Two things only. Add a light - rip the ambient light from Torch to get a slightly better looking model. Add some particle emitters to its weapons. (I know people aren't fond of too many particles but still...)

A few criticisms first:
1. I don't like the blade texture, never have. But that's just personal preference
2. For a basic unit model, this packs a lot of polys. And not in the mesh, but remember every particle is 2 polys.
Now for the positive sides:
Looks like you baked it with pure concentrated badassness. I don't think I've seen a cooler model on the site.. Well, maybe a few that meet this, but this definitely ranks up there. The mesh, especially the spikes, are really cool, and the staff looks awesome.

It is supposed to be a skeleton. Too much armour would make people wonder if HappyTauren is off his mind. I liked the little pouches part but can one really see them through all that fire?
BTW, I repeat what I said, add fire to the weapons.
