Story
Background Story
Twelve peaceful years have passed since The Great War ended. The war that lasted centuries but no man could recall the reason of. The age of despair, bloodshed, loss and grief is now past. The new age brought the opportunity for human kingdoms to rise, as humanity has broken free from the grip of the dragons.

This story focuses on Kingdom of Balgaron and three famous Dragon Slayers: Phodom, Fradz and Galeoth. Each of them starts their journey in different places, but they will eventually meet eachother and join forces along the path. Together, the three are forced to go a conflict beyond their imaginations.

Lead them into an epic world, guided by a strong storyline that covers hate, love, war and peace.

The honored Dragon Slayer Phodom gave up his life as a warrior and began a new life with his wife and his children, far away from the capital of Balgaron in the small town called Dalli. All his plans were going smooth and easy until someone steps into his life and changes everything...Fradz is a young energetic Dragon Slayer known for his short temper and bad manners. This silly thief is a very powerful warrior and it is said that he even killed powerful dragons single-handedly. After the war, Fradz went on many journeys, but one day a mysterious voice told him to travel to the famous Dragon Inn to meet someone who was once very close to him. Fradz accepts this new journey, as he knows that he cannot decline it...Galeoth, the son of a legendary Dragon Slayer lived up to his father's name and became one of the leaders of Balgaron. After the war, Galeoth still believed that the war was not yet over. His obsession to find dragons led him towards the Icy Mountains where he is about to uncover a horrible secret that will change the fate of mankind...

All abilities remade and new abilities: Battle Banner, Fiery Ball, Fire Power, Ultimate Sacrifice, Counter Attack, Energy Shield, High Strike, Crystal Plane, Galeoth's Order, Illusion Army, Magic Convert and Magical Fog.
'Critical Chance' attribute added! It starts from 5% and it can be increased various ways.
Now also Strenght increases Critical Damage just like Agility.
Chapter 5 Pumpking Quest's second cinematic updated.
Chapter 7 Epic Boss removed the terrain deforming to decrease lag.
Fixed a lot of bugs you guys mentioned.

Chapter 9 is now available for playing.
Attack and Armor types remade; values are changed and Attack & Armor types are removed. I've made the campaign simpler, easier to learn and more effective this way.
Rebalanced the armor values of all enemy units in all chapters.
Improved chapter 3's ending dialogues (outdated).
Vacuum's area of effect reduced. You cannot grab items from far away anymore.
Background stories and so-called "Books" are completely added to all chapters in this version.
Every single Spell Book spell has been added to the campaign!
Many new items and item changes. For example, superior items, which costs a huge amount of gold, are added to middle chapters; however, they're worth it!
Improved the multiboard a lot. Now it is more informative and better organized.
Combat kings once again rebalanced and changed. The major thing is that now they all cost 2 Honor Points.
Espers improved and made even stronger. Please come and tell me what you think about the Espers now. I've seen that players don't use them and I really want to make them useful.
Many changes to the starting packs! Now they should be balanced, every single one of them!
Stealing improved; now it shows the percentages.
Easter Eggs added; currently just 2 but there will be a total of 12 Easter Eggs. Check them all out!

From this version onwards, a number of items can only be bought once. Choose wisely and try not to lose those items. You cannot buy them again!

Vitality system upgraded in various ways and I've some plans to upgrade it even further in the future. One big note is that now max vitality will only increases when an item is in a character's inventory.
Now every fourth ranked synthesis Item will require a Zozi to reduce player from getting too many powerful items at early chapters.
Now each STR gives 20 health instead of 25.
Now each INT gives 10 mana instead of 15.
Chapter 4 Wisps are now easier to catch
Black merchant can only be seen between 24:00 to 6:00 o'clock.

Chapter 7 is now opened.
Boss points are now removed from the game. You can still change your Boss points to Honor points by writing this code: "-change".
Remade all item, ability, spell, esper and all other descriptions: they are now shorter and easier to read.
There is only fire, ice, and lightning spells now.
Improved multiboard by a lot, added some new stats to it also.
Added new combat kings and new spells. Combat Kings now only go up to level 5.
Added some more tactical meaning to the battle: some abilities can do or use buffs called Brittle, Stagger, and Bleed. For example some other abilities can use these buffs to deal increased damage.
Now Special abilities will increase by every level instead of every fifth level.
All professionals are now universal.
The Critical Damage bonus starts from 100% instead of 0%. The chance to do a Critical Hit is still 10%.
Once again, more items.
New Spell System: Instead of spell books you can easily use spells from left corner just like potions.
The file size is now bigger because I imported some resources to the campaign. The expected file size in the end will be about 120mb to 140mb. I hope the file size won't be a problem.
New balanced attack and armor types: Sharp, Blunt, Magic, Light, Medium, Heavy, Sturdy and Elemental.
Now some enemies are categorized as Summoned, Undead, Drgon and Monster. Some items and abilities can do extra effects to them.
Now enemies won't do their abilities while stunned.
The campaign is now optimized and protected. All thanks to Shadow Daemon for creating the awesome "campaign optimizator" program".

I have being playing this game for a long time and theres always some bugs that i m very frustrated about :
1)The receipts from synopsis shops are always changing * ( sometimes i play it doesnt have the same receipts as the last time )
**Some important receipts that are missing like ruby axe , Greater magic ball at chatper 5 and many others , i remember the previous versions i played there was greater magic ball receipt in the shop. What i suggest is put all the receipts in the game into the synopsis shops or more synopsis shops ( increase from the current 4 shops)
2)At chapter 5 , i sided from john but i could not get to the boss fight . I tried to even redownload the game but still i couldnt fight it , that means no blade of death :( .
3)Thanks for fixing most of the bugs and good luck on your work for chapter 9.

The auction hall sometimes has a bug ( when next is pressed alot of times )where you wont get your winning item , for example a second item appears in the announcer's inventory.

For me, the best Warcraft 3 Campaign I have seen so far! You are right about when you say in your map description "A story that covers hate, love, war and peace!". I can see the emotion from the character at the story even though Im still at Chapter 1 of the game. Keep up the good work, Aero! You really deserve more than 1 Reputation but I can only give one so here's a +REP!

I can't still review this one because I need to finish all the chapter for me to give a proper review!

Hmmm... maybe you don't have this war3map.j File or there's a problem with that file in your Warcraft. Either of those!

What should I do?

Anyway, streaming starts in 10 minutes.

Strongly suggesting in putting all the item recipts on the sys shops , like for example adding a few more sys shops , also siding with john doesnt let you fight the elite boss in the cave . These are my previous posts.:ogre_haosis: (sorry for the late reply)

Hmmm.... thats a bug but there might be a possibility that it is not. When you are using Phodom, when you kill enemies and you have the item with an icon of a hammer, it will increase your attack. You might have stacked many of it until your reach that kind of damage but for me.... I think that's a bug!

I know it's not any items but I think it may be the combat kings bugging out because I have max combat kings for everyone... I know it's not items because my stacks aren't even max yet on phodoms hammer for instance and I'm pretty sure there are no items that give +5k dmg by chapter 5. So if anyone knows what I can do please help me.

it easy just close your game then play again its gone,mine sometimes +7000 lol,easy to kill epic boss,not fun cause cant have time to steal.

1.How can I find the second piece of Holgro in Chapter 7?
2.Sometimes I found my attack plus 2000, 3000, 4000 or even 6000 besides my original attack, which make my fighting with epic boss quite easy. Is this specially designed?
3.The max num of the flower is 25 in Chapter 5, but I found 26...

Hello, I just found out about this map and I am eager to try it out but it seems I am missing something ... do I have to download (some/all) previous maps in order to be able to play this one? I've noticed the chapters and all but my research didnt bear any fruits. A download link next to each submap would be great (if they are some and required to play this map). Looking forward to playing this map, looks awesome! Btw, the map is in .w3n format, not in w3x, so it doesnt show up on my maps in the game. If I try renaming it to .w3x it shows as "Just another warcraft III map" and wont start. I also tried opening it with editor (in the weird case that it could only be run with "test" button in the editor since it's beta, but editor gives me a fresh/blank map). Could it be that I need a different version of warcraft than the latest one? I have just ran out of ideas as to what the problem might be, any help will be appreciated! :)

Dude, w3n format means you should donwload it on your "Campaign" folder that can be located at your Warcraft III Folder. You can not really play it in w3x format because its not a map but a Campaign! Wish you understand me.:thumbs_up:

If you need a better explanation just say it to me!

In chapter 2, puzzle room with the obelisks, if you try activating them while invisible with Fradz, it results in a critical error. Anyone else can confirm this so it can be looked at as a bug?

Also:
-a color code error in alchemy list, Potion of Experience, "Requirements".
-Scope of Magic (starter item for Fradz) doesnt seem to work, my steal chance and evasion is the same wether I have it in my inventory or not.
-sometimes I fail/forget to steal a boss, but when I move away from its spot after it's dead and come back later, the stealable item is there on the ground. Is that intentional?
Will update the list as I move on, but I'm playing hardcore so it's slow.

Found anther bug , i saved game at chapter 3 before doing the elite boss maze , after i reload into the mission , i could not find the ring anymore hence i couldn't fight the elite boss and get the omega rings . I suggest putting more shops so all the recipts in game can be found . good luck on the map!

To be honest this is one of the best campaigns i have ever played but there was some bugs one of these bugs was at first when i have to choose each hero's skills i took sometime like 2 mins to read phodom skills and make up my mind which one to choose then i just click on the heroes' icons at the top left of the screen and then i clicked on the skill i wanted to choose but it acts as if i didnt choose it and i had to restart the long loading again.Anyway cool map seriously cool awesome campaign and so fun to play.No need for a long comment i sum all of it up in the word awesome and i rate it 5/5.Just fix this bug please.

Is this campaign, or at least its title, by any chance inspired by Dream Evil's 2002 Album "Dragonslayer" and the song "The Chones Ones" on there? D:

About the campaign: I am currently in the dragon inn chapter, and so far I am enjoying it a lot. There are just a few things - minor in comparison to the scope of the campaign - which I would like to point out in terms of constructive criticism.

1.) The single chapters take a LONG time to load. I know this is unavoidable, but it is particularly annoying when trying a boss fight for the first time, not knowing what awaits you, and then losing the game (I had this 3 to 4 times with the Murloc/Fishtern in the first chapter, since I started on extreme - and still going strong there without giving up xD). Of course, in the map, you point out that saving often is recommended. And it does restore the effort of having to do a lot of things again before the boss fight. Indeed, the dialog asking you whether you want to fight a boss/are ready for it now which always pops up is really helpful. What I would recommend you to include, though, is the following:

Write a script/trigger/however you wish to call it which, before a fossfight (i.e. after the player said to be ready for what's coming), performs some kind of "in-chapter"-autosave, i.e. stores the heros' current gold, honour, lives, items, etc., and if the player wipes in the bossfight and the game would be over, provide an option to "reload" the game from that checkpoint, without actually having to reload the chapter. This would save a lot of time, and from the impression I got of the - no doubt mostly well made - boss fights so far, it should be implementable without too many problems/trigger conflicts.

2.) Language in conversations: I think that at many instances, the conversations between characters are an odd blend of fantasy vocabulary mixed with more "modern" words, and somewhat closely connected to that, rather serious talks mixed up completely with random palaver. It is funny sometimes (e.g. when Phodom and Fradz meet the Sylvanas-model-archer in the dragon inn chapter), but I also found some dialogues annoying. This is not only related to this "dichotomy", if you so will, but also to Phodom starting every dialogue with "Blahblah I'm a dragon slayer." And ending it with "I helped you but I don't do for a reward. Oh nm I'll get a reward anyway haha!". Also, in general, there's quite a lot of typos in the dialogue texts. I know this is super-annoying to fix, especially with how many conversations your characters have, but if you ever have too much spare time, maybe work that over.

3.) Dialogue popups: although it disturbs my game flow a bit, I understand why you have included this short ~1-second fade-oud-time before a dialog pops up, e.g. when you get close to an NPC and are asked whether you want to hand them the necessary quest item etc. It would be annoying if the dialog popped up right away while the player was clicking another button, and thus immediately "close" the dialog. However, in some instances, I would recommend another solution, especially when quests are concerned. Let's take the Mage's Guild dude in the dragon inn chapter who wants to repair/set up the teleporters. Every time I walk past him, the dialog pop ups, and my game flow is interrupted for at least 10 seconds. This already happened a few times while I was just walking around the Northern side of the river (I like to wander around and explore, treasure hunting really got me a bit ;)), since the guy is at quite some central location. Instead of making this quest work via a dialog, why not make the guy a "shop" which "sells" an "item" called something like "return the magic orb". This way, players could still decide whether and when to return the item, etc. The same thing would work for Talloon (I hope I spelled it correctly) and many other NPCs, like the clansmen in chapter 1. Especially concerning these, you could add a new "item" after the player found out that challening was possible: "challenge the Archmage". When "bought", i.e. activated, the clansman at the gates (or Phodom, for that instance) could then either say right away "No, not yet" without activating letterbox mode and interrupting game flow (I found this quite annoying because I never knew when I could actually start the challenge and had to go through everything a couple of times), or start letterbox mode and the whole cutscene.

4.) One major bug I encountered was in Chapter 4, where you play Phodom for the second time. I met the other dragonslayer (apprentices) and then finished the boss in the southeastern corner before I had clicked on all wisps. After hitting 10 wisps, the game correctly informed me that I was being called to the lair, which I had visisted before the bossfight even, but the magic barrier had not disappeared.
The tooltips for the rejuvenation potion on Galeoth, I think, are also bugged for me in the dragon inn chapter. The "ability" name is somehow displaying a wrong code.
Furthermore, Fradz' lightning elemental doesnt level hit points and damage. Something must be wrong with the upgrades. The abilities work fine, I got the new one on level 4 just as I should have.
Another bug (at least I do think it is one) I just ran into right now: the Pumpkin boss keeps resurrecting. For about the 6th time now.

Apart from that, as mentioned in the beginning of my post, I'm really enjoying your campaign. My post may sound negative, but it's not intended to be - it's just that noting everything I liked would take too much time ;)

You should be able to fight elite boss without needing to have a ring.

About chapter 3, there's a slight possibility I'll remade the chapter someday.

The campaign started from the song "The Chosen Ones" from Dream Evil. One guy shown me the song and I was like wow, I need to create a campaign from this song. You'll hear the song in the last three epic bosses and the final boss.

I can't much make the loading time faster. I could do what you suggest but it would take a lot of time to do so(about custom save/load)

Language in conversations: I think that at many instances, the conversations between characters are an odd blend of fantasy vocabulary mixed with more "modern" words, and somewhat closely connected to that, rather serious talks mixed up completely with random palaver. It is funny sometimes (e.g. when Phodom and Fradz meet the Sylvanas-model-archer in the dragon inn chapter), but I also found some dialogues annoying. This is not only related to this "dichotomy", if you so will, but also to Phodom starting every dialogue with "Blahblah I'm a dragon slayer." And ending it with "I helped you but I don't do for a reward. Oh nm I'll get a reward anyway haha!". Also, in general, there's quite a lot of typos in the dialogue texts. I know this is super-annoying to fix, especially with how many conversations your characters have, but if you ever have too much spare time, maybe work that over.

I don't have very good English so I've some guys who helps me with the texts. By having many guys means a lot of different kind of texts. Nowadays I'm simply too bored to do early chapters over and over again so I've decided simply just to go forward and finish the campaign. I'm writing a book / blog also that is in the same world and is connected to this story. This story has things a lot better done. I would say that the campaign tells a background story for the coming stories I'll write.

This way, players could still decide whether and when to return the item, etc. The same thing would work for Talloon (I hope I spelled it correctly) and many other NPCs, like the clansmen in chapter 1. Especially concerning these, you could add a new "item" after the player found out that challening was possible: "challenge the Archmage". When "bought", i.e. activated, the clansman at the gates (or Phodom, for that instance) could then either say right away "No, not yet" without activating letterbox mode and interrupting game flow (I found this quite annoying because I never knew when I could actually start the challenge and had to go through everything a couple of times), or start letterbox mode and the whole cutscene.

I could make it like you touch the wizard to start the event.Tell me all places where this should be done and it will be done.

The campaign started from the song "The Chosen Ones" from Dream Evil. One guy shown me the song and I was like wow, I need to create a campaign from this song. You'll hear the song in the last three epic bosses and the final boss.

Hehe nice xD I saw them live as support for Stratovarius (I think) on their Polaris tour in 2010.

About the save/load system: I definitely agree that it will take a fair amount of time to implement that - but I also believe that it would improve the playing experience. At least if a player doesn't originally intend to play the campaign multiple times, but still wants to give it a shot on a high difficulty (like me xD)

About the quest interaction without automatic letterbox mode/dialog popup, I'll list those that come into my head right away now, and keep you updated on future ones!
- In chapter 1, the clansman archmage, at least after the first encounter. He could have a challenge "item" right away, and a "talk" item which then launches the dialog, or something like that.
- When you come to a certain blocked path for the 2nd and later times, maybe just give the "I can't pass here right now" message directly, without letterbox mode. An example would be the westward path in the Icy Mountains in chapter 3.
- In chapter 5, the mage's guild guy that asks for the greater magic ball would be an obvious example.

These are all I can think of right away, but as I said, I'll keep a more detailed list from now on :)

I don't know if I did something seriously wrong or something, but when I got to chapter one (After picking the skills of thy dragons slayers) there is no hero to select and the screen is just a dark red fog.

Well the progress has little slowed as I seriously started to write a book/blog. The story is related to this campaign as it's set in the same world. Anyway, what is left to be done is elite boss fight and... Well that's about it. Then of course a lot of testing.

I'll soon start to use my Twitter and then you guys can check out every day the progress.

“The Chosen” also contains several systems for players to interact with each other in organizations of guilds, clans, master-and-disciple, and so on. The shooter game Warframe features the MMO elements and allows players to team up to shoot monsters. All of these make this game get a high score in the MMOWood site.

actually there's a bug when i used berserk combat kings i have 8000 damage, how can i remove it cause it make the game not challenging anymore even i played on hardcore

Hey I was wondering if there was a solution to my problem? When I go to play your campaign it pauses then reopens the Custom Campaign screen with no options for it and I can't launch it?!?
Anyway I can fix this?
