Paired Mapping Contest 6

I haven't see these contests in a long time, and I'd really like to try them out with my partner.

My ideas:
Elemental World (Adventure game about elements, fire, water, ice, rock, etc)
Game zone (Creating an actual already made old game in WC3 such as tetris)
Christmas Adventure (An Adventure related to Christmas)
Magic Forest (Adventure thru the forest, where the hero is being stop by many traps, tricks, dialogs and etc)

-The map should be 128x128 size or lower.
-May not extend over 3MB
-Custom imports allowed only from Hive and Wc3Cnet.
-Only 2 people
-WIP needed to be proven that the map is actually yours
-Judging the:

1. How much you've followed the Theme
2. Overall Playability
3. Triggers/Jass/Vjass
4. Terrain

I would suggest a cinematic or a mini-game. Or actually anything that isn't too big so we'll have enough of entries.

Well, the map limit size already keeps people from making big stuff.
128x128x or smaller.
Under 3MB or even 2MB.

A cinematic won't do because this is suppose to be a playable map, not a watching map! Sure you can add some cut scene here and there but the map should be more playable.

I personally wouldn't mind cinematic, but I just saw a dead topic about that, so I don't think a lot of people will be very enthusiastic about that. I agree that a paired mapping contest should be made again. Something simple, so a lot of people can test it and a lot of people can participate.

I'd really like to see the Christmas theme, short and simple.

Yea, it would probably fit very nicely. You best make the standard a simple map, but people can expand in detail if they feel very creative (or bored lol).

Theres a santa model in the model section, so people can go crazy in a xmas minigame.

I'm not sure if we should add boundaries to the Christmas theme (like, only adventure for example) or let people create anything that's releated to Christmas (Which includes every type of map gender such as mini games, survival, rpg, runaway and etc)

An ultra short christmas contest would be sweet. Like a minigame based around christmas. I'd enter such competition, if it had a limit of say 3-4 days.

Hehe, so you can get another paired mapping contest icon eh? Nice collection you have there. Well not 3-4 days, more like 10 days.

Edit: But that'd be alright too. Anything really. Just something sort-of quick with a christmas theme would be cool.

The Christmas theme sort of forces you to make a mini-game, however. You can't make a Christmas RPG, RTS, etc.

I disagree. With the theme christmas, you'll still be able to make any type of game you want. And yes, RPGs and RTSs have just as much chance of being made as mini-games. It's just a theme, not a creativity limit.

Yea, just put the Father Christmas as the end boss and it's fine.
