So. Since the human book is out and we dont know what and when the next book will start, time for some conspiracy theories!
Basically, stories about what happened after the war to people like Gardon, Renald, Aedale and so on are impossible due them being alive/dead based on our choices, thus it would not be linear anyway.
But what about other people during the war? Story of papa Redfist, for example. I am sure we will meet him in the second orc book, but there may be more.
Or story about the remnants of the Kasrkin and their last surviving commander.
What was he doing after he escorted Aedale? He doesnt seem too fond of staying in kingdoms, but he cant return home since the "emperor" wouldnt be too happy about it.
Then there are the stories of what happened before the war. Larine´s exile, Renald´s original crusade against them demons on imperial continent across the sea, Rahandir´s adventures while he was alive!

The Kasrkin are possibly just wanderers at this point. I'm not even sure if they wear their armour anymore.
Another thing that *might* have happened, although it's a very slight possibility - Aridon has saw they have fulfilled their role in the balance and has sent Krom, Rahandir or Edoarus to kill the remainder of them. They fought against Genethas, fought against the orcs, escorted Aedale to the cave, they are less than the size of a platoon at this point, so why keep them alive? I doubt they have a bigger purpose.

I imagine the Larine story to have sort of went like this - She complained about the idness of her race. Some people were influenced, maybe that's why we saw people like Teran, although still loyal to the queen, accepting that the elves will have to fight for a time. The Queen wasn't happy, especially since Larine was spreading that she was a fool. So the queen sends her assasins, kills her lover, but exiles Larine, since people influenced by her, finding out sooner or later that she was killed by Renova's orders would cause a massive outrage.

I´d love to imagine Larine´s story like this:
On a beautiful summer´s evening, she and her soon to be lucky elf go for a walk, maybe a picnic and a hunt. They go for hunting bet, who gets the bigger deer on the table gets his wishes fulfilled (= can choose which sauce and herbs to use when roasting that deer so no dirty thoughts!) and then have that meal and maybe wine with herbs (ever tried that? wine with herbs? or alcohol with herbs? they can give it a bite or a kick). During the hunt, they split. Larine cant find the guy, so he goes to the local ranger´s quarters to get more rangers searching. Body is found, tracks lead away from elven territory. Larine wants to pursue, Lenova forbids it. Larine is heartbroken, yells at her, gets kicked out. A nice crimi novel right there!
