[Trigger] Scaling Special Effects in GUI

I've seen a few threads about scaling effects, but those were about effects like projectiles and effects attached to the model. In my map, I want to create an independent Special Effect (created by the Special Effect - Create Special Effect At Point/On Unit command) in 2 sizes. Is it possible to scale trigger created Special Effects by trigger or should I create 2 Special Effects?

And how should I connect a special effect to a dummy? Like I said: The Special Effect comes out of nowhere by trigger and it's not an ability.

(Well, it is an ability, but there's no ability button and such. Instead, I use dialog buttons for that and later on, I'll use a multiboard.)
