Is it possible to clear a minimap history?

What the title says, to remove everything a unit has discovered.

I believe it's possible to make out of sight buildings no longer appear on the minimap since I've seen some maps do it, though I'm not sure how.

A type of custom sight system or erase the entire/blacken minimap for player with enable black mask and/or fog of war maybe? Should be possible though it likely isn't easy.

You mean to mask everything? Apply a vision modifier for the entire map to the player of fogstate FOG_OF_WAR_MASKED. Should be possible in GUI. It can probably be destroyed the instant it takes effect, otherwise it will continuously mask everything as soon as fog of war applies.

My map has the black mask removed, so you can see the entire minimap. But when my unit dies I want his minimap to be set back to default removing any units or structures he's seen.

So turn on the MASKED mask and use a vision modifier to hide it all.
