And the most recent ones that were taken about 20 minutes since the time I posted this. A random horse that randomly appeared in front of my house without any people and randomly started grazing on the grass in front of my house. :X It was even closer, but when I came to take a photo it teleported magically a little farther away to my neighbors' house. And the next time I looked it was gone.

Rules are meant to be broken.

Try putting your hand over part of the photo, the rule of thirds doesn't look better in this photo in my opinion. If anything I should crop the left a bit to keep the sun and tree in the center.

I kinda see what you mean now. However, I think the reason this works is because the sun is behind a tree, making the focal point scattered around the entire photo, filling the focal points. If the sun were visible, it would belong in the corner. Or if the rays were all coming from one angle. When I saw it I sorta just imagined that if I moved it, it would be visible.
It is a beautiful shot. You have a pretty nice camera to get that crispness.
