Ashan: As each other's first love, Ashan and Zhen Ni always maintained the beauty and harmony of their love. They longed to enter the sacred hall of marriage with flowers in their hands and the blessings of the people. However, the minions of the Lich King destroyed their vision and hope for the future. After cremating his lover's body with his own hands, the humiliated Ashan ended his hard life in the river. But his life emerged in a new form with the help of an unknown black shadow. The desire for revenge gave his life a new goal. Ashan formed a small army and named it the Hand of Vengeance. The thorny road to revenge is long and arduous, and the prejudice and persecution from the living are constantly destroying his humanity and conscience. Can the young avenger keep his soul from being swallowed by his own dark side? Can a world where the Living and the Dead coexist in harmony be realized?

This is a campaign from the Chinese warcraft 3 community. Hopefully we can "give back" in the sense that by sharing many campaigns from their community, it will inspire Hiveworkshop creators to make more campaigns, and then the chinese community can play those campaigns when the Chinese translators bring Hive campaigns to their community (so in this way, they can benefit also).

Flower Fairy's original campaign was made on 1.24-1.27 with the YDWE editor. There may be some issues that came about from the conversion to 1.36. Please report any issues, especially regarding an issue with items on AI ally heroes that restore mana to nearby units, since there might be an issue with that type of item on the final RTS mission of Flower Fairy's 5th campaign.

There is a certain amount of difficulty for Flower Fairy's 5th campaign. Please refer to Flower Fairy's Youtube account to see strategies on how to beat some of the missions.

The link to the version of her campaign that can be played on 1.24-127 can be found here. In Chinese. (The author wants people who don't use 1.36 to have a chance to play her campaign).

I'd rephrase the dialogue about getting resources to be less meta.

The bridge has been damaged-> The bridge has been destroyed

Maybe use the model where the bridge supports are still visible, it looks weird to have the bridge on the minimap but not onscreen.

Elf statues disappear in FoW.

Maybe have Ashan say something once he finds the blood elves in the village are in fact not ok.

Ending:

That was... unexpected. I would show him actually reanimating a corpse earlier though, otherwise it comes out of nowhere.



This campaign is off to a very good start.

Obviously, tulee spent a lot of time completing the translation and version conversion of my campaign. I am very grateful for tulee's translation and sharing, and I am also happy to continue releasing new campaigns on hiveworkshop.

Naive Legion is a Chinese meme.
The Chinese translation for Scourge is “天灾军团”, while the Chinese translation for Naive Legion is “天真军团”, sometimes the latter sounds a bit like the former.

I also hope that all my supporters can play my campaign, but translator tulee is using version 1.36, so the English version of my campaign can only be 1.36.
Unfortunately, I don't know where to download the English version of 1.36.☹️

Vocabulary issue: I'd replace resurrect with reanimate or maybe rise, since Resurrect is an actual spell that returns the unit alive instead of undead.

Maybe have Sa Lasi talk to the casters in the graveyard, or at least mention that following Ashan was their own idea.

Weird texture bug (seems caused by the Shelter) where these big vertical rectangles of colored lines stretching offscreen appear near it.

Siege Machine message calls it a Siege Apparatus.

Magic barrier in the SW gets no comment.

First Confrontation quest messages calls it Initial Confrontation.

Cauldron quest doesn't update when you kill one.

Maybe make the cauldron a unit or structure instead of a ward.

The troll subplot stays unresolved?

If Sa Lasi dies before reaching Graveyard, he will be unable to communicate with anyone. After all, he is not a hero.
(Sa Lasi: So, the author doesn't want me to speak🤬🤬🤬)
Trolls will become enemies in later chapters.

IDK if the following is intended, but probably not.
At the beginning (about one or two minutes in) of chapter 13 (On One's Last Breath), all Undead bases attack me at once (like 300 food worth of army or so). It's undefendable. Especially since I was not given virtually any time to build up defenses and more army+upgrades. I'm not new to W3 and I've successfully played this whole campaign on hard difficulty up to this point, but this is just impossible to defend by a large margin.

The initial difficulty in Chapter 13 was slightly higher than it is now. I also know that this chapter will be difficult for many players, but in my opinion,I have no intention of protecting my base. My method is to directly search for ice troll allies and then use 5 heroes and all units to destroy 2 undead bases in the south.(It's also important to constantly use your hero's spells,especially Thrall's spells.)

General:

Blood-Sucking Worms -> Worm

The Blood-Sucking Worm's ability is untranslated (if it's passive, it should have a passive icon).

Alchemist gold mechanic is cool, but maybe have a way to automate it (like Hackers in CnC Generals), maybe automatically casting the spell with a correspondingly longer cooldown.


Third level:



Ashen Knight message is from Ash Knight.

Death Knight (Shank?) has no name.

Skeletal Archer (level 6 that has mana) needs a different name.


Main quest: Arrive at: -> Find

The Death Rose quest should have a more active requirement than just "Don't let your base be destroyed".

Finding the gate/the key should trigger a message, like "this gate is locked", "what does this key open?", etc.

Boss shouldn't have Anti-Magic Shell since he puts it back up after it's dispelled, or at least use it less often.


End cutscene: If I was -> If I had been


This one was annoying at first since enemy waves have a knack for showing up just as you're trying to attack a base, but once I figured out One Simple Trick (Mapmakers Hate This!) of building a tower outside the base so the attack waves kill it and go home, it got much easier.

I managed to destroy left southern Undead base first, since there the cramped and enemies go narrow space, this thing could improve heroes AOE spells to destroy swarming undead, the thing that make it hard is that Abomination with fortified armor. It quite give pressure and much microing to do in short amount of time or your heroes might die fast enough. Army doesn't give an effect than being meat shield for heroes.

it's defendable to be honest. but it is brutally hard, I managed to do it in like my 8th attempt. the key here is using the new troll hero and every single summons you have (you can summon more than one bear, rokkhan ward and item, the troll hero ult, consumables) I burn everything I have and take the fight the two attack waves from the south bases and clean it. after that I just abuse the ai by building burrows outside my bases in random places to reset some of the attack waves. it works, but I'm still a bit pissed by the difficulty spikes.

in my opinion, the most annoying thing is how smart the destroyers to always aim thralls ward that heals. it's so vital to survival in the first waves.

May i ask where is the "non-existent human campaign" orb? i got the other 5, including the "light and shadow" orb found in the final mission, but just cant find the human orb, which i suspect is in one of the following mission but just cant find
  • the pen-ultimate mission, the one with the obelisks
  • the mission where we use stormwind humans for the first time, there is a side quest that says theres hidden resources at a nearby cave, but when i go there, theres nothing, and this quest is the only one i couldnt complete in the whole campaign
  • the mission where dalaran and stormwind took separate paths
  • also in the final mission, though i think least likely since the "light and shadow" orb is here
Edited: nvm right after i post this, i went back to the second point and found it by the massive statue, not sure why i didnt go there the first time. time to speed run the following missions damn

Given Warcraft's naming conventions, I'd put Moss Golem as the weaker one and Forest as the stronger.

Level 7 spider creep has no name.


Never Fall Afoul quest: but no -> must not


Levers should be mentioned and/or revealed in FoW.

When the levers are killed, a ... appears above the message.


Ending cutscene:

Towards the end of the cutscene, a line from Lor'themar says it's from Genn.

Haven't beaten the fifth level, but so far:

"Mission fails if allies die" should be in the quest requirements.

Why can't the orb secret mission be its own quest in the log?

Blood Elf tooltips (and presumably the other factions) need unit and faction names capitalized.

Yrel sometimes tries to go up to the undead flyer base and gets stuck/killed at the cliffs there.

Blood Orb timer reads "Summoned Thing".

Enemy attack waves tend to gang up on the player, allied attack waves get themselves killed separately.

Manuscript tooltip is untranslated and has no name (as an aside, personally I don't like in-your-face callouts like this, it just breaks immersion).

"Phoenixes have arrived" hint can play during a cutscene.

If I give an ally the manuscript quest reward, will they use it? Otherwise maybe give the allied heroes town portal scrolls, they seem to spend their time walking to help a base and getting there too late (if they don't get wiped out by an enemy wave).

Undead sometimes attack with a dozen heavy units. If the only way to beat them is with air power, that should be reflected in cheaper/lower food cost air units.

hey there it was a very good job by you. i have liked playing the first 4 as well. all i "regret" is i have no idea where is the no-excistence orb rest of them were found.
i cant wait to see the last one

Another question regarding the Orbs, how do i combine them? I've already defeated Arthas but still cant find the place to combine them, even at the power fountain in the centre of the map.

But otherwise, very good map! Very fun, especially the last few missions in Northrend got quite an epic theme to them.

And nice HoMM V music :) Love it!

Really hope that the Non-existant human campaign would be existant!

Fourth level:


Intro: there aren't too many potions -> there aren't that many potions

Given Warcraft's naming conventions, I'd put Moss Golem as the weaker one and Forest as the stronger.

Level 7 spider creep has no name.


Never Fall Afoul quest: but no -> must not


Levers should be mentioned and/or revealed in FoW.

When the levers are killed, a ... appears above the message.


Ending cutscene:

Towards the end of the cutscene, a line from Lor'themar says it's from Genn.

Haven't beaten the fifth level, but so far:

"Mission fails if allies die" should be in the quest requirements.

Why can't the orb secret mission be its own quest in the log?

Blood Elf tooltips (and presumably the other factions) need unit and faction names capitalized.

Yrel sometimes tries to go up to the undead flyer base and gets stuck/killed at the cliffs there.

Blood Orb timer reads "Summoned Thing".

Enemy attack waves tend to gang up on the player, allied attack waves get themselves killed separately.

Manuscript tooltip is untranslated and has no name (as an aside, personally I don't like in-your-face callouts like this, it just breaks immersion).

"Phoenixes have arrived" hint can play during a cutscene.

If I give an ally the manuscript quest reward, will they use it? Otherwise maybe give the allied heroes town portal scrolls, they seem to spend their time walking to help a base and getting there too late (if they don't get wiped out by an enemy wave).

Undead sometimes attack with a dozen heavy units. If the only way to beat them is with air power, that should be reflected in cheaper/lower food cost air units.

In my opinion, the orb secret mission is to commemorate my previous campaigns, it may give players a chance to control the heroes and units from previous campaigns.

yea in the latest english version, the stormwind scenario is missing that 恢复卷轴.

i also managed to figure out where to merge the orbs before seeing your reply. in the first play through, i mistakenly read the hint's "energy ore" as "energy core", so i initially thought it was to do with the fountain of power in the middle of the map, or in the throne room

first time seeing the chinese version, finally solved the mystery of he xiaoshu's chinese name that has been bugging me haha
I wonder who is her husband, in the english campaigns, im guessing a recurring character? she hangs out most often with Lorthemar, buuuuuut cant be him right? XD

In fact, “恢复卷轴” is Scroll Of Healing,this mission also give you some gold and lumber.
Undoubtedly, suspense always plays a role in encouraging players to continue playing series campaigns, and as a prequel campaign, the prologue also provides players with some information.

Fifth level: After half a dozen restarts I just cheated through it. The allies simply can't be trusted to do anything right, and since you lose when they do it's just needlessly frustrating. They send their forces to completely random locations (map corners, defeated creep camps) in long lines that are easily ganked by the combined attack waves from the enemies, they always take the longest possible paths to get anywhere, when they send troops to help they arrive far too late, they send ground troops against the undead base...

If you can only attack the undead with air units, the phoenixes shouldn't be delayed.

Author quest is untranslated.

The different factions should use individual names instead of Troll Rebel Army.

End cutscene:

  • tossed my lot in -> threw my lot in
  • suffered a form of revenge -> ?
  • Stonefish -> Stonefist?
  • Zulma seemingly wants -> Does Zulma want
