Awaiting update
Before he does I would recommend giving the infantry the ability to collect resources and build similar to how the Romans would actually use their Legions. I would also hope at some point for some Equites, Slingers and Auxiliary units before moving to the Greeks or Diadochi. The Carthaginian units would be very similar to that of the Greeks and Diadochi so I do not know if they would warrant their own pack. Also it should be noted these are Late Republic to Early Imperial Romans so they would not have been the Romans that fought Carthage. Fingolfins model here is a Roman from the Mid-Republic who would have fought Carthage Roman Legionnaire (Polybian)This is fresh, we need more of this types of models, do some Carthaginians or Greeks next, That might spawn a couple of new fresh maps.
I find these a very good fit for the wc3 art style, great job.
Well Dave is not adding additional models to the pack. Now when a patch would occur to fix the sanity check I am unsure. I am currently working on an addon pack for this having formerly studied the Romans in College to make a nice and complete roster. The Aquila bearer, and the Centurion are almost done. The Legionary in plate is already done.I was trying to find this pack to download again, so I searched "Roman" and this didn't pop up.
Then I saw there was an update request by the moderation staff, which is why I guess the filters kept it from immediately popping up on the Model search.
Would love to see this one get completed, it deserves coverage.
As always, you have some of the best models.
To be more precise, default search excludes "awaiting updates", so you just have to tick it !I was trying to find this pack to download again, so I searched "Roman" and this didn't pop up.

I know this is a late reply but there is actually enough stuff on Hive to cobble together the Greeks. If you want me to dm you the models to use for the most accurate possible Greeks with this method let me know. This is f-ing sweet. Ancient greek models would be too.....just an idea
They will come in the Mid Republic and Late Imperial packs.More spearmen variations please![]()
Thank you. They will come in the Mid Republic and Late Imperial packs.
The issue is because when Dave originally made this he had limited knowledge of the Romans and the sources he was provided were insufficient resulting in discrepancies regarding how the units functioned. As a result it has a melee and throw with the Pilum. I took over the Roman project with his occasional assistance to fix any discrepancies regarding them. The spearmen of later packs will only have melee while the other infantry will still have the throw animation for Pilum and Plumbatae.Isn't the Pillum-thrower bugged though?
Attack Two is correct spear thrust, but Attack One is spear throw.
Aren't these two animations supposed to be for melee? If so, then while this unit is in melee combat, it has a throw animation, which looks off.
