Roman Legionnaire (Polybian)

This bundle is marked as awaiting update. A staff member has requested changes to it before it can be approved.
I've decided to try to upload some of the old stuff on my harddrive that people have been asking me to share.

Some of these models are almost a decade old, and in hindsight i regret making them in a more "realistic" style - back then i usually had the ambition of doing total overhauls to change Wc3 into something else, but since then i've grown to love the original artstyle and i have a lot of respect for people like HerrDave who manage to nail it with models that go well together. Nevertheless, i hope people will find these useful.

This model is of a legionnaire of the mid-Roman era (often called the "Polibyan army" after the historian Polybius, who described it in great detail), before the Marian reforms.

A wonderful addition to the Roman models on the site even if there are no other soldiers of his era. Spacebuns is correct with regards to the armor if this was an Early or High Legionary. It should also be added the term Legionary is sometimes retroactively used by some historians to earlier eras as well even if that was not the ranks official name. I believe from records it can be considered a Late Republic soldier easily during its transition phase because the records mention a slow not instant process after the Marian reforms so you could have a mix. I also greatly appreciate the Archer model. A shame about its animations but better to have it than not. Plus I appreciate the realistic style. In my personal opinion it is better than the Reforge style. Thank you for uploading.
