I personally like the bright version better, the firefly effect gives off a nice magical feel
to the terrain, and breaks just enough of the monotony of the otherwise very purple
terrain.
That second one is way better than the first one, IMO. The sky is more refined, the perspective is better, and it just has a better feel all around.
The first one felt a bit cramped due to how much screen space the doodads took up. It would have been fine if so much emphasis hadn't been placed on the sky, but the second terrain really opens it up and lets the sky really shine.
Honestly, though, you don't need photoshop to make fireflies like that,
it's just going to take you enough time to grow a beard doing it with the
editor
