Thats what I was thinking, the parasite sometimes mutates itself beneficially and very rarely it outgrows its host and a PARASITE LARVA emerges. the boss should be the ADULT PARASITE. (Huge nasty powerful etc.)

i think the map is a country or somewhere and some scientist experiment a somechemical one of the scientist infect that chemical and it will become a terrable virus that hard to stop and some marines call for help to take the cure and rescue.

Darkone, how about that the guy was a genetisist and HE created the parasites. (same as virus but cooler) And the marines are special units sent in to contain the spread of the parasite by killing off the scientist who is now this massive mutated mass that is producing theses parasites. In the end he will become a boss and attack them. sometime later in the game before you kill the boss you loose contact with intelligence and one of the remaining guys on the com starts reporting strange stuff: "bill just went on his coffe break tow hours ago and he hanst come back!" ect. then you loose him after you kill the boss.
as for quests,who's to say that everyone is dead? maybe an outpost or safe house is still out there,maybe the head scientist dude isn't dead and he needs to be put down so that the world will be safe...and maybe the scientist infects himself with a stronger form of more....mature parasite. And of course they need to get out of there,since they lost contact with there intelligence they need to get out themselves
P.S very cool dead fish...and the flaming buildings a nice touch too
I could throw in some instructional, ranking system, save/load system, and credits quests.
But only when you guys stop working on it for a while. Let's say I added all the presentation to the terrain map and then you guys post the almost completed map (no presentation). I'd have to do it over on the almost completed map. So that wouldn't make sense...

Year 2085. With ozone layer completely destoryed, many people have died. Other surived in cities, protected by special glass domes, that absorb the Sun's ultra-violet radiation. However, it appeared that scientists never knew the whole truth about ultra-violet rays. People that died from ultra-violet began to rise as walking dead, driven by a single wish - to become whole again. Sadly, to cure the 'undeath', there is only one remedy - fresh human flesh... What is worse, each zombie needs ALOT of human flesh...

Sorry darkone015, but i don't like it... its too unbeliveable.
Part of the fun of making the map is the story and i think that we should make the story together. the story trillium made is sorta' cheezy, ultra violet rays turning people undead? Cure is human flesh? People have died from sunstroke before in low-ozone areas, and they did not become undead... Sorry but I just don't like the story.

Story Concept
The year is 2085 the world is a decade into world W III pinpoint bomber targeting at the beginning of the war has decimated most of the nuclear missile supplies. although their power diminished the nations still fought, at a small bio-engineering facility in a small port town studdent'y had a breakthough in a mind-enhancement simbyote the 'Parasite' would enter the humans skull and attach itself to the brain: increasing brain capcity and therefore the effectiveness of infantrymen and commanders. that knight his assistant forgot to activeate the sealant on the tank that held them...
then next morning the scientist came in and a parasite entered his brain, but because of the effects of nearby high-magnetic ystems their genome had been altered and the now took control of their host, because of lack of knowlage about human anatomy the bodies quicky began to rot... but before the systems failed the simbyote was large enogh to use its arms and use the corpes as a sort of suit and also without the human brain to support it it would either die or loose its intellect... within days most of the city was infected your task is to contain the outbreak and rescue and civilians who may have survived. you also must find the epicenter of this outbreak and stop it at its core...

It should be more like this: Pinpoint aerial bombing destroyed most of the worlds nuclear missiles before they could wreak havok.

And yeah, the heroes should be like two at the start and 1 more at each level. And we makers need our own codes that give us PAWNAGE on the game
Add this of the Cinimatic
After the first cinimatic as i say "show some spot of the map" after that
player choose in the tavern and after, The hero is in helicopter and drop at random spot of the map
I think that the enemy should just be coming all the time and we will have a game-time based mission load, like 4 min. into the game you are given a mission and then Xmin. after you complete it you get another one, one you complete like five or so you should get 1 option: do this or that mission and that will change the outcome of the story. i think that in this game you don't really get to kill ith scientist, you only get to the entrance to hi 'lair' or building, and that could set us up for a II. also in the first one by the end you loose contact with the intel, meaning that the parasite has spread. So in II you destroy the generation of the parasite but upon your return to world you find out that the parasites have totally destroyed america... and so you have to flee... but that involves fighting through hordes of zombies... and you have to rescue surviors....
Just outlining a story option...
Also I think that we should have an invasion mode, where enemies keep landing at the shore and attacking along with the zombies.
I like all of the model options. We need a weaponless marine model for some sort of merc-ish or adaptable marine class.
weaponless marine? for the survivor marines? or for the mission?
But if you do the enemy coming all the time we are going to DIE.. add a Time Gap like every 5mins or base on the time of the Mission having s enemy spawn..

Darkone, all of that stuff is nice . there is also a punk-ish villager with marine-anims. The weaponless marine would be for differentiating class weaponry. For instance we don't want a havy infantry to have the smae gun as a medic do we? and i also think that we could use the space-orcs for some infected infantry.
Yep, doing squadboard (multiboard) and the heroes, and cause i'm in charge of heroes, anyone wants a hero to be, or not to be included then please inform me, also I will inform you of all of the hero types that I will use, please outline abilities and function such as a tank, support, fighter, sniper, summoner etc. if you want me to include them.
