We could just invent some machine that freezes the water again and turning them into ice. But of course, that will take a lot of time.

Apparently you do not know how freezing works. You freeze something by moving the heat out of the object and putting it somewhere else. And the process of freezing creates even more heat itself (due to entropy).

what about global-warming? lol

I've got news for you. Global warming is not man made. It is a natural cycle the earth goes through. I'm sorry it pains me to hear people talk about garbage.

Me i plant some plants at our backround..

Do you think the will help?

  • Foreign country's demolish thousands of trees a day for things like timber and paper. This is the removal of animal and insect habitats, and disrupts oxygen and carbon dioxide levels.

  • Things like mining convert fertile lands into wastelands, making them completely uninhabitable.

  • The world test nuclear bombs over the ocean quite regularly, or at least they use to. I don't think I have to explain how nuking our ocean is a bad thing.

There is so much evil going on. Your input is quite frankly insignificant. Your efforts would be better spent researching the reality of your argument and raising public awareness about the matter.

It's true that global warming is natural, but mankind is greatly increasing the rate of global warming to a dangerous level. Tbh though, we're only a factor of 10 away from efficient fusion energy, as opposed to a factor of 1000000 several years ago, so the energy crisis should be solved "relatively" soon.

planting a plant at your backround even it is just you at least you make some effort to save the earth somehow..

Global Warming is a natural event BUT it is not natural anymore because Ultraviolet Rays is now heating the earth cause our Ozone Layer is destroyed. I mean the heat is not normal anymore..

A Big Refrigarator?.. Well do you get the energy to run it?.. from Coal?.. damn instead of making the earth cooler you just add bunch of heat..

Yes, it is natural. The problem is our impact on this cycle.
It's not scary for us to see 400 parts per million of CO2 in our atmosphere, what's scary is how fast the CO2 component of our atmosphere is increasing. (It was at 295 parts per million about a hundred years ago give or take 10 years if I recall)

i start Global warming topic and this is what happen..
i never expect this.. nevermind..

The video is a mockery of the idea of Global Warming. Watch seriously though.

Connotation: "save" earth, ergo it is "dying" ?

First of all, you'd have to define what "dying" means in this context.
Implosion? Eradication of all life? Sucked in by a black hole?

Humanity is just another disease the planet called "Earth" will "survive". The state of things change, but its existence won't be denied.

The only scenario of armageddon I am familiar with, is the expansion of the sun of our galaxy. It will devour several, if not all, planets and result in another big bang.
Or something. I am not interested enough in astro science to really give a damn.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Will_our_sun_become_a_supernova

Stars do not cause big bangs. They can cause supernovas. However, our star, then sun, will not cause a supernova as it's mass is too small to do so. Simply put, stars progress through different phases. As the sun's fuel (hydrogen) runs low, the sun will become a "red giant". This will result in the sun expanding and consuming nearby planets. In time, the sun will dissipate leaving it's hot core. Basically a mini sun.

But, lets all take a look at the videos I posted above. Definitely worth watching :)

As I've said before, we're only a factor of 10 away from efficient nuclear fusion, so give us another 2 or 3 years and all the oil companies will go out of business, as nuclear fusion is clean (only helium comes out) and is low cost (since there's so much hydrogen)

When fission came out it could have been the solution to our energy problems but the companies would not allow it.

As much as I hope that fusion will solve our problems we would need to stop the oil companies from taking control of it. Nationalising power is the way forward the Tories obviously don't understand that. It wouldn't matter how cheap it is the energy companies wouldn't lower their prices. I only hope you're right.

Global warming is a natural cycle as said the ozone layer can be repaired naturally as well. The ice age is the culmination of global warming. The problem with deforestation is that we haven't created a cycle for it. We would need to plant a specific about of plants each month wait a few decades the. Cut them down. After that every month we would have more trees to cut down and a cycle of infinite wood then comes about.

Well the European Union is funding our fusion project here in Europe. Although its based in southern France us here in Britain are contributing a lot to it.

Nuclear stigma is ridiculous fusion reactors can't even be weaponised and the security here at hunterston is very tight.

I see what you mean though the democrats might keep the project but rest assured the republicans are just waiting to sell it to some oil company.

The earth is perfectly fine. The black rhino is extinct in the wild but African red horses thought to be extinct appeared out of nowhere again.

I didn't say it was impossible to weaponise we already have fusion weapons: the hydrogen bomb. My point is that you can't blow up a fusion reactor using only the reactor itself.

Hmm, true. Atm there is no known way to turn that energy into any kind of wave(instead of just heat that will quickly fade)

EDIT: But then again, releasing a pool of 2-million degree plasma would still create quite a nice heatwave.

The radiators would absorb it and taking out the radiators would shut down the reactor. That heat is hard to maintain and it's actually more dangerous having the reactor in working order than throwing a spanner in the works. This is my field of expertise so don't worry if they build a reactor next to you you'll be fine.

You know how people are always complaining about how species die out because we're too big an impact on nature? I live in Belgium, and things are really getting better and better in our ecosystems. Every day, I see new bugs, or even new mammals such as small elephants and other rodents. Yesterday, I was stunned to see, that when I tried to leave my house from the backdoor, my passage was blocked by a giant tree that grew overnight. Amazed as I was, I could only think about how I never felt so alive, surrounded by nature. I immediately packed a few personal things, such as a passport, a picture of my wife and kids, my mom's old necklace etc... and left my house. I now live in the woods, in a small shack made out of fallen twigs and clay.

I decided to dedicate my life to the extended restoration of our environment, and to bring back our society to a state where we, humans, are no longer a threat to the beauty of nature. We must go back to simpler times, where our sole pollution was the shit we didn't wipe from our buts. When there were no cars, no power plants, no cellphones, no wars, no hospitals, and no written language. We must become our ancestors.

If you wish to assist me on this mission, you can send me a PM because I could use some financial aid.
Many cheers, people. You are beautiful.
