The Ramming Galley.
Light and agile, these ships are built for speed rather than protection. Their crewmen use the large rams installed on their hood to break through the enemy ship's hull, breaking it apart piece by piece until the enemy ship is nothing but a wreck, or it sinks from the water flowing on-board. Each ship has a total of three human oarsmen, operating the ship in the lower deck, a pair of crew members who operate the heavy ram, releasing the ropes to hit and then pulling it back again and a captain who doubles as the navigator, controlling the ship from the tent. The ship can be outfitted with heavier armor and armament, slowing down the ship but greatly improving it's chances to withstand enemy fire and smash through hulls with it's reinforced ram.

Use the "Alternate" tags to use the upgraded version.

23:07, 3rd Apr 2011 DonDustin: wonderful ship model. I really like it. Would be great if you'd also create a big, badass Battleship version of it :)

The portrait is inside the main model, and to use the "reinforced\upgraded\improved" version, simply edit the "Required Tags" in the World Editor's Object Editor to "Alternate".

Warcraft does not explore much marine units. So it's always good when we find a good model.

Obvious troll is obvious, you trying to start up an argument? This isn't the site for that -.-

Nice model, OP, 2 in the form of one, I like! Suitable for more than just Warcraft, too, reminds me of Age of Empires/Mythology and such other titles.

    Drakkar.
    The Greek one is Pentekonter.
The Egyptian one is Ramming Galley, and it just sounds a lot more generic.

The alternate animations are pretty great, I mean you can use it and as separate unit, and as some kind of "defencive mode"...

This model is great! I haven't seen many like this on war3 before, and this will surely be a useful addition to many maps, such as mine!
