Occasional Slow Connection when Surfing Hive Workshop

Most of the time, surfing the Hive is not a problem at all and it's fast.

While at some rare occasions (recently), Hive Workshop pages take an eternity to load properly. Other websites just work fine and fast. Why does this happen to me?

Is it due to my geographic location? I'm always surfing this website in Malaysia.

Addendum: Normally my ping is about 250 ms, but now it's going to slightly above 300 ms...

That's the same issue http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/site-discussion-97/forum-index-hangs-minute-hour-276583/. Weird?. I don't think the problem is the living location but something wrong with THW itself, unlike the Hive 2.

It just happens suddenly at random. Mostly, the pages affected are threads, social groups and resource pages.

Just to confirm you mean your ping with HiveWorkshop servers right? If not you can use tracert to find it.

It can be something as stupid as one of the backbone nodes you use to connect to the server is overloaded. This seems to happen quite a bit with Asia->Europe or Asia->US.

Its bugging again! I believe the reason is caused by the daily updates (E.g: Anitivirus), I've noticed that while I was using my android it's caused due to the DX toolbox updates.

Yep, its quite odd. Even more so, as if you attempt to use another browser while the problem is occurring, the same thing will happen there.

It can't be, as I have seen it happen at random moments, pending on when I first enter the site, during that day. Still it looked like at least today it didn't happen. But I'll give it some more testing before I can see if it works.

Apparently this happens for only few minutes from your first log on, then it disappear?
I noticed that too many times, I doubt its caused by whetever corrupted or inactive accounts here on the site.

Yea, I am not quite certain as to why. It sadly still occurs, but as mentioned only the first time you login. Or if some fair length of time has passed since last entering the site. Of one keeps the tab open, while doing something else and returns hours later it doesn't do it. But if the tab is closed and several hours have passed, it tends to do it again.

I just migrated from Firefox to chrome, Now it's seems to be a steady run from this Domain ^^ It is a Firefox issue.

Same here. Sometimes the Hive supposedly hinders other tabs to load or slows down loading.

I have not gotten to it yet. I believe it might block people from logging in after too many attempts. Is this what you're seeing?

No. The logging works fine, I don't know if this happening to me only but apparently that does happen at the same time as Hive 1 does.

For me the issue is gone as of now - I'll update in case it returns. Maybe the server move fixed something? EDIT: Okay, it is slightly still there - My sudden lack of it last, might have been because I had just been on another network.

Guys, try changing to another DNS server. Sometimes they can be quite slow. It also explains why all pages suddenly start loading at once.

Would recommend google's : 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
