Sage

Introduction:
The Sage is a master of destruction by magic, and a specialist in fire. Fire is at the heart of her every ability, and indeed at the heart of the Sage herself. Using the power of the wind of fire, she can lay waste to swaths of enemies, or incinerate select foes with white hot energy. Her magic feeds upon itself, upon the enemy, and upon the Sage herself. Embracing the fires within her mind, the Sage herself is engulfed in flame. She directs this inferno against her foes, filling them with searing power until they burst, incinerated by arcane flames so hot they threaten to ignite the air itself.

Due to the volatile nature of Ashena, the Fiery energy source that they manipulate, the Sage is always risking a heavy burst of flames that could incinerate herself. This buildup of Ashena, known as 'Overheat', causes the Sage to burn in her own flames; damaging her over time while preventing her from casting. However, even the most skilled Sage will get burned when playing with fire. Pushing the heath too high can result in this incineration of magical energy that will damage the Sage herself.

Heath
Sages use heath to empower their attacks. Their heath bar shows the amount of heath they have up to a maximum of 100%. The heath will passively increase the Sage's fire critical strike chance but will slowly decrease when not casting any spells. Every fire spell a Sage casts will increase the caster's heath but at a cost. Whenever the heath bar reaches 100% the Sage will take heavy fire damage and get silenced for a short duration making it essential for the Sage to keep the heath under 100% at all costs.

Because the heath gives such a boost to the damage output of a Sage it's wise to keep the heath at a pretty high percentage. A player playing the Sage should play with finding the heath balance to get great damage output but without being in danger of reaching the 100%.

Playing as a Sage:
As a Sage you will destroy the enemy with arcane fire, but you must do so with cunning intellect, or risk finding your own end despite your power. Your defenses are minimal, and you are nothing if not obvious. For you, the best defense is your own mighty offense and that can be a very powerful deterrent. Quick decisive action is pivotal to your fighting. You must unleash your spells on the enemy forthwith so that they have the greatest possible opportunity to burn. Then you must take advantage of the opportunities this presents, using other powers to detonate your burning victims. If you are incautious, you may be slain before your enemy is defeated, only for him to fall to your lingering magic, but with skill and quick thinking victory will be yours.

Playing against a Sage:
The only real solution to a Sage's deadly power is her death, and even this may not save you if she has had time to do her work. Her magic lingers and burns, so you must be prepared to withstand not only her powerful direct assault, but the aftereffects of your battle. Resistance to her spells is key in limiting her ability to destroy you outright, but offensive power is equally important for putting her to a quick end. Ultimately, against a Sage it will be a race to see who can kill who first. However, it is a race for which she is well equipped, and her tools make her more and more potent the longer that race goes on.
