A large number of natives have risen up against the Empire of Obsidia. The sudden revolt has crippled Obsidian forces WITHIN Alastorn, and managed to bring forth havoc and terror onto some civilian cities and military bases.

Most of the natives have better physical raw strength compared to the Obsidian humanoids, and some of them could equal the Obsidian monsters too.

However, Inioshia's screaming has attracted the attention of Obsidian troops and animals...

The Phantoms also made their advance. More and more cities falling under Phantom dominance. However, the Phantoms weren't exactly friendly with the Devourers and the natives either. Any enemy caught on sight would be either mind controlled or eliminated.

And now, the Phantoms launched a minor skirmish against the Renegade's Covenant. About three dozens of conventional tanks, two dozens of weird contraptions and several circuses of weirdos were unleashed onto their southeastern borders.

A few of the Devourers would also get shot by venomous bullets from afar. Sources unknown yet.

Strangely enough, the Obsidians didn't put much effort defending their outer territories in Alastorn. But still, they would put out a good fight and the Obsidians wouldn't leave key locations and the inner areas to be occupied, including the very back of the mountainous range circle.

The numbers of Obsidian troops present in Alastorn seem to be reducing as well. But a certain area in the far back seems crowded. Too crowded.

The Storm of War

1. Grand Meeting of the Two Lims in Peiping
September 21, Year 120 of the Revival Calendar

This is not to be confused with either the Peace of Westphalia or the Convention of Peking. And no, this is also not to be confused with the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact.

September 21st, 2031 CE. The great day had finally arrived, where the powerful legends of both great powers met each other face-to-face. China as a whole was immersed within an atmosphere of mixed feelings: a hope for peace, a yearning for Chinese reunification and an; but also a worry about potential Obsidian domination and intense competition between the two great powers in the future.

The billboards, the walls and the television were bombarded with propaganda from both Great Powers, and quite a sizable crowds rallied themselves outside to celebrate this occasion. In addition, historical pictures and articles showing the cooperation between Obsidian Kongsi and the Nanyang Unity and Revival Association (NURA) in the Malaysian Revival War were also exhibited.

Among the Obsidian elites who attend the meeting are namely, the Empress Goh Yuet-yin herself, the little boy Prince Lim Chee Wah and the third Encik Agus. As for the New Malaysians, the König Lam Chih-kiang himself surfaced along with Chancellor Hassan and General Moritz.

A joint military parade was held at 17:00 to inaugurate the meeting and welcome the arrival of elites from both sides. After giving a series of speeches, they would proceed with the negotiation inside a well-fortified fortress.

In the end, the decades of conflict between the Obsidian Kongsi and NURA was resolved formally with the signing of the Double Lim Pact, formally known as the《Treaty of Non-Aggression Peace Between the Empire of Obsidia and the Kingdom of Malaysia》.

But this was just the tip of the iceberg. There are much more secrets behind the scene unbeknownst to most.

Article I
A. Both High Contracting Parties obligate themselves to desist from any act of violence, any aggressive action, and any attack on each other, either individually or jointly with other Powers.

Reaction from Other Parties

Kuomintang of China

The ratification of the Double Lim Pact has greatly shocked the Kuomintang.

The Kuomintang of China harshly condemned the meeting, deeming it as an collaboration of feudalists and separatists against the Sacred Republic of China. The party also expressed concerns about China's ultimate fate, and the KMT would take steps to defend every last bit of China from further imperialist and feudalist aggresions.

The Kuomintang further condemned the Electorate of Manchuria and the Königreich Nanyang as forgetful and thankless backstabbers for collaborating with the Empire of Obsidia.

The Chairman of the Kuomintang, Wang Kuan-ju, dubbed the Empire of Obsidia and the Königreich Nanyang as the new Axis of Evil. He further voiced the KMT's regret for backing up the wrong faction back in the Malaysian Civil War. The Kuomintang will defend the Sacred Republic of China and the Three Principles of the People to the end.

To better defend itself against possible invasions, the Kuomintang now enforces universal conscription for healthy citizens in their turfs, male and female. In addition, the Kuomintang also enforces martial law while further isolating their country from the outside. The KMT also restored claims to the southern provinces.

Archduchy of Taiwan

Most in the Archduchy of Taiwan however, from the highest Archduchess down to the poorest commoner, were feeling very worried and anxious. Most Taiwanese wants either a unification of China under their dominance, or opt for independence from China.

The Taiwanese don't like to kneel before the Kuomintang and the Communist Party already. They are also reluctant to accept the crazy Pickelhaube-loving wannabes and the fiends of Obsidia as their masters. There's little room for submission and servility towards others aside from allegiance to the Archduchess herself.

But they knew that sooner or later, they would be forced to choose between the two. The better choice would be the Königreich Nanyang, a multicultural paradise widely known for liberalism and "feudalism with Tridemist characteristics".

What the Taiwanese could do is to watch and prepare.

Communist Party of China

The CPC voiced its concern over the future of the so-called "People's Republic of China" with the rise of two great powers in which one of them is straight in front of their gates. The CPC's mouthpieces, namely CCTV and the People's Daily, again praised the CPC even when it's blatantly obvious that the regime is on the verge of collapse, and condemned everyone else as "anti-Chinese".

The communist regime used this as a lame excuse to maintain their shameful reign over the Sikang region a little longer, trying to instill fear into the hearts of the few Chinese under their slavery.

Tibet

The Dalai Lama expressed concerns about the rise of a new unified China. Tibet begins to make more good use of its new coastlines and develop their now temperate lands.

East Turkestan

The already messy Sinkiang was in a state of panic when this happened. Worries about Chinese expansionism and the possible invasion of Sinkiang grew stronger.

2. The Uprising in East Turkestan

Ethnic and religious tensions within East Turkestan has been on the rise ever since the fall of the Ching Dynasty, and was aggravated during six decades of Communist rule. The tensions had alleviated for only a short while after the Sacred Republic reclaimed the area. However, with the fall of the Margraviate of Sinkiang, tensions are once again on the rise.

Eventually, the tensions went out of control and resulted in a bloody civil war. Numerous Uyghur extremists and separatists came out from their houses and commenced their massacres against most victims innocent and guilty. Terrorist bombing attacks happening all over the place in East Turkestan, which sent countless houses and towers on the fire of rage.

When news of East Turkestan's civil war spread to the Königreich Nanyang, König Lam was enraged seeing such injustice, racism and anti-Chinese extremists going rampage and bring upon suffering to people. He was said to be punching his office desk after he heard of the news, and ranted for a few minutes.

He criticized the Uyghur extremists harshly, comparing them to the defunct UMNO and the almost dying Communist Party of China. According to his opinion, the Uyghur extremists are not so different from the UMNO racists and CPC devils, where they love to cause trouble and divide society for their own selfish ends.

Empress Goh has a mixed feeling about this. On one end, she was feeling sorry and sad for her fellow "unevolved" Chinese who were caught in the war. On the other hand, she felt a bit excited because she always wanted to enslave and discipline some "idiots" while also to take more territories for herself.

3. Invasion of Sinkiang
September 28, Year 120 of the Revival Calendar

With exactly a week later after the signing of the Double Lim Pact, the Empire of Obsidia declared war on East Turkestan, with support from the Königreich Nanyang.

It was already late night, but instead of the usual silence it was a horrific nightmare. A large, dense fog of darkness began to cover the whole of Sinkiang. A thunderstorm approached, with bright orange thunderbolts hitting random spots and in turn causing catastrophic explosions. Most rebels suddenly found themselves ablaze and corroding within everlasting shadowy flames. Their legs and groins would then be entangled and squashed tightly by the tentacles of darkness...

The hordes of Obsidian zealots, diabolic machines and creatures thundered their way into Sinkiang. Most of the Uyghur terrorists at first tried to resist in vain, but most of them quickly got enslaved if not being outright annihilated.

Half of the "Unevolved" Chinese, most being Kuomintang sympathizers, didn't feel any safer when the Obsidians invaded. They remained in hiding, within houses, bunkers, warehouses, basements, etc. They don't want to trade East Turkestan with the Empire of Obsidia, what their hearts really yearn for is the Kuomintang. In fact, the devilish armies seems to be much more horrifying than the Uyghurs.

While the other half of the "Unevolved" Chinese gladly welcomed the "Evolved" Obsidian, with some of them volunteered to serve the Empress' will. Not only that, a few of them even worshiped the Succubi, Shadowmancers and Shadowhounds too.

It took the Obsidians only a few MINUTES to crush the Uyghur Uprising and occupy all of Sinkiang. The rebels, frightened wholly into servile pets without any dignity at all, kneel before the Dragon Empress, begging for the mercy and bless while wetting their pants. Even the Commies and the Nationalists couldn't manage that.

The Dragon Empress accepted their surrender. Many Uyghurs are enlisted in the Obsidian Imperial Army. But quite a lot of them are immediately thrown into the Shrines of Bondage and Discipline, to get tormented and brainwashed by vile succubi...​

The Obsidians managed to take a few of these natives down as they are too busy arranging themselves into a formation. The Shadowhounds seemed to enjoy eating those victims really much.

The Obsidian humanoids let out love cries as they enjoy being hit by the purple spells. Although taking slight damage, they had their strength and agility boosted significantly thanks to the purple spells themselves. Remember - they are blessed by the dark,

"Oh, little girl. Do you think you'll prevail?" an Obsidian asked mockingly, "You're nothing but wild subhumans! You guys don't even have your own nation-state! We are superior, you are inferior and you're only fit to be a slave!"
"Accept slavery or be forced into death!"

Obsidian troops cover themselves behind short walls, rocks, etc. and opened fire at Inioshia.
Meanwhile, more Shadowhounds surfaced out from the darkness and begin tearing the rebelling natives apart

Apparently, the Underworld only welcomes countries annexed by the Splinterforce. The organization serves as an alliance with the Splinterforce being the main arms dealer. But because it's also an arms dealer alliance, that it is willing to give support if the price is right.
But, the Königreich is not welcome the fact that it is a superpower with already a high public influence which could lead dispute.

Reaction from the Underworld

The arrival of the Obsidian Empire and the creation of the pact with the Königreich quelled the Underground from stabilizing their positions in Cantonia. Thus dealt slow trade movements between China and India. Calling upon an executive meeting, the Underworld chieftains involved, namely the Director Baryl of the Splinterforce Armed Organization, Prime Minister Vontivich of the NUR, Representative Rehak-lahan of the Underground, and Chief Xei Kang of the CPP. They have to decide sooner or later to open their business with the scattered Asian countries if they are to expand their routes and seek new ones.
Down below were rejected due to their positions in both social and economical standings.

One of the options here was the Königreich itself, but because of its public and dominant strength that it is thrown out.
The Empire of Obsidian was well too powerful and can easily expand. Plus with declined support from the Splinterforce.
The rash calls of the Sacred Republic of China made it harder for them to even negotiate.

There were calls upon these following to which most agreed upon.

The Archduchy of Taiwan

The Archduchy of Taiwan is well located on a strategic location. While it is allied with the SRC, the pact made by the Obsidian Empire and the Königreich very well affected their future actions. And so, in secrecy, Underworld agents seek opportunity in having to negotiate with the Archduchess or her business officials in arms trade.

The Soviet Union and the Communist Parties

Being able to get in in Kazakhstan allowed the Underworld to have ties with people aligned with the remnant communist countries of the Union. Although they're weakened during the catastrophic event, they were still in a well dominant control over the north. And so, Underworld agents tried to negotiate with shady officials tied to the secrecy of the Soviet Union or other communist nations if ever they are interested in business.

The Uyghur Uprising

The Splinterforce was in fact, the one that supported the Uyghur extremists in their revolution. By selling armed support in exchange for information, the extremists are allowed to fight with terror weapons and violence which given by the latter.

But the sudden defeat of the uprising halted the Splinterforce in their operations. The business withdrawed away from the extremists and even from the East Turkestan, knowing that they have already been defeated

The impeccable timing of the escape of the captive Big Boss Right, was last reported by an agent on Beijing, right after the implementation of the martial law by the Sacred Republic. It is said that He "absorbed" a republic offical before fading out of the city.
Intel said that if his movements were traced, it would be that the particular escapee is heading for Mongolia, to where the Empire of Obsidian is based. This was almost impossible to reach because of the latters possession of magic, which the Splinterforce already knew before the Renegades Covenant did.

But there is one particular task force capable of doing everything by a more premier league of action.

A black van managed to get inside the district, and went to the quarters of the main embassy. Awaiting at its gate. If guards inspects the vehicle, there are men in grey suits, hats, and shades. They show a clearance that allows them to speak to one of the admins.

Terra. Somewhere between the borders of Mongolia and China. At the highest alpine summit of the Altai Mountains.
A cloaked figure looks at the expanding empire of Obsidia. When an individual came behind him with blood drops on the snowy ground.

"Well. We meet again..." Right said to the cloaked figure. Approaching closer and at the brink of touching the figure's shoulder. Suddenly Right backed away in an instant, with his left hand vaporized before he could touch the cloak individual's shoulder. "...Rosa." Right grinned before his hand regenerates to normal.
"Stay away, brother." The figure took off its hood that covered its head. Pale blond hair and glasses, it was indeed Rosa. She stared at Right with a sad yet serious face.
"Finally found you, lass." Right replied.
"Why are you here?" Rosa asked with a serious tone.
"The question is, why are you here, hmm?" Right dodged the question.
"I asked you first. Brother."
"My my, what has happened to my sweet sister?" Right continued talking while smirking.
"..."
"Alright. You see, I was rather took captive before I can fetch you. But with a strike of fate, must be, that I'm here... now, my question, your answer."
"How can you ask when you don't know even the situation."
"Indeed I have not. But, why are you dodging my question?" Right sighed as he looked around the mountains' surroundings, he looked back with his head high. "I once remembered, there was this great battle here that took place. Then it ended by a victory on one side. Time passed, and another battle came. Another, another, and another. Even when factors of technology changed, one side wins, one side loses. What they have in common." Right turned his face back to Rosa.

"You should know my task have not changed. I'm to return you."
"Time's change brother. I no longer am apart of the Covenant, nor will the Splinterforce have their hands on me."

"I ask you, please, return to the dark world."

The fancy clothing of the suits did attract the eyeballs of the Taiwanese.
Three official Taiwanese inspectors approached the mysterious men.

"Greetings, welcome to the Archduchy of Taiwan." one inspector greeted politely. Just as he was about to ask something, one of the men showed a legitimate clearance with the logo of the Underworld with a business contract.

"Hmm..."
"Huh? What's this, what is this Underworld? I've never head about it before..."
"Likewise,"
"Anyways, what is this anyway? Are you guys some sort of underground movement?"

"Sure, Pherith might have fallen as a nation, but its spirit remains. You seem familiar, don't you? I guess you must be Crimson."

Right sighed as he looked around the mountains' surroundings, he looked back with his head high.

Without either debater noticing, this pointy-hatted figure came a little closer and hid himself behind some rocks. He then observed the dramatic moment silently.

Apparently Right noticed this as his eyesight switched looking to surroundings. He knew somebody would try eavesdropping. Although, he had no idea it was...

"STOP!!!"

A fireball is shot from the rocks, hitting Right all of a sudden.
The pointy-hatted wizard stepped out from the rocks, "Don't you dare! She's innocent, and she's even your dear sister, you know?"

Right was hit, but the fireball was absorbed by Right's body without him even moving an inch. "That was rather uncouth." He said in a funny disappointed face. He took down his gun and faced the wizard.
The wizard got Rosa's attention too. Although she had not been suprised.

"Sure, Pherith might have fallen as a nation, but its spirit remains. You seem familiar, don't you? I guess you must be Crimson."

When an individual came behind him with blood drops on the snowy ground.

This blood drops rosed into mighty golems formed by rock, snow, and blood. It guards Right thereafter.

"This is not making sense brother." Rosa said to Right, as she prepares. She faced the green wizard, "Cakemaster I suppose, thank you. But I don't need your help." The rune field flashes, teleporting Rosa away.

"Oh damn! Look what you did now!" Right was extremely annoyed at the wizard. "Deroc, if my memory serves. You ought to bring right to your precious nation instead of ruining this 'emotional' moment I was planning. Attack!" At Right's command, numbering to 7 golems, attacked the wizard.

"Blast, the gun was unarmed. Funny." Right talked to himself, then drew writings from his bleeding palm.

"Hyaa!" Kakaocake dashed towards Right and stabbed his bleeding palm, after that Kakaocake would rush away from Right. Saberkuchen flanked Right from his sides, trying to distract him.

Deroc unleashed another frost bolt onto Right's bleeding palm, which would freeze his hand if hit.

This projectiles once hitting the cakes would stale their surfaces, and slowing them. Another bunch also targets Deroc.

"Blood: Dead Mist" A thick red mist surrounds the Altai Mountains suddenly. It might even cause attraction. Right and his golems are allowed to be less visiblr within this fog, that is mixing with the alpine environment.

Deroc's face was suddenly glowing red like been in the oven for hours, but he smiled and even giggled uncontrollably. "Damn you, you meanie!" he said in a rather weak and girly voice.

Right seemed to ignore them even though they're at his back. "Encopy..."
"Huh? Whaaa?!"

"Boom..." The ground they all were standing erupted. It was caused by an explosion below. If the magic was traced, it was the fireball Deroc fired at Right sometime ago. Right's body got vaporized from the blast. So might as well Deroc and his cakes.

Fortunately, Deroc and his two cakes were blinked away just in the nick of time. The trio would then reappear seconds later.

But, Right suddenly appeared a little far away. Without any harm.
"Huh?" Deroc grunted in confusion, "How..."

This time, Deroc opted for defensive tactics. He covered himself and his cakes in arcane shields, covering them against most attacks.

He bleeds his entire body and jumps high, then spins, raining blood showers.
"Aww, shit!"

His golems were empowered, and they engaged the two cakes if ever they are still standing, other they would target Deroc.

"Avoid the fucking menaces! We're on the defensive this time!"
"Got it, Cakemaster!"

The cakes no longer tried to attack the golems, rather they would run around in circles trying to evade the golems.
Somebody else is watching the battle...
The Obsidians are also observing what happened...

A few of them did hit, but due to the shieldings, that didn't do much. Deroc would just continue to conjure more shields, and thicken them if possible.

"Fick dich, Hurensohn! Nobody messes with my friend Kok Yew!"
Seven daggers were tossed out of nowhere, heading at a very fast speed towards Right's chest, with extreme kinetic energy. Extreme air friction also caused the dagger to burn as well. To be precise, three daggers on the left and four daggers on the right (from Right's perspective).

"Huh? Is that you, Chih-kiang?"
"Shhhh! Du Dummkopf!"

INSIDE THE SUNFLOWER PALACE
The Archduchess is a beauteous lady blessed with grace and elegance, with an unusually pale skin and her fine brunette hair reaching over her shoulders. Despite her youthful look and feminine charm, she is still much bigger than most men in Terra. Also, she has some muscles in herself too.

Her zealous bodyguard, on the other hand, was a muscular, tall but thin man. But his muscles couldn't cover up his age. He has a wrinkled face and gray hair with spots of white. This, the others dubbed him as "Uncle Escort", is always seen accompanying the Archduchess.

The throne room has about a dozen of nobles and two dozens of government officials, as well as Elite Troopers arranged in a neat, systematic way.

The Archduchess was seen sitting on a golden throne, crossing her legs leisurely while flirting with her personal bodyguard.
The muscular bodyguard knelt down before her, staring at her shiny eyes and licking her hand like a dog. Some of the other attendants were inspired, while some others were jealous and disgusted.

Suddenly, the door was knocked. The muscular bodyguard quickly backed off and stood straight behind her, through he can't help his eyes. The Archduchess herself also straightened up and put both her hands onto the holders, acting like a cool statue.

"Yes~~?"
"Your Highness," the inspectors finally arrived before the Archduchess, kneeling before her in respect, "A team of negotiators from an underground organization are coming over to conclude a deal. They are now awaiting before the gate,"

"Fine, let them in,"
"As you wish, Archduchess."

The inspectors then invited the negotiators in,
"Greetings Archduchess of Taiwan, ladies and gentlemen of the Archduchy." Awaited the gentlemen from her response. They bowed a little as well.

"Greetings." the Archduchess replied with a bright smile, "What brings you here to my place? You are going to negotiate a deal with the Archduchy, are you not?"

After the shield is shut down, numerous barrage of missiles were deployed into the target, vaporizing any Kongis and allied foes in its area.
Afterwards, large troops and numerous military vehicles appeared in the field, marching towards the base.

Fleet of aircrafts appeared in the field, aiding both forces. One of the aircraft dropped a cargo supply onto the Regenade Covenant's force to give them advanced weapons and equipments.

"Target is open. I want all turrets and defenses to be terminated at all cost!", MGS-D1 responded.

All tanks and turret-equipped vehicles continued to fire at Kongsi's defenses while moving forward. The infantries, stay behind the tanks to provide cover and PRDTORs, on the other hand, aggressively charges towards its targets.

Not really long but atleast I'm back.

The Phantoms also made their advance. More and more cities falling under Phantom dominance. However, the Phantoms weren't exactly friendly with the Devourers and the natives either. Any enemy caught on sight would be either mind controlled or eliminated.

Apparently, no Devourers were deployed, yet, on the insides of the Obsidian lands.

And now, the Phantoms launched a minor skirmish against the Renegade's Covenant. About three dozens of conventional tanks, two dozens of weird contraptions and several circuses of weirdos were unleashed onto their southeastern borders.
Tagged along were also a bunch of drill contraptions that came out of the ground.

A few of the Devourers would also get shot by venomous bullets from afar. Sources unknown yet.

Because of the withdrawal order, there were no Devourers on the outer territories, strange enough.

Bad Weather

After the shield is shut down, numerous barrage of missiles were deployed into the target, vaporizing any Kongis and allied foes in its area.

The Obsidians weren't really allies with the E.A., they are actually enemies. So they won't be marching side-by-side for the Renegade's Covenant together...

Strangely enough, a large number of Phantoms were coming together with the E.A. forces marching into the Renegade's Covenant turfs.

Afterwards, large troops and numerous military vehicles appeared in the field, marching towards the base.
The Obsidians answered by sending agile and stealthy Terror Drones to the Black-Knight Corps, which would infect enemy units and rib them apart. The Terror Drones are difficult to be removed once they infect their victims, also they could jump and swim unlike the Soviet variant.

Especially for cyborg infantries where they had to be blasted other cyborgs in order to remove the Terror Drones. Even if they didn't, the Terror Drones will hop into other cyborgs once they're done with the previous target.

Fleet of aircrafts appeared in the field, aiding both forces. One of the aircraft dropped a cargo supply onto the Regenade Covenant's force to give them advanced weapons and equipments.

The Phantoms rushed to the cargo supply as fast as they could, to snatch the advanced equipments for their own ends. They already had their fast Stingers on the way.

(@Lasersquid112) A battalion of E.A. troops were also dispatched under the orders of Uri, in order to further help the Phantoms to acquire advanced equipments from the Black-Knight Corps.

All tanks and turret-equipped vehicles continued to fire at Kongsi's defenses while moving forward.

By failing to acknowledge the Terror Drones, the drones had already infected quite a large number of vehicles and cyborgs, ripping them apart from the insides.

The infantries, stay behind the tanks to provide cover and PRDTORs, on the other hand, aggressively charges towards its targets.

The Obsidians could've defended their turfs much easily, had it not been the PRDTOR mechs. The bulk of the Obsidian forces were forced to deal with the PRDTORs' legs before getting their armies crushed. Sure, it exposed them to other cyborgs, but this option is the lesser devil.

A giantess was now standing behind the Altai Mountains, being immersed in the darkness.

Right sighed hidden in the mist. "You sure we wanna continue this. The bitch is as irritating as you if I remember." Spoken Right's voice. "Oh boy, I think this ground is hard."

Whoops, apparently, these guys didn't notice their drills.

And now, the Phantoms launched a minor skirmish against the Renegade's Covenant. About three dozens of conventional tanks, two dozens of weird contraptions and several circuses of weirdos were unleashed onto their southeastern borders.
Tagged along were also a bunch of drill contraptions that came out of the ground.

These drills, after getting within the Phantom's armies, suddenly suprised them by showering them bullets that can tear through their thick armors.
After that, the drills suddenly exploded into a very bright blue flash that blows and erased the shades of darkness. Including those Phantoms near and even affected the ones afar. It even can blind them.

This was the signal. Mines jumped out of the ground, where the Phantom troops and contraptions are standing. It exploded while they were blinded.
"Alright, let all hell loose!" The camouflaged Devourers appeared from high strategic locations, their howitzers armed with Spectrum technology, which can pierce both ghost and material forms, fired at them. The Devourers can see through the blinding light due to their Spectrum Optics. The enemy, for walking into their turfs further, fell to the trap.

Renegade artillery bombards the Phantoms. They did not participate on direct attack instead fires from afar.

****Meanwhile, the Obsidian lands****

It was a good thing their emergency shields were activated. Otherwise;

Out from the dark clouds, the same orange flares fell to Obsidian main bases and base camps, creating blazing firestorms and explosions. Most likely when seen afar, you can see fireworks.
This also hit the Harkdragon Citadel, luckily, the shields are activated. But that doesn't mean it cannot hit pathways. The fire spreads quickly creating turmoil for the Obsidians.

This did not end here, numerous Scorpions burrowed out of the ground on numerous keypoints inside the lands. Not on the targeted rain of fire areas. This were not the ordinary Mobile Scorpion, but the Juggernaut Howitzers. These modified Scorpions, escorted by their cousin combat Scorpions, fired shells of napalm from their hands and stingers. They also activated their Sandshields, that protected them from parasites that could enter their machines. There were also infantries, but all of them are riding with their vehicles.

Target cities and encampments that surrounded the Harkdragon Citadel were rained by volleys of artillery fire by the Scorpions, plus the orange flares from the sky.

Tagging along in the Field Army were: 1,000 Howitzers, 8,000 Tanks, 9,000 Aircraft, hundreds of MLRS systems, and at least 60,000 mechanized suits. They specialized in disabling and destroying mechanized enemies.

With the part of the deal arrive, drill vehicles (that looks alot like Phantom ones) came out of the ground and collected the supplies.

The Phantoms were totally unprepared for such a nasty attack, They couldn't even managed to make a microexpression on time, and whoops! There went the Phantoms!

The Phantom armies were stunned as a result - even the greatest psychic Deowrig himself was greatly surprised. Aside from the Initiates, the Shadowmancers and the Psychicmancers; all of the other Phantom attackers were rendered blind. Of course, the explosions would still hurt badly and even managed to disrupt their psychic minds.

"Alright, let all hell loose!" Aside from a few key chokepoints, populous cities and production centers, most of the Obsidian turfs on Alastorn were caught in the fireworks and got heavily devastated.

This also hit the Harkdragon Citadel, luckily, the shields are activated. But that doesn't mean it cannot hit pathways. The fire spreads quickly creating turmoil for the Obsidians. The Obsidians were caught in a state of chaos and confusion, this did also provoke more natives to rise up and revolt against their former dominatrices.

A huge number of the Obsidians were getting crushed and toasted by these fireworks, and supply lines to the frontline were heavily disturbed. These key locations, although evaded the initial bombardment, were cut off could hardly survive in the long term without supplies.

"What?!" Lady Mererinda exclaimed in utter horror and rage, "How could those cursed Muttonheads do this to me?!"
"Calm down, Mistress. We should focus on the def--"

The Obsidians tried to send Terror Drones to finish off the Juggernaut Howitzers, but nevertheless failed all thanks to the Sandshields. These Terror Drones now switched targets to other vulnerable Devourers.

Squadrons of Fleenzub Fighters and swarms of Nether Dragons were released. These air monstrosities quickly flew their way to the Juggernaut Howitzers, of course dodging any of their powerful fireworks on the way. After reaching the Juggernaut Howitzers, they would proceed razing these monsters to ashes.

Tentacles of shadows were extended from the fingers of the Empress Giantess, reaching for the Dead Mist and dissolving the mist. Exposing Right before the Giantess. (I hope you don't mind about this )

Amused, Empress Goh showed a wicked grin on her seductive face as she saw Right's ugly face full of fear.

The entire ground was suddenly covered by darkness, with thick, always-regenerating tentacles of shadows rising from this dark earth. Some of these tentacles rose surrounding and encircling Right, which would then entangle and grip him really tightly (like a super tank crushing a dozen of cars).

These tentacles are also burning in shadowy flames, which might be replicated by Blood "tactics" but won't be so effective against the tentacles themselves. In fact, chances are these replicated darkness would even HEAL the tentacles.

With Right being entangled and gripped, he's now stuck and trapped haplessly before Empress Goh the Giantess.

"You're right, oh my little mischievous brat~~"
"Now, your pitiful life has come to an end! Taste the wrath of the Supreme Empress!!!"

All of the other tentacles, from the earth and from her fingers, but save for those who entangle Right. Would then extend themselves and stab his chest real hard like a burning whip... Furthermore, Empress Goh would lift one of her gigantic foot up and stomped the helpless Right with an almost irresistible force, which might crush his heart completely in the process and possibly ending his miserable life.

"Enemy airforce!" The Devourers have less way to counter air attacks, the Scorpions are outfitted with artillery and ground arms. Making them vulnerable to air.

The Scorpions and Juggernauts have to burrow in order to avoid aerial strikes. Allowing a stop to artillery fire for now.

The Obsidians answered by sending agile and stealthy Terror Drones to the Black-Knight Corps, which would infect enemy units and rib them apart. The Terror Drones are difficult to be removed once they infect their victims, also they could jump and swim unlike the Soviet variant.
"Initiate anti-drones protocol. Target set to central field for greater effect.", the operator responded.
"Dropping in 3, 2, 1, Drop."

An EMP bomb dropped onto its target area. It's explosion causes a large EMP wave around the battlefield, disrupting the drones. Repair Drones were ejected from the fleet of aircrafts, repairing damaged tanks and machines while on combat.

Both west and east side of the target base, there's a group of mobile launchers in each sides, guarded by heavy troops.
These launchers began firing to the base continousely, making a devastating destruction to both defenses and armys.

Fleet of aircrafts were bombarding the defenses, providing cover for the forces. Because of the fleet's doing, the PRDTORs would able to last longer since most of the defenses were halted.

An EMP bomb dropped onto its target area. It's explosion causes a large EMP wave around the battlefield, disrupting the drones and hostile electronic gadgets.

The EMP did put quite a large number of Terror Drones and other war vehicles of the Obsidians into a slow movement, some even getting paralyzed, though some of their weapons could still fire (e.g. drive-by, manual turrets).

Through the Terror Drones did remain stuck within the cyborg infantries and machines.

Repair Drones were ejected from the fleet of aircrafts, repairing damaged tanks and machines while on combat.
Very effective against the Terror Drones still in the BKC machines!

Both west and east side of the target base, there's a group of mobile launchers in each sides, guarded by heavy troops.
These launchers began firing to the base continousely, making a devastating destruction to both defenses and armys.

Fleet of aircrafts were bombarding the defenses, providing cover for the forces. Because of the fleet's doing, the PRDTORs would able to last longer since most of the defenses were halted.

"What?!" Mererinda exclaimed in horror as she witnessed the Obsidian defensive lines falling apart and retreat, with tons of Obsidians being slaughtered in the way.

"No time to waste, send a few Fleenzub Bombers, we're gonna destroy the swarm of cyborgs! Especially their damn artilleries!"

However, if you're talking about the Obsidian front, then I may describe it with more details tomorrow after I'm back from school. Now, I just wanna focus writing on my self-roleplay before going to sleep.
I didn't really think about Uri sending E.A. forces to settle the chaos in Obsidian lands, but now you gave me an idea. Thank you, now I'm gonna let Uri send a few more E.A. forces to fight against all other sides.

The front was a lot of mess, most of them being flat plains on fire due to continuous firework bombardments. Should you advance deeper into Obsidian territory, there would be mountain ranges and walls which could be the Obsidian's advantage.

The guards manually controlled few of the mobile launchers to fire a barrage of missiles towards the bombers, protecting the active launchers. The active tanks were destroying more defenses thanks to the Repair Drones to push forward.

Meanwhile, the Obsidians attempted to distract the cyborgs by attacking one of their major bases.
The Obsidians failed to acknowledged that they were very different from its superior Mechs. They were annihilated immediately afterwards, though they're wondering why they were attacked.

The fleet flew towards the base, dropping infantries and light tanks within the Obsidian's active defensive line. They were going to penetrate the defenses to bring the army within the defensive line.

Continuous attacks occured by the Black-Knights on the west and south territory of the Obsidians.

Meanwhile, the Scorpions have burrowed out once more from the ground. They appear this time from south. And this time, the Scorpions and Juggernauts are accompanied by Vulcan Drills. Modified APC Drills that were stolen technology from the Phantoms, and these are armed with a Vulcan railgun capable of shooting down aircrafts.
The Juggernauts returned to their long-ranged artillery fire, supporting the Black-Knights by bombarding Obsidian rearlines. Escorted as well by standard Mobile Scorpions and Vulcan Drills. Of course, these vehicles have active Sandshields.

A recon squad consisting of (3) three Drill APCs reached the Obsidian outskirts of their mountains. The Devourers are highly alert and started shooting the mountain covers and corners, and used smoke grenades that releases red smoke, the one similar to the red mist, but at smaller scale.

Another volley of orange flares are raining from the sky again. They are numerous this time on the mountain and the insides of the Obsidian mountain ranges.

Due to the slower speed of the Bombers, they couldn't dodge the missiles on time. Even if they had thicker armor, the missiles still proved to be really deadly.

Half of them crashed onto the active launchers, blowing them up like fireworks and annihilating nearby ground units. A quarter of the total Bombers hit the manually-controlled mobile launchers, destroying them as well. While the rest of the Bombers crashed onto the armies of cyborgs, blasting a ton of the cyborgs down to ashes.

The active tanks were destroying more defenses thanks to the Repair Drones to push forward.

The earth was shaking a little, as heavy engines sounds could be heard not far away..."Chantico's champions, ready to serve!"

Slowly but surely, a group of monstrous heavy tanks were driving their way towards the smaller cyborg tanks.

"The apocalypse has begun."
Suddenly, the Repair Drones are shattered into molten pieces by magma shells. These assault tanks of the Obsidians are getting closer...

And a row of obsidian rocks rose out from the lands and extended towards the direction of cyborg units, pushing

The Announcer once again burst out her wicked laughter to the world.

"Superb, milady! We have turned the tides against the fools! Let them tremble and kneel before the war in a can!"
"This is what they get for messing with the Great Empire! More horrors are awaiting them, by the way."

The above two quotes were broadcasted to everyone present on the battlefield, in order to intimidate and shock them.

How the Tanks Look Like -- Just Remember to Replace the Olive with Black; and the Red with Orange

Possessing a pair of powerful cannons and further empowered by magma, these imposing war machines would easily smash and melt the cyborgs' petty little machines with only a single volley of magma. To make things much painful, these monsters have their thick skins made of mithril and obsidian, which would make them very resistant to most enemy attacks. In addition, these Chantico Tanks also features a pair of Phoenix missile launchers, which are super effective against infantries and heavy aircrafts!

Oh, and, these babies are very resistant to fire.

9. The Second Great Crusade against Communism

Out of concerns regarding communist expansion as well as desires to meet their own ends, both the Empire of Obsidia on Terra and the Nanyang-led Indochinese Confederation declared war against the Soviet Union and the UMPCR.

The Kuomintang of China has also proclaimed the Second Great Crusade against Communism, which was received with positive support from the Chinese people. The various Chinese states has once again been united under the banner of the Sacred Republic of China. They are all to fight against their common enemy -- Communism.

Jiang Zemin's remaining turfs in Sikang Province came under heavy attacks from three sides, namely the central Kuomintang government, the Königreich Nanyang and Tibet. The Chinese people encaged within Sikang has rose up against the toad and his fellow bandits, all of a sudden in large numbers...

During the crusade, the Empire of Obsidia and the Indochinese Confederation has oddly enough, allowed the Kuomintang expedition armies to pass through their turfs safely without harm. And vice versa. None of them threatened each other for their selfish ambitions throughout the Crusade, a rare sight to behold for the Chinese people.

In addition, the Empire of Obsidia on Terra has been admitted into the Sacred Republic of China, taking the place of the defunct Margraviate of Sinkiang and Mongolian Area.

Meanwhile, the Margraviate of Cantonia, being a part of the Königreich Nanyang, is also re-admitted into the Sacred Republic with its Electorate privileges restored.

This has made the Shadowhound much more angry. In fact, it's so angry that it's ablaze in fire! Shadow fire, that is,
which would not hurt the Shadowhound but rather benefit it somewhat.

Still, the only real threat from the Shadowhound is its furious flame of rage, which might burn and melt the British stone skin.

Meanwhile, the Scorpions have burrowed out once more from the ground. They appear this time from south. And this time, the Scorpions and Juggernauts are accompanied by Vulcan Drills. All of a sudden, the grounds where the Juggernauts and other Devourer escorts were standing trembled violently. The earth began to crack deeply, while at the same time rock spikes rose up from the soils, impaling the Renegades and possibly smashing their machines effectively.

The minor quake stopped, but a shockwave immediately followed. The shockwave headed towards the Renegade forces in great velocity and speed, which if hit is also likely to smash them into scrap metals.

Yes, the Chantico Tanks and the Geomancers. They are capable of withstanding these intense flame of the Devourers without much punishment, they just continued to make their advance. Through the lack of fuel and support might be how annoying to these folks as well as, of course, Mererinda.

"Gaahh!!" "Ayiee!" "Waaa!!" Numerous Scorpions and Juggernauts were destroyed as a result.

The minor quake stopped, but a shockwave immediately followed. The shockwave headed towards the Renegade forces in great velocity and speed, which if hit is also likely to smash them into scrap metals.

Unfortunately, the Scorpions were able to jump and evade due to the quake that alerted them. But the Drills were hit hard because of their inability to jump.

Once the Scorpions landed from their jump, they quickly burrowed along with the rest of the regiments.

It seems the Renegades burrowed after the initial show off of the Chantico Tanks and the abilities of the Geomancers.
With several minutes passed, the orange flares stopped dropping.

Numerous containers are unloaded. They contain boxes of firearms and heavy armaments.

Wang Kuan-ju was currently giving a speech in front of the masses, where he would assemble all of the Sacred Republic of China to fight in the Second Great Crusade against Communism. Now, he's an easy target for assassination.

"Bloody hell... public speeches are as boring as briefings..." said a man. He is at the top of a tall building, overlooking the place where the figure Wang Kuan-ju is speaking. The man wears a Kuomintang uniform, and a military-camou straw hat.
"All it takes, is the will of one man they say. Pull the trigger, Dante."
