Mkay, im not going to make this thread long, actually only to show u guys here at hive a few glimpse of my current project, since its only available for my friends for now...
Also i used LOTS of pathing blockers to make sure no one gets stuck with blink or with other abilities, so i had to keep an eye on the doodad limit!

Dont mind about they green dices, they are just dummy units which wont be removed on game view settings!
Also not all of the units are showed because its not in-game shots, there are actually units standing on the roofs of buildings and towers!

Btw the last 3 screenies doesnt have much to do with terraining, but only to spoil a little about my map and to show how big the map actually is! :p

Nah the white fog works very well if you ask me, cus i have it on 4000 and once in awhile it begins raining.
Dark fogs doesnt look that well either, i prefer using light fogs if the theme of the map isnt supposed to be dark or evil looking.
Btw i changed the fog a bit on the screenies to 5000-8000 so i didnt have to take many small screenies!

Yes, it is a very nice terrain, and, I dont know why, when i looked at the first screens, I felt like it was a sunny morning. Just a thing: The stone path in the cities are too correctly, artificial. Make them with some fails where the "grass had grown" at the borders. you can also add shrubs. But the terrain is excelent!

Good work! I suggest taking off fog when taking screens from a high view. Or raising the value so it's not so dense.

I wind up over doodading things though, make sure you don't. I may have used too many on Castle Siege. It was beginning to lag on WE. I probably had over 7000, on a small map.

Yeah, Craka_J is right. The indoor terrain is poor. Hint: Dont put the tables one ON another. Put one beside another, but the space between them must not be seen if you want. It will get a better look.
yeye, i know its poor looking!
btw i didnt use tables, i used bookshelves and placed them so they faced in with another angle!

Hmm this goes on totally 6750 doodads, but its a big map not a small one.

This is a bit off topic but. Nudl I have to say this is a great map, I love it! The game play is very nice and not like all other AoS maps which is great imo, the spells and skills are good and inventive, and it's overall a very balanced and fun to play map, please finish it!

Me neither, but none of the paths doesnt rly match!

Try sunken ruins Rough dirt - slide it all the way to the first position so everything covers the edge.

Although its supposed to be rough dirt it looks so much like paving stones.

You did a nice job of mixing rock textures on hills and what not - breaks up the monotony of the rock faces.

If this is playable terrain then you need to show us more of game camera settings - either from inside the game or locking to the game camera default distance and angle of attack.

Im gonna release a little beta when i'v finished the 4.th hero, so its playable for 12 ppl and not 3 cus theres 3 players per. hero and i'v finished only 3 heroes, but when i finish the 4.th you can see the complete terrain for the whole map!
I just need 2 spells now and a few charged items ^^

Wow that map looks good!! I was wondering also were you got those japanese houses. They look great and I have looked all over The Hive trying to find it. If you could please direct me to their location, or just send me it zipped that would be awsome. I am going to use them in my map and I think they will fit right in. And secondly, you created Samurai Legends!?!? I love that game!
Anyway, those look awsome! Keep it up.

THis time im going to make the terrain more correct aswell, cus now the map doesnt look quite correct, and so i planned the terrain more carefully!
