Odd graphical shadow bug

It happens more when lightning is used or any effect that alters shading.

The dark shading will rapidly appear and disappear.

I'm not intricately familiar with the day/night schedule and such, but could it be that it goes from dawn to day?

You've yet to answer my question, so I can't really assume what it is. Besides, it's not exactly a prominent bug.. took a while until I realized what shadow you were talking about, 'cause I've never seen such a shadow on buildings before.

Sorry, no it's not exclusive to the dusk/dawn system, it happens when any spell uses an effect that has a light effect - chain lightning, etc.

I think this came with one of the patches, or that's when it started happening for me too. It's some upgrade to blizzard made to the engine, unless i'm entirely mistaken in which case just ignore me completely

Happens with shadows on buildings too, in world editor, when you remove a building sometimes the shadow stays on the ground.

So perhaps some progress in solving my issues. I was running a lan game with three AI's on while tabbed browsing the internet, I also had WE open to my map. I received a fatal error and WC crashed, a second later my WE turned to this. Everything else on my computer is fine, only WE was affected.

You're not solving anything, you're finding more. As for why it crashed, I don't know.. but WC3 has been crashing after each and every game since the major patch, 1.24 or whatever it was.

I run the lattest version of WC3 on my 275GTX with WE in background and aero on without any such graphical errors.

Your PCs problem, most people do not get these errors. I however do get WC3 freezing at game end occasionally due to being kicked to main menue but no buttons are activated (alt + F4 is only fix).

Same thing happens on 3 different computers, each running different OS versions and different hardware. Neither are they installed from the same disc. I've been getting Fatal Errors since the Warden came online, as well as being disconnected from BNet after games (if I don't crash).
