He has a firewall probably. If it's external google how to fix, I never figured out how. If it's internal like Norton, then just open the proper ports.
 
I suggest use AVG then Norton... "Norton" is the worest possible protection.

Plus only host on battle.net if you have a good upload Speed i suggest more then 4mb. Because i really get sick off 56kb modem/router people hosting...

Just tell him to type his "ip" address into his Explore and type in his password. (its mainly your ip if u havent changed it) and then just open allow ports for 6114
