EDIT: Title should say "Restoring Black Mask"
I have a problem with my map, I just recently discovered that you can check an option under Advanced Options - Visibility: Map Explored, which causes that map to have been fully explored before launching the map.

My question is is there anyway to counter this option to restore the black fog on the minimap?
I have tried triggers:
But they don't work.

  • Intro
    • Events
      • Time - Elapsed game time is 0.00 seconds
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Visibility - Enable black mask
      • Visibility - Enable fog of war

If I recall correctly, you cannot put any mask or fog when map exploration is ticked. You should use regions and triggers for it. Use trigger action to enable visibility for player across region, set it to a variable. When you wish to enable back mask there, you must turn off that latest created visibility variable and then enable mask on it, if both activated, ii may cause confusion and most likely mask would not appear.
