and balanced such as first Fire Spell.
Added Game Panel where you can for example eat food, move your boxes and cast espers.
And many, many other changes. Once again so many changes I simply cannot remember everything.




Save & load combat kings and spell book spells are fixed.
Restore Panel fixed.
Fixed vitality system.
Six new Galeoth abilities: Chill of the Frost Master, Frozen Storm, Icy Barrage, Inner Light, Mesmerizing Ice Crystal and Piercing Shard.
Combat Kings are remade. All high tier combat kings aren't remade yet.
After every cinematic units you had selected before will be selected for you automatically.
Now quests will give experience like before.
Fixed chapter 5 ending.
Chapter 1 Boss, Chapter 1 Elite Boss, Chapter 3 Boss and Chapter 3 Elite Boss battles are now improved.
Fixed Code Puzzle.
Fixed Kaza Leader Dialog.
Remade Chapter 5 Elite Boss Fight and fixed few problems of it.

Hello mate, you remember when I told you to bosses are too hard. Well will test it now and in a week will give you my new thinking. Also does campaing again have long loading time?

Ok. Serious bug in Chapter 7. When I enter the team battle gladiator arena. After I finish the fight and the referee says I won. The two heroes that participated in the fight disappear completely and it just goes back to the one remaining hero.

EDIT: just tried on solo gladiator mode and the same thing happens. the participating heroes disappears after winning the match.

On a side note: This has to be the most fun I have ever had on a wc3 custom map/campaign. Excellent job.

Hey I posted earlier about the critical error on the spider boss on chapter 3. It still critical error even when i turn my sound off but what else i noticed is his attacks don't hurt me. I think that they heal me.

There are certain pieces of equipment that heal you when you take damage. one gives 2% of your max health whenever you're hit. There are abilities that prevent damage entirely. Galeoth has a couple armor abilities, so I wouldn't be surprised if one of those was the culprit. It also could be that your hp regen is higher than his damage.

I haven't encountered any critical errors since playing the game though.

Yes, I simply die; but I loose a life wereas I musn't... with Fodom's "holy cross", every 3 minutes, I don't loose a life if I die... but I still loosing one even after 5 minuts without dying

QUEST DIALOGUE error. In ch7 when you beat the statue and choose your reward it states that the golden trophy gives 100% exp and gold bonus, but the tooltip on the trophy itself says 50%.

EDIT: also a bug on the puzzle quest in ch7 where you have to step on the colored circles. When you hit the reset button, more circles will appear over the puzzle, making it difficult to tell which ones you're actually supposed to be changing colors.

ITEM BUG: blade of death states that it gives 30% steal chance, but it actually gives nothing to steal chance.

EDIT: DAMAGE BUG: I have determined the cause of the massive damage bug I've seen people mention. The combat king skill MAGIC AURA seems to provide a massive damage bonus from 7000-9000 at random times during the game. I haven't found the exact trigger, but it never happens if the characters don't have magic aura as an ability. Tested it by buying magic aura with the one character who didn't have it from the start and he immediately gained the bonus damage as well.

Nice :) I'll try out the new version in a bit. Can't believe you've continued work on this map for 5 years. You have more commitment than a lot of people.

This isn't really a bug, but the computer I'm using at the moment isn't the best and that special effect you use on the siluze boss fight where the terrain morphs lags the game up like crazy. Even on slowest speed with all effects turned off and graphics at the minimum I can barely move.

EDIT: Siluze constantly spawning more of himself makes it lag really bad too. On my last playthrough I was doing ok until there were about 20 of him on the map. The I couldn't move again.

I don't mind losing because the bosses are difficult, but losing because I can't move is kind of lame.

Also frustrated by making the master key to get into that basement in the red district and then finding the basement to be empty :(
Either I'm missing something, or you just like to mess with people.

I found a few bugs:
1.I collected all 6 parts of the omega orb in chapter three but the golem still has 250 hp and little damage.
2.Blade of Death doesn't give any steal chance even if it says it does.
3.When i use the staff on the forgotten ones in chapter 6 nothing happens(it just gives dispel visual effect and nothing).

That last bug is on the fixed bugs list for 19a

I finally managed to beat siluze by saving constantly during the fight, thus managing to avoid the worst lag spikes and crashes. I fought him so long that the terrain effect eventually went away. that helped.

I made it to chapter 8 and 9 on version 1.9 and I see what you meant about the save bugs. Phodom kept losing his abilities, combat kings went to level 1, occasionally I'd be in control of damanthe and other shenanigans. Glad to see that's fixed in 19a. Think i'll go ahead and try to finish the game and then move on to that version.

EDIT: Is 1.9A uploaded yet?

another question. I beat chapter 9, but am unable to load from "the end". Do I have to use give up since the final chapter hasn't been added yet?

Hey there:) i am at Ch 3 and when i move to Epic Boss area, the Orange circles make game crash...When i change them in orange, the game crash...What i have to do?

I haven't played 1.9a yet, never had any crashes in the game until chapter 7 when I fought siluze. Think that was just too much graphical craziness for my computer to handle though and not an actual in game error.

Ok so I know about Frad's spellbook spell that you steal from the Elite boss. where do you get the other one (spiral shield) from? I've stolen from everyone, dug up everything, and check the three different shops that I've found in chapter 2.

EDIT: thanks for fixing summons in 19a. I'll have to have Frad's put some points into it now.

Sarofa, are you playing version 1.9 or 1.9a?

EDIT: not sure if this is a bug, but in chapter 4 I got two trinket of kindness and the other piece of the set is no where in sight. Ok nevermind. Found the other piece, but having two trinket of kindness seems redundant.

Also. the spider bosses in chapter 1 and chapter 4 both have inventories but no items. In addition I can never seem to find the last enemy to steal from in these chapters. Wondering if these bosses are supposed to have items equipped.

EDIT: Found the last person to steal from in chapter 4. Still might want to remove the spider's inventory though. I wonder what I missed in chapter 1.

Obelisk puzzle

I could replicate this one and I'm sure it was on version 1.9a but the game crashed as I solved that puzzle it happened only once and I don't know what the difference was. Maybe the illusionary double did something there.

Chapter 3 epic Arena
First room (the many crystal golems)

If I use the large circle (8 Golems) once it is green and kill the golems so the circle would change color the game crashes.

Random Thoughts:

Galeoth could use some alternative building path. Phodom can be played as caster, tank or even physical damage with his armor debuff and damage buffs. The same goes for Fradz who can be a tank or melee damage dealer.

Galeoth on the other hand can only be a caster. I would love to see the possibility to play him in another role. More focused on ranged physical damage for example.

I suggest a new skill set

Name: Raging Ice
Type: Toggle

Once toggled on subsequent attacks at the target will increase Galeoth's attack damage for 2 seconds. This effect can stack multiple times.

Name: Frost Cannon
Type: Active / Target Point

Upon activation Galeoth creates a Cannon that will shooting at enemies in range doing the same damage as Galeoth's attack damage.

Name: Shatter Armor
Type: Single Enemy

For 3 seconds the target's armor will become 0. Galeroth will instantly attack this enemy over the 3 seconds with 50% increased attack speed. Galeroth can move in this time.

Note: I imagine this spell to work like in battletank. Where his auto attack will be disabled and replaced with a phoenix fire ability.

Stealing

I can remember an much earlier version where Phodom could only dig Fradz only steal and Galeoth only brew. I actually liked that more then the way it is now. It feels better then to see a proud Galeoth or Phodom steal mid combat.

Suggestion: remove all stealing from Chapter 1, 3 and 4. Maybe you can replace them with challenges to certain bosses. When you beat them while managing this challenge they would simply drop 2 items. Knowing that this would be a long process forcing you to remake the bosses again. I would be willing to do my part and think about those If you could imagine making these changes.

Forgot something

Chapter 3 Spider Queen battle
Version 1.9a

I got a fatal error in that fight multiple times. I could roughly reproduce it. I stole right from the start then item and roughly 7 seconds after the fight had gone the game crashed.

I assume this is something the spider did as an attack. When she summoned the little spiders everything was fine. But thinks seemed to get wrong if she didn't summon them. I could get through thanks to the op ult that took like 80% of her health while stunning the boss.

As a sidenote as the battle starts it created a single spider which I could control and drew aggro of the boss which was nice :)

Personally I think the stealing and digging on all characters is part of the strategy, especially in chapter 9 when they split up. You have to make sure each character has more than 100% steal chance if you want to get all of the zyl orbs.

EDIT: 19a Fradz lightning elemental is still bugged. It never gains any health or damage. The elemental golem summoned from the omega item isn't improving properly either. At level 40 he only has 500 health instead of 1000.

Chapter 2 Obelisk Puzzle 1 of 2 tries fatal | Chapter 3 Golem Circle Puzzle - While claiming the omega orb piece 5 of 5 tries fatal | So annoying! :vw_death:| Story Book typo errors - Viewing the Book about Ogres gives the text for Gazhes and Viewing the book for Gazhes gives the text for centaurs. Mix up? I also realized that Fradz's meditation skill doesn't work sometime it shows the animation and then goes back to idle animations. There are also some NPCs that when clicked creates a few pop-up text instead of a single text making it unreadable(They overlap each other).

2.Blade of Death doesn't give any steal chance even if it says it does.
3.When i use the staff on the forgotten ones in chapter 6 nothing happens(it just gives dispel visual effect and nothing).

Does this really bug?

Chapter 10 is the final chapter. Did you honestly believe chapter 9 is the final chapter? Hah.

Ok so I know about Frad's spellbook spell that you steal from the Elite boss. where do you get the other one (spiral shield) from? I've stolen from everyone, dug up everything, and check the three different shops that I've found in chapter 2.

EDIT: thanks for fixing summons in 19a. I'll have to have Frad's put some points into it now.

Spiral Shield is from chapter 2 elite boss, steal if I remember correctly. To upgrade, you must buy the upgrade(5 Honor)

Sarofa, are you playing version 1.9 or 1.9a?

EDIT: not sure if this is a bug, but in chapter 4 I got two trinket of kindness and the other piece of the set is no where in sight. Ok nevermind. Found the other piece, but having two trinket of kindness seems redundant.

Obelisk puzzle

I could replicate this one and I'm sure it was on version 1.9a but the game crashed as I solved that puzzle it happened only once and I don't know what the difference was. Maybe the illusionary double did something there.

Chapter 3 epic Arena
First room (the many crystal golems)

If I use the large circle (8 Golems) once it is green and kill the golems so the circle would change color the game crashes.

Random Thoughts:

Galeoth could use some alternative building path. Phodom can be played as caster, tank or even physical damage with his armor debuff and damage buffs. The same goes for Fradz who can be a tank or melee damage dealer.

Galeoth on the other hand can only be a caster. I would love to see the possibility to play him in another role. More focused on ranged physical damage for example.

I suggest a new skill set

Name: Raging Ice
Type: Toggle

Once toggled on subsequent attacks at the target will increase Galeoth's attack damage for 2 seconds. This effect can stack multiple times.

Name: Frost Cannon
Type: Active / Target Point

Upon activation Galeoth creates a Cannon that will shooting at enemies in range doing the same damage as Galeoth's attack damage.

Name: Shatter Armor
Type: Single Enemy

For 3 seconds the target's armor will become 0. Galeroth will instantly attack this enemy over the 3 seconds with 50% increased attack speed. Galeroth can move in this time.

Note: I imagine this spell to work like in battletank. Where his auto attack will be disabled and replaced with a phoenix fire ability.

Many of your abilities I cannot create due to Warcraft mechanics but last two days I've been focusing on abilities. Galeoth will have a new role and new interesting abilities. Just like the others.

I can remember an much earlier version where Phodom could only dig Fradz only steal and Galeoth only brew. I actually liked that more then the way it is now. It feels better then to see a proud Galeoth or Phodom steal mid combat.

Suggestion: remove all stealing from Chapter 1, 3 and 4. Maybe you can replace them with challenges to certain bosses. When you beat them while managing this challenge they would simply drop 2 items. Knowing that this would be a long process forcing you to remake the bosses again. I would be willing to do my part and think about those If you could imagine making these changes.

Yes, well things are like this and I won't start to change again. I can never finish the campaign if I go forth and then back again thousands of time. I've grown tired of doing things over and over again. I see the campaign isn't realistic and that is a bad thing but now I don't care anymore. I just like to think that story and gameplay is two separate things.

There are also some NPCs that when clicked creates a few pop-up text instead of a single text making it unreadable(They overlap each other).

equip fradz with the shadow set, the skeleton cape, some agility items and the path of speed (or 3 paths) to double his agility. That should put him over 500% steal chance which will give him a 100% chance to steal from the lizard even with his 400% resistance.

As for defeating him. ranged attacks seem to work best. That continuous shockwave move he uses hurts, but its short range.

On that note. Does anyone know how I get the spiral shield spell for fradz spellbook in chapter 2. I can't find it anywhere.

I have shadow set and skeleton cape.. but what do you mean by agility items and part of speed. can you let me know the items..

Path of speed. it's an item you get in chapter 2 that doubles your agility for a short time when used (It combines with path of magic and path of strength to make 3 paths). the other items don't matter. anything that gives 15 or more agility is a good call.

EDIT: in response to aero. Spiral shield is gotten from clicking archeon 10 times, I've been told. Solved that riddle.

As for the final chapter. of course I knew chapter 9 wasn't the final chapter. I said so in my post. I had just assumed that you could start from the end of the current campaign after finishing what had been completed so far. Found out that wasn't the case afterwards.

Also, I happen to like the current steal/dig system. Can't please everyone, so yeah probably best not to keep changing things back and forth.

BUG REPORT: 19.a Fradz lightning golem gains no health or dmg upon leveling the ability. The elemental golem from the omega ring doesn't gain any health or dmg from the hero's level.

Hellp guys! Has someone yet defeat the Epic boss in ch9? In his last phase he seems to regenerate instantly - what are we supposed to do?

I've found the problem with the CH9 epic boss isn't so much his regeneration as the fact that he never stays on the ground long enough to do any damage to him. For the brief time he's on the ground I take his health down like crazy, but then he takes off into the air again for 5 minutes and regenerates more than i damaged him.

soo yeah, haven't even been able to beat him on easy.

I'm playing on Hard now, and the first phase isn't really hard, just kill skeletons\sticks as fast as you can, not to let the boss regenerate for too long. The hell begins when you take him down first time. He takes you to another dimension and....he has some badass buff that heals him to fuul no matter how hard you dps him.....Fradz said he has some tactics against Yurgimar, but he kept it a secret....so I just spend a lot oftime and stil....a dead end.
Btw, something appears to be wrong with the site...
