Race Changes:
  • Naval Units (Some maps)

New Races:
  • Burning Legion (Can be chosen when playing Undead)
  • Old God Minions (Can be chosen when playing Night Elf)
  • Dark Horde (Can be chosen when playing Orc)
  • Eastern Horde (Can be chosen when playing Human)

New Races cannot be chosen when food costs exceed 5. Therefore, enabling Random Heroes for the game disallows the choosing of alternate Races even for the AI. It is also recommended that you do not issue commands on starting units until the selection has shown up.

Neutral Units:
  • Ancient Vaults - Sells various Unique items and Artifacts
  • Arcane Library - Helps your Heroes become more powerful
  • Arcane Observatory - Allows you to reveal an area of the map and detect invisible units
  • Bank - Exchanges gold for lumber and vice versa
  • Fountain of Energy - Regenerates the health and mana of all non-mechanical units nearby
  • Merchant - Sells various magic items
  • Tavern - Allows you to resurrect Heroes instantly

    After Aliden Perenolde’s death, the Syndicate fell on hard times. Around the time of the Cataclysm, the Alliance and the Horde were busy fighting Twilight Cultists as well as each other. It was during this time that Aliden’s older sister, Beve, came out of hiding to rally the remaining stragglers from both the Syndicate and the allied Argus Wake. They made their way to the ruins of Alterac City and took it back from the Ogres, setting up their new base of operations in the process.

Loosing a few gold and lumber at the begining? Hero costs 425 gold and 100 lumber, thats big money at the begining, im playing it currently, and because of the tax i'll have to wait a while to get those resources. Fix it plz, its annoying.

I have browsed the in-game scripts and it seems that making the first hero free is connected to the World Editor trigger action: "Melee Game - Create Starting Units". Unfortunately, I do not use said trigger action anymore. As of the moment, I can't do anything about it. One way I'm thinking of getting around this is to increase starting resources.

And why you can't chop down trees?

I increased the hit points of trees so that you can harvest as much as you can before it dies. I'm trying to avoid a lumber shortage. An army of Shredders under the Dark Horde can deforest an area too quickly.

Great map, i like it, but you should make the AI use the ships, not just look at my shiny ones.

The problem is that the AI players would have a hard time placing their shipyards. I tried it before and they sometimes end up building shipyards on land although near the water. When they start trying to build the ships, the game may crash.

I also like the idea of having "elite" knights, i always wanted to have navy and elite knights like Admiral Proudmoore. Maybe you could add elite riflemen and/or elite mortar teams too?

I don't really like tampering the units of the original races again. I have already disturbed game balance by some additions I made. Though some of such changes don't make sense gameplay wise, they are there for aesthetic purposes. But now that you mentioned it, I might consider the Terran Marine unit as the elite rifleman.

If you are following some kind of lore, then I just don't understand where Old Gods' servants got green dragons from?

They're supposed to be the nightmare dragons. The nightmare of the emerald dream corrupted some of them.

Well, i didn't know about the AI shipyards and nightmare dragons. This means everything is ok :) If i'll find any bugs i'll post it here.

Your SfA maps are definitely a great twist off the typical melee scenario. LoL it's always amusing when friends and I are just running around frantically all, "You find the trainer, yet? The FUCK'S he at??"

I can't really think of anything this map needs, although it's just my random opinion that one of the Burning Legion heroes could have been a Doom Guard, of sorts ~

decent map but you shouldnt have used so much zerg stuff for the burning legion. i also found a glitch that cause the first town hall of the burning legion to stack parts of its model. i do have a suggestion though and that is that you increase the maximum number of heroes a player can control to 4 in order to match the amount of levels of the town hall building.

The map is "optimized". Optimization reduces file size but also "protects" the map from being opened by the editor.

Good map, though navigation is a bit annoying sometimes (maybe you could make some of the houses destructible).

Air units can activate gate switches.
The AI is good, but the human one seems a lot stronger than the others: every time I played with all AI, there was always a human alive and well by endgame.

I know. I had to allow it because triggering gets messy when I have to limit it to ground units. I may change it in the future.

That's how the AI is. I didn't change anything that much aside from adding some units and the new heroes into the equation.

When I try to start this map from the custom game there's no options for adding computers, setting races, etc. and when I try to start the game it goes back to the selection screen, what's up with that? This map looks really interesting and I can't play it because of that.
