- cap will check at the end of every wave, and any lumber above cap will remove from game.








LegionTD Mega is base on Legion TD War 1.50c (by LISK), he quit Warcraft 3 and left the map for anyone to continue development.

for this version (Mega), it will be X3 mode only, so I can spent more time to balance the map for X3 mode.

Harvest lumber with workers. Use lumber to buy summons to attack the other team and

Primary Mode:
  • -AP : All Pick - All players can pick any race.
  • -AP : All Random - All players are given a random race.
  • -SD : Single Draft - All players are given 2 random races to choose.
  • -HP : Host Pick - host pick a race, every given same race as host.
Secondary Mode:
  • -mm : Master Mind - Restricted vision on enemy's map and information.
  • -hg : Hour Glass - Receive gold for enemy leaks (that reach the King).
  • -gg : Get Gold - Receive gold from kills at middle (near king).
  • -cb : Change Builder - You can pay to change to a new builder.
  • -li : Limit Incomer - Pure income is disabled untill lvl10+.
  • -X3 : 3 Time - more creeps spawn
Default Mode: if you don't enter mode in 15 seconds after game start, it will use "-aphgggmmcbx3" as defualt mode.

Quick Mode: if mode string is 3 characters long, it will use Quick Mode. eg "-ap"

How to set up map config file:

- Hostbot usually automatic created config for you (sometime they base on Dota, so you may need to changed slot structure).

Go to channel playdota.eu on server EuroBattle or FawkzBNET

Step 2: choose which map

Step 3: start game, with your own game name
Whisper "/w PlayDota.eu .gopub Legion TD Mega -ap"

- Apparition have new aura: 5% (stack with Gravekeeper's aura)
- Apparition/Gravekeeper attack range changed (600->500, so aura cover more unit)
- Meridian (Ghost's 6th unit) HP change from 100->1000
- Ghost's Insanity : remove -12hp effect

Element :
- Mana regen aura : 3% -> 5% (eg, if you have 30mana, it will add +1.5 mana/second)

Shadow:
- Nightmare/Doppleganster tank better (light -> unarmored)

Nature:
- Tree of Knowledge's AoE spell limit to 15 target

Demi:
- Alpha Male: reduce spell animation (almost instantly cast)

Orc:
- Poison cannot kill creep (will leave it with 1hp)

Goblin:
- Goblin's driver will elf-destructive when die ( same effect as small/medium land mine)

Creep:
- level 22, 28 is slightly easier (around 5-10% easier)
- 17,18,23,24,25,26,27 is harder

Summon:
- correct shortcut key for Pudge & shaman
- Add new summon: Infernal (1000 Lumber, melee, Bash, Burning AOE)
- Behemouch changes: add +3 armor aura
- Krakken changes: add healing aura (+4 hp AOE)

Arena:
- Level 10 Arena = 1x free Turtle.
- Level 20 Arena = 3x free Turtle.
- Unit/Turtle won't move untill fight start
- Summon/Pet will remove after fight finish.
- Add new result for Arena: "Draw" (if both team die, they share the prize).
- Builder cannot move outside their own area during arena fight(before teleport)

Bug fix :

well ok, but this still isnt an answer wether im right or he was. Because if he was right i wont build again one with healing aura and another with greater healing aura, which saves me 100 gold :)

EDIT: You might gave me a clue with Fountains, but since i never made a map i know nothing about the function of a Fountain

i can help you with that, they do not stack. i feel it would be better if they did tho

hey huan,

long time no see ;) Good work so far, thus the beta is still partly unplayable.

two issues:
1.) king can't be healed, says "You must target a King." Guess thats due to the moveable King
2.) you can put the king inactive but letting him attack "the ground" (letting him attack nothing). he won't attack upcoming enemies on his own. But if you focus a unit to attack, he will start attacking all of them again, just like it's used to be.

ah, and when are you finally gonna eradicate mercenery? :D it's a pain in the ass imo :)

New bug:

advanced barracks hotkeys won't work except for Demon hotkey (Z). you can only buy via mouse click. The hotkey text isn't colored yellow, like it is for demon :)

Edit2: another w3mmd request. in general the winner/loser/leaver system works fine. but is there any way for you to differ, if a user really left the game or if he got disconnected? In any case, when your 2 or 3 minute wait buffer is reached (you did this just in case the game ends anyway..), the user that got disconnected OR left, will get the value leaver = 1 in w3mmdplayers table. it doesn't matter if he left, if he got kicked or if he disconnected. when waittime is over, leaver is always 1. Would be nice to be able to sort the discon ppl out. I think it's ok if the player got kicked that it counts as leave, but if disconnected, you could set leaver = 2 or something, IF this possible at all.

hi, just played the b1 for the first time today. when i saw it i thought itll be 3.41 again, so came here and was happy to see that you finally released it (was losing hope on it)
will edit this as ill notice more and more things
-the king can be moved before lvl 31. it wont respond as soon as you try to move it but if you mind your game youll find it in a different position some time later. same thing with moving it back to its place.
-i noticed the demon isnt disabled before lvl 15 :/ and if you want to summon it it will reset the behemoth/kraken/infernal cooldowns (even if they are disabled). is this planned by you or is it just a bug? doesnt make too much sense tbh. also im curious if i could actually summon it before 15, too.
-not being able to heal the king is a bummer. expect a beta 2 with that fixed asap :)) beta week!!!
-could you nerf lvl 14 a little bit too? 6-10 warlocks + furbolgs cause gg even with proper melee units (heavy armors, normal attack), never mind ppl with a majority of medium armor ones :| the way it was on 3.3 was just perfect, dont know why you changed it.

Version 3.41 (probably also in 3.5):

In end stats, where it shows "most lumber, most income, ..." it also shows "Most leaks". but it shows an empty string, if most leaks came from red. not exactly sure if it always happens when it's red, but i noticed it from time to time, that this string is empty. see the attached screenshot.

I am sure we talk about this before.

I didn't do anything on my side, both integer and string are surrounding by ""
in JASS, so your parser can read them.

I am sure it is easier to modify your parser or W3MMD database setting so automatic take out "" ?

- King is bug, will rework king again
- Demon is enable... but if it reset other 3 then it is bug
- I will add 10 aura units to Tier 7 before release beta 2, will work harder this weekend
- you can't really complain level 14 if they summon 6-10 warlock. you can do same to them too ! (remember, medium armor give them easy life in first 10 level)

Just confirm that hotkey won't work if I use JASS code to add/remove unit from barrack.

so there are two choice:
A, add unit from world editor, then replace whole barrack (roll back to 3.41).
B, keep 3.5 B1, so Advance Barrack never lost hotkey, but you can't use hotkey for summon.

Hm, yeah, I wasn't really sure if I mentioned it before and honestly was too lazy searching the forum ;) I just stumbeled upon again while we're working on some stats website. I got more than 7 million datasets now which all need another data operation to eradicate the quotes. And the more querys the database will receive, the more busy the whole system will be. Just thought to mention it again. But nvm then, maybe it's also in the bot code. Gonna check it out. Thx anyway!

Edit:Well, I changed it in the bot source code. It's kinda dirty workaround, as the values already arrive with " ", but I just remove them before inserting the values into the table. It's the same operation like I do on a select, yet it's a one time operation while inserting whereas multiple when accessing the value. :)
Consider it done hehe.

About round 4 purple sends 9 lumber, then 10 lumber to red player. i think this lumber stayed. later at the end of round 6 and while waiting for 7 to start he sells and sends gold to red again. although this money is deleted after a few seconds.

It also shows "You received 9 Lumber from blabla". But i guess if you're fast enough you could use the transfered resources, which red did accidently when he received the 10 lumber.

You can always transfer gold with maphack software. and 70% of player in Garena use maphack (so they can see enemy in Dota).

you can't use maphack software in Battlenet

anyway, 3.41 should have any cheat, it will keep track of all your gold/income/bonus. so if you have more gold than that, it will remove.

Beta 2 release.

Only one hero done, I will release now so I can get some feedback.

I will add 2 hero per days, which take another week for next beta.

Here is list of Hero will add later(next weekend):
The Death Knight ==> Unholy Aura (+30% movement, +10hp/s)
the Dark Ranger ==> Darkness Aura (-15% damage AE, -3 armor single target)
Priestess of the Moon ==> Trueshot Aura (+15% range)
the Keeper of the Grove ==> Thorns Aura (15% damage shield)
Paladin ==> Devotion Aura (+5 armor aura) + heal similar to priest
the Archmage ==> Brilliance Aura (10%)
Far Seer(Orc) ==> War Drums Aura (+15% melee damage)
the Chieftain ==> Endurance Aura (+10% attack speed)
The Medusa ==> Frost Aura - 50% slow movement AE + frost arrow + frost shield
The Dread Lords ==> Vampiric Aura (15% life steal)
(work out 2 more later, up to 12 max)

some thoughts...

1) automode is apmmhgggcblix3, no chance to set anything else, no matter if via hcl or ingame, looks like hardcoded mode :D li and mm is kinda bad, as for beta tests i especially like having mm disabled.

2) heroes mostly die kinda soon, apart from this the one hero for now is a neat replacement for tree of travel and witch doctor :)

3) arena: melee - ranged is nice, but arena is still too small. maybe change desing in the middle? the platform could be removed thus the arena space being made bigger or move arena to top where "L E G I O N" is written?!

4) the aura i mentioned for bonus rounds, they now have 0 + 2 from reaching middle. I cant tell if it is normal that the 31+ rounds got the +2 armor from darkgreen lawn, atm they all get +2, doom gets 50+2 :)

5) cooldown for kraken and behemoth is somehow high. i had 7/15 upgrades and got a lot lumber. i usually don't send demons due to delay and money loss anyway, so it dont think its lame or imba to be able to send 2-3 krakens, if you can afford it. i'd vote for usual cd for kraken/behe, cd for demon should stay as high so there is no more 2 demon saving in 1 round (if leak), thats absolutely ok imo.

2, remember it is just a 200 value unit, with free aura. for level 11+ it will upgrade to more hp/dps with same aura as level 10. (I will try see if I can change those hero to player controllable in later bete)

3, It is hard to make Arena bigger, you have to destory whole East Landscapes to make room for Arena, then remake east side. and all object_id for east side will lost (mean all code refer to those id won't work anymore).

4, I got few complaint about saving 2000-4000 lumber and send 5-10 Behe/Kraken in 1 round. this new cooldown should lower to 2-5.

2) yeah, it wasn't like a complaint but more of a judgeless statement/side note :) controllable, yeah maybe nice. but hm, controllable is like a non-dying/movable aura. makes it kinda easy/imba then imo. not quite sure what to think of controllable heroes.

5) well it was quite hard, i was on ~18.000, my partner was on almost 16.000, on my side (west) only 2 players were left. we all decided to not send any summons in order to see how far we will get. we couldn't clear level 34, neither did east side (with 4 players). they didn't last as long as we did. it was just enough time to see the dooms spawn. few seconds later game was over. for replay pm me

Edit: Btw. the post before (#666) i mentioned the +2 armor from middle. you missed that? coz u didn't comment it at all :)

I would increase the hp of level 3 to 50.
The main difficulty wasn't the hp but the damage they dealt, nerfing both (hp by almost 20%) in that way is kinda overkill.

i agree, 3 is too easy now. same as 17. played beta 1 about 4 times and beta2 as well about 4-5 times (in reallife conditions without debug ;). most of the time with something like 4000 value in 17 and easy hold, complete different races/unit combinations. it always felt somehow too easy. always liked 17 to be quite strong as it forces you to build up for 20. if 17 easy, 18, 19 not that hard as well you fail on 20 for sure due to lack of ~500-1000 value, as 20 is the first round since 16/17 you're really forced to push value again.

just my two cents

ok another thing about extra rounds in version 3.5 beta 2:

3v3 game. on our side we had one guy with almost 17.000 value, panicx and me had both above 20.000. we didnt send any summons in extra rounds and still we couldnt clear level 34. neither did the other side which were setup quite good as well, but i'd say not as good as our side.

the big disadvantage is the following:
you can lock the king in a corner surrounded by firelords (level 34 summons). king holds quite long/way too long against firelords and they block dooms from reaching the king. so you survive quite some more time.

we on the other hand killed way more firelords (so we had a better setup) but therefore we couldnt lock ourselfs in a corner... "protected by firelords" because it wasn't enough units left to block dooms. so when the dooms arrived, we were dead in like no time, although we were better/killing more creeps/firelords and the other side won because they killed less units. o_O thats kinda not fair imo :)

ah and another thing. you did something on units being pulled to a fight? it happened quite a few times now, that units won't join a fight, but stand around or take a short run, but then run back to their spot and wait. at least wait until the creeps come REALLY close. the sight of units or "pull-units-to-fight"-trigger whatever it is seems partly broken?! You know what i mean? didnt ever happen to notice that behaviour in 3.41, unless units were placed really distant to the battleground.

Sorry, another thing. If i save a replay and watch it, you can always unselect the "Fog of War" checkbox. The stats table containing information about value, income, wisps, lumber etc. always stays with ? ? ? if mm mode was originally set. That's quite some important information when I watch a replay. You know if there is anything to do to change that, so you can enable full vision (including the stats table) for replays? Is that a map thing for you to change?

ok another thing about extra rounds in version 3.5 beta 2:

3v3 game. on our side we had one guy with almost 17.000 value, panicx and me had both above 20.000. we didnt send any summons in extra rounds and still we couldnt clear level 34. neither did the other side which were setup quite good as well, but i'd say not as good as our side.

the big disadvantage is the following:
you can lock the king in a corner surrounded by firelords (level 34 summons). king holds quite long/way too long against firelords and they block dooms from reaching the king. so you survive quite some more time.

we on the other hand killed way more firelords (so we had a better setup) but therefore we couldnt lock ourselfs in a corner... "protected by firelords" because it wasn't enough units left to block dooms. so when the dooms arrived, we were dead in like no time, although we were better/killing more creeps/firelords and the other side won because they killed less units. o_O thats kinda not fair imo :)

not sure about pathing near king, I don't think I do anything there.

Look like lvl34/35 is hard enough for best player (this is actually what I want)

maybe I should add another ability to fire lord so it can do more damage to single target (eg, stackable fire damage over time)

Not necesary, you can just add stackable effect just to king.

Here are my thoughts:

I love 3.5. Level 17 and 3 are fine as is. If anything level 14 could do with a bit of a nerf (especially when playing prophet and you don't get a decent roll). And level 9 and 18 could be made a bit harder.

All three big dragons still suck, if I can make a suggestion, perhaps give them Chaos damage?

To add to what the above poster said, both Prophet and Hybrid can't build heros :(

I REALLY doubt that's dependent on anything you might suggest. I suppose it's a default random alogrithm (as random as by human generated random methods can be :)
As far as I am concerned, I never felt like there's something odd with Hybrid's unit, and I play quite often with hybrid.

You should check the changelog on page 1 before reporting issues ;-)
Huan made that on purpose, that Wolverines don't have crit on bosses anymore, which I totally approve! So it's not a bug, it's a feature :)

This problem is on all versions, I always host 4v4 and someones drops eventually, no matter the version, I have not found beta2 to be any worse than normal.

Doom will have longer attack range, so this will solve Mastakilla's issue.

I am blocking level 10+ hero in beta, so people will stop play beta after real version come out.

level 10+ should have same aura, but more dmg/hp so they can live longer.
some of them may get special ability after level 10+. (eg, cold arrow, stun, reduce armor, poison, critical damage etc).

when teams are not balanced like 4 vs 2 for example its not fair nor balanced. Even if the 2 players are doing great and can handle them selves pretty well they still are at a big disadvantage becuz the other 4 ppl can spam them with hard creeps, and instead of all those krackens and infernals etc going to 4 ppl evenly it all goes to 2 ppl and overwhelms them pretty fast..

My suggestion to help this issue is make all the 'sent creeps' give double or triple gold to those players, Or based on how many players difference there is. like if its 4 vs 2 then if a kracken gives 30 gold bounty make it give triple (90 gold), or if its 4 vs 3 then make it give double (60 gold)
Example 2: A dragon gives 5 gold bounty normally, so if its 4 vs 2 the team with 2 ppl would get 15 gold (triple) for killing the dragon creep sent. or if its 4 vs 3 the team with 3 would get 10 gold for killing it (double)

this is much more fair because in the long fun and late game that extra gold will hardly count for much anyway, and in alot of cases if there is leaks they will be missing out on that gold anyway because the king will kill it, or just die..

Anyway, regardless if you take this suggestion or not something needs to be done about this team imbalance problem.

1. the ability cant target Air-Units
2. the price-performance ratio of the upgrades of them is just...well...whoever did the maths should attend math lessons again...

Tried out only to build land-mines j4f and it would have worked against normal creeps (except bosses) if the price-performance ratio of the upgrades would have been more balanced and if their ability would target air.

well at the moment the small team has no advantage, in fact it has a big disadvantage in every way..

The reason i say give double or triple ('depending on team size difference') the gold value of creeps that the bigger team sends is because for the small team to handle all those creeps being bombarded on them from double the players then they have to have stronger units and more of them right? so they should be getting a little bit more gold from killing those sent creeps from the bigger team.

If you make a team of = skilled players and put them 4vs2 the team with 4 players will win every time.. its simple fact. At some point the team with 4 will send so many strong creeps and it will all go to 2 ppl instead of 4 and those 2 ppl will not be able to handle it all focused in concentration like that.

they should be rewarded for having a smaller team is some way.
The arena battles are semi fair though it seems. so for that its alright..

Agreed, also the leakers left at ~17 or even earlier (talking about smaller team) and fed their allies in early waves so they can snowball up with income much faster.

yeah i suppose thats right in most cases, guess the game i had when i suggested that just got unlucky with mass creeps coming at us because me and my ally were pretty abnormally strong so i was shocked when we still couldnt handle it all.

But on the other hand the team with all 4 probably had a few leakers/not so strong players so they got fed too and were able to advance faster with income. so i guess it goes both ways with that.

too busy to work on 3.5 before Diablo 3 come out.
so are you not working on this project anymore for a while then?

I will try finish 3.5

then not major changes for future version untill I got better ideas.

someone at wc3edit finally learn how my anti-cheat system work and can turn it off now :(

I have to spend more time to anti-cheat system, as well as review my "hero unlock code" harder to crack.

hat off to "Fukki", he finally cracked it at the end.....

basical it work like this :

if map is modified with difference constant value, I will know...
if map have cheat pack inserted, I will know....
if player received illigal gold, I will know....
if player received illigal lumber, I will know....


if cheat detected, both lumber and/or gold will restored to normal.
and game will shut down after certain condition (so it will take them more time to test on every attempt)

but whenever Legion TD Mega 3.5 (B2) is hosted, the game starts, the game immediately goes into -ap mode.

The host doesnt even have a chance to type -hp or -ar or -sd , it becomes -ap and everyone becomes disappointed and leave. Is there anything Im missing out on?

In the begining i thougt i couldn't have choose the mode manualy, but after a few failed atempts, I managed to do so, in choosing the mode manualy.

all beta will have hard code -ap from now on.

so people won't play beta after final version release.

and -ap is need to test new hero system (I hate -hp, there are not reason to add new race if everyoneplay -hp prophet)

beta 3 is out with changes log on first page.

I didn't have time to test all heroes combo, so let me know if you found any unbalance combo.

either show me a screenshot of high income/value from this combo, or reply to proof that is can defend with very low value(and reliable for many level).

also I modified anti-cheat system so it may cause some bug ?? in last version (3.41) anti-cheat cause map burning everywhere, so I don't know what will happen this time Smile

Dunno if its just me but, arn't the Heroes pretty cheap? 20g/per lvl, like...320g for something for a Hero that has 1500hp, 20% lifesteal, 15% avoid, 165 chaos dmg (Dreadlord).

And theres no Hero altar for Prophet.

Very good adding the Heroes ^^ I like.

Even more, it costs a lot of population, 11 to be exact, for the moment.

It's double to almost triple the number o population compared to a tier 6 unit at lvl 2, with has even more hp/dmg ratio, corect?

So think like this, you have to use more population for less hp/dmg ration for just one buff and/or aura.

But it's just a unit, so for the moment it seems prety balanced, cost and all other things he requires and gives.

Hi huan,

bug in version 3.5 beta3

If you change builder, you get the same race again! Didn't experience it myself, although it happened to PanicX before and just yet to another guy in game. He didnt have a hero for quite a while, wanted to change builder, then get the hero. he instead got the same race.
Case 1: race = Goblin
Case 2: race = Nature
Case 3: test in single player, changing builder for 100 lumber had no effect. _after_ that i enabled debug mode to get gold and lumber and used all my 5 "change builder" chances, always the same race.

apart from that: i like all the heroes, it's quite fun.

What i still don't like is the uneven arena issue. instead of adding one/three maccabeus for the weaker team, you could just leave one player out of the stronger team. just pick random player not to participate in the arena. so it's a fair x vs x fight, at least no imbalance due to special summons! I'd really appreciate such a change!

About the score to unlock master title: 360 score seems pretty fair. Whereas it's rather easy to reach a score of 400 and more with hybrid or prophet, it's more of a challange if you're on a single race. Though there are stronger and weaker races, 360 ain't that easy to achieve.

Ah and one more thing, i asked you before, but i think you didn't read it, maybe a short answer? :)
