Steam FTW. I wholeheartedly agree with the people who say Runescape is shit. I've lost more than one friend to that game. Seriously.

Half-Life 1/2
Portal
Counterstrike/Source
Mario games in general
Warcraft II/III
Far Cry
Starcraft

Games I hate:
Runescape
WoW (yes, yes, "WoW IS TEH BEST GAME EVAHH!!!!!!!1!!11!ONE!", but I have my reasons to dislike it)
Runescape
Basically all anime games
Runescape
I'm sure I could think of more, but I don't feel very negative today.

Serious Sam 2 (Not too bad, but dropped way too much that made the original good; the only console game I got refunded)
Fusion Frenzy 2

Tenchu Senran (Again, I didnt mind this game. But the clearly slack production was rediculous)

It better have good fighting! I didn't care for the fighting in the old ones, but the customization in those games was insane! Making characters was more fun! :p

It's like Half Life 1, except better in every single way and more. You're missing out on the biggest thing in PC gaming. Plus the Episodes, oh the episodes, they're also full of further amounts of awesome.

I'd disagree. HL2 is a bloody awesome game, along with the episodes, but I wouldn't say its better in every way to the original. From what I played of it, the First had a kind of horror touch to it which I believe HL2 is lacking... HL2 has a much too different feel to HL1 to be compared. (IMO)

BTW: I forget, can you get cans out of vending machines in HL2?

To me, The best game is Assassins Creed =)
Next to it is probably Counterstrike source, simcity 4, Warcraft 3 frozen throne, Diablo 2, Need for speed prostreet, Need for speed underground 1 & 2, Final fantasy X & X-2, Starcraft and Unreal tournament.

Games i really dont like are:
Tekken 5 - Annoying game my memory kept getting corrupted.
Sonic Heroes - Annoying game got too hard.
Transformers - Got to a point where u had to kill 2 transformers very hard.
Halo - Dont know why, but i dont like it. Its maybe cause i tried to kill these aliens in the first one and i died.
Dragonball Z - Dont really like it, graphics are horrible to me
Naruto games - Annoying same reason for dragonball Z

No. It works both ways. Every game based off a movie (but not a movie franchise, as Star Wars proves you wrong), and every movie based off a game have both failed horribly. Every single one of them.

Resident Evil?, I loved the game, shooting mindless zombies and it was jumpy at times, Movie wasn't too bad.

I have to agree that those games based off a movie/anime or vice versa are usually pretty bad. (Has anyone watched DOA aka. Dead or Alive? that movie was so stupid, but the game was awesome)

Okay I may be a bit late but:
Best:
Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (PC version is better 'cuz of mods)
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Not sure, only played it on 360 at a friends house)
Warcraft III
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (to me the Sith Lords was good but didn't live up to the first one)
Age of Empires II (my first game ever, shame I had to uninstall it, yet I still keep it)
Starcraft, Warcraft II (Introduced to it at my cousins house in 2002 along with Warcraft II, amazed)
The Simpsons Hit & Run (hilarious!)

Worst: Don't keep a habit of remembering them...

I'll think of some more for sure...

Pro Street is a good game, but I must protest Halo being on the WORST list.

Listen, you may not like Halo, for whatever your childish reasons, but that doesn't make it a bad game. Personal preference does not dictate whether a game is good or bad, it dictates whether you like the game or not.

Same goes for Need for Speed. I loved Underground 2. The rest were poorly made though, so you were right.

"Whether a game is good or bad" is completely based on opinion. Personal preference has everything to do with it.

On the topic of Halo, I like it, but I've seen better. It's way overrated, and its storyline could most definitely use some work (but no one really cares about the storyline, do they?)

But this list has nothing to do worth personal opinion. This is a thread for lists of games that are good or bad based on the technical aspects of the game, not personal opinion. It's from an analytical point of view.

I could say that I hate Metroid because it's a piece of shit and I just don't like it.

That deoesn't mean it's a bad game, it just means that I don't like it. It's my opinion, and it has nothing to do with this thread.

If he has to say that he didn't like Halo because he felt that the story didn't develope the characters enough, because the graphics were shoddy, and because the AI was dumb as hell, well then fine. That's looking at the game from a critical point of view, not a biased opinionated point of view.

Two good horror games:
Fatal Frame series (Scary as hell)
FEAR (Fucking Badass)

Oh god, add Condemned to that, freaky as fucking hell!

Oh and for god's sake, the worst crap is like:

Shrek on the GC
Viva Piniata, I was forced to play that and you'd think you're tripping like mad
I hate Halo 1 compared to 2 and 3, except I didn't appreciate the easiness of Halo 3
I've started to hate the multiplayer version of CoD4, it's lost all of it's tactics, it's turned into CS:S, run around being trigger happy.
CS:S the same reason that it's mainly PLAY TRIGGER HAPPY
I hate the new Castlevania game for the PSP, it's just lame as hell.

As you can see I prefer games where you need a tactic, not to be trigger happy.

Source is tactics? If you run around shooting at everything in CS:SA you'll just get owned in the face, to play in a real match (we're not talking DM here) it's all strategy. Talk to GST_Nemesis, he plays pro, and he shows me all of these crazy strategies. It's definetly not a trigger happy game.

And you've got your priorities wrong dude. Halo 1 was the Magnum Opus of Bungie.

Multiplayer CoD4 is interesting... still wont draw me away from Unreal 3 though. Now THERE'S a game with strategy. It's so friggen fast that running-and-gunning wont do you ANY good at all, you need to know what your doing or you'll get raped.

Never played any other CoD so it looks like I have something to look forward to. :)
Fable had some good ideas but these are some reasons why i didn't like it
-ridiculous loading screens, though not as bad as Sonic 06, its in the same boat. If they wanted a loading screen for the full Greatwood for example it wouldnt be that bad but you have to load lots of very small maps wherever you go and it gets to the point where the action dies a bit as you often have to wait for a loading screen.
-Story structure, because you can choose your path you should be able to massively change the story but through the whole game choosing between two choices has no real consequences or changes the overall story. Choosing your own path is a big part of the game and in the end it doesn't matter what you've done everything is virtually the same of both sides.
-You should be able to repeat the arena for gold but even after you complete it you cant even go inside
-The acting in the game is good but your heroes expressions during conversations are worse than Link's grunts and the actress that pays your sister makes everything over dramatic.
-No free exploration, invisible walls everywhere really ruins the experience.
-The Ending is less than 2 minutes long and really doesn't tie up all the loss ends
There are another few minor things that don't make the game very fun but those are the main

Escept Fable is very specifically a linear RPG, you do the quests, in that order, furthering the story, until the game ends.

Oblivion is non-linear, you just get thrust into this massive world and do stuff. That's the primary reason I don't like it, linear-style RPG's may have less freedom, but they always tell a compelling story, a world like Oblivion is far too large to be linear or tell a decent story, with character interaction and such because it's so massive, and it's so open-ended that it's impossible to tie every choice you make into an understandable plot.

It does, but it's not linear, like in Fable, in order to progress the game and to get to new parts of the world, you have to follow the story quests, doing the side quests exactly like that: on the side.

With Oblivion, the whole world is wide open for you to explore almost immediately. It's a good thing and a bad thing.
