When I read the suggestion 'catastrophic', I liked it. I'm not going to participate, but I do like to see nice submissions. Maybe we could make a terrain that is being victim of a natural disaster, like a hurricane or tsunami.

I watched The Day After Tomorrow this afternoon, so that explains :gg:

How can we begin thinking of new competition when the #6st isnt decided yet..? D:

Anyways, ideas... Hmmmz.

One idea: Random Terrain, or Abstract since Avator wanted me to, I'm going to write a description to my suggestion:

- To make something completely unnatural, and still make it look good.

what about black-white shot?

Everybody know that black-white photo has different atmosphere than color one.

Like sin city, schindlers list etc, or max payne (that was colorful but close to NOIR style)

It is not so hard to make som jpges like black-white using photoshop or gimp or whatever.

Or black-white with one another color only (like sin city when blood was red etc.)

i would say.. BLIZZARD GAME related

so you could make something related about Diablo1, Diablo2, Diablo3, Starcraft, etc..
BUT NOT WARCRAFT3 for shure :D

or maybe..

-Lord Of the Ring related (helm deep, Moria etc..)
-Sanctuary (for a god)
-Walt Disney!! (A scene from one of the movie :D)
-Wanner Bros (Bugs Bunny, a scene from one of the episodes :D)

I think we should have something like " Warcraft Lore (UTM or no models at all) what might have happend". Maybe it wasn't Arthas who merged with Ner'Zhul, perhaps the farmer guy that gave the bandit quest in the very first mission went to Icecrown and killed them all....

Well some kind of humoristic terrain would be awesome.

Lol, this is image editing, not terraining...

Ok, if you want, it can be made by another way

Export all skins of models&tilesets&sky&effect etc, open photoshop, turn them to black-white, import them, and then make terrain. Satisfied?

Lotr related-that mythical was almost the same
Starcraft-w3 is fantasy game, not scifi, this cannot work

No black and white means something like this (or maybe this is more of a silhouette):

What is this shit lolololllllllooooooollllllloooooooooooooo

Silhouettes is kinda stupid IMO. It takes it very far away from the terraining part and makes it more like sfx/doodad. I don't see how you'll involve ANY terraining in there.

ALSO black and white means black and white ;) as in all tints using equal r/g/b

I'd be careful with silhouette as a theme, those terrains can be really nice, but they also get boring very fast. And a whole contest with only silhouette entries seems just lame to me.

Small World sounds cool. ^^
