Recording/Editing Programs

I need some sort of recording program, so I can record some material from WoW etc and I need simple but also efficient video editing program too.

Any suggestions?
Doesn't matter if it costs or is free.

FRAPS is good.

I have Sony Vegas. I have some issues with it, but it works. One really simple thing it can't do is do freeze frames, which infuriates me to no end.

Yeah you know, I don't like installing random crap on my M17 and the good thing for Fraps is it can work unzipped But I'd say this is the only program that really records any game you start like even emulators, not to say WoW or War3.

WE Game WeGame, a free Fraps alternative - Record Games, Capture Games, Game Record, and much more! Looks very cool, I soo liked the look of it but it can only record if you're connected to the Internet... I'm sure it cannot record e.g mugen or other emulators and games Not on the list but it may be cool, there is your WoW. That online thing pissed me off so I never learnt what WEgame is like.
