Path of the Damned Revamp

This campaign features the all the original missions as well as a newly added mission taking place as the new mission 3. The main focus of this revamp is to fundamentally change how the undead function as a race via introducing a more impactful Raise Dead. Every unit raised will now be a new unique unit based off of what you killed, albeit with weaker stats. These units are permanent but will not last long against their stronger living counterparts and as such you will constantly need to keep moving forward to crush your foes under a wall of literal bodies. While your necromancers start out with only the ability to raise feeble zombies from corpses, your power will grow as you conquer more and grow your Scourge.

The next important addition is a strategic layer consisting of both picking Arthas Menethil's abilities at the start of every mission and purchasing upgrades for your units to improve their capabilities. The campaign features 3 Difficulty levels each with their own specific achievement attached so that you may prove your mastery of the missions but the main focus is fun for the player over difficulty so players of any skill level can enjoy! Every map features improved atmosphere and terraining but attempts to stay recognizable as the original Path of the Damned Missions.

Requires the latest Warcraft 3 Patch -> 1.32.10.17380 with Classic Graphics!

Riderless Horses run into houses!? Weird that in chapter 2 you start with 3 dead heroes. They should be created after you get them. Diodor the Damned has hero glow but is a normal unit. Arthas should be the first hero for ease of access through F1...
Someone told me that your campaigns had increased hero level cap, and DotA-like item recipes in addition to more abilities, but I couldn't read them from the page description. Is this true?
In this particular campaign only Arthas has an increased level cap but he also doesn't gain abilities normally (you pick them at the start of each mission). There's only one instance of an item being turned into another item and its a secret on one map, I'm fairly certain there's not dota-like item recipes.

is there anyway to play this on the newest patch?
As long as your Warcraft III client is downloaded through Battle.net application, which is obviously 1.32 onwards, you have 99% no problem with the map.
"Reforged" itself is basically the new graphics and contents that are only available for those who purchased Reforged.
If you have ONLY Reign of Chaos key, you'll get the latest patch for playing on Battle.net, but no new graphics and contents.
You can test to see if it works.

My issue is that the map downloads as a zip folder and idk what to do with that

You need to extract the zip first using WinRAR/7-Zip.
After that, you should see a folder like this:

Now, you have to place the folder into "C:\Users\[yourname]\Documents\Warcraft III\Maps". The map is now playable.
I don't know why the author didn't updated this map bundle since the latest one was 2 years ago, while the custom campaign feature is now playable on the latest patch.

revamp just work!
undead revamped in this version simply fulfill my itch where undead doing undead things!
Arthas and some other heroes and units able to raise dead in many versions and they're balanced for my taste.
the points at start for choosing some bonuses is chef kiss, had to redo some missions just to get these points, they're very useful for brutal difficulty.

in mission 9 Arthas ability to summon his captains bugged, he summoned unclickable void.
well i just pick other ability since almost all previous mission i always picked it.
added cutscenes are good and fit the lore.
lastly im sorry i have to say this cause i have played rereforged, different terrain or a bit expanded map will be good, but if i say as a player who havent play rereforged, it is perfect therefore i give 5/5.
Thank you and Im looking forward to play more of your revamp!

In Mission 2, after loading a quicksave, I noticed the Paladin and some other models in the first base were missing. How can I fix this?
You are playing on the latest patch, right? That was one of the issues I'm aware since Blizzard may or may not probably fix it soon.
This campaign was made on 1.32.10, which was the patch when the last update of this campaign came out.

Feedback: Path of the Damned Revamp

Game Version: Warcraft III: Reforged (2.0)
Map Version: Updated Mar 30, 2022

The campaign was fantastic, just like the previous ones.
The original missions have been preserved, and a new chapter, Chapter Three: As Above, So Below, has been added — which fits well and adds more content to enjoy. The bonus campaign at the end is exciting and makes me look forward to future installments in the series. I am eager to play the other parts of this series.

I noticed that the maps cannot be accessed directly from the Campaign section in Reforged, probably because custom campaigns weren’t supported in this version before. A change to allow launching them from the campaign menu would be a nice improvement.

However, some elements affected the overall experience:
  • The campaign does not use Reforged models, so the visuals feel a bit dated.
  • Additional dialogues are silent since no extra voice acting was added.
Rating:
  • Story & Lore: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Gameplay: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Visuals & Design: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Audio & Voice Acting: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Creativity & Originality: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Technical Performance: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Replayability: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)

The campaign implements a very nice concept of how the Scourge works. Hope the author will be able to start cooperating with InsaneMonster to make even more cooler experience versions of the original campaigns.
