Sup guys.
As some of you know I have been playing WoW since the beta (04).
My mage had t1,t2, and parts of t3 before BC and I have pretty much
been playing him for 4 years. But now hes boring. I meen i'm tired of casting
frost bolts and im looking to start a new toon. So which class would you
recommend. I have played almost all classes to level 20 and beyond but to all of you guys that have level 70's of a different class than the mage. What would you recommend to differentiate from the cliche style of the mage, i want something new.

Thanks,

Play a warrior or a druid. Warriors are an excellent choice if you like fast action and rapid kills in PVP if you go fury. Druids are a good choice because they are like an all-in-one class, with healing, damage and magic capabilities.

However, this may take some time, but I suggest you play every class through to level 10 to get a good feel of it, and then continue with the one you like the most, or whatever grabs you first.

For a race, I would say night elf or dwarf. They are the most interesting for role playing, if you're into that.

@ ~Void~ I have played every class past level 20 and most past 30 but that was a while ago about a year and I'm not sure how much they have changed now. So I am considering warrior or paly. I did play a warrior before (tauren) and it was boring leveling but i might consider it again. I have a week to decide before i start leveling in the hive group so ill think it over.

Well leveling ret to 30. Then respeccing prot for AOE then at 70 im going Holy and ima raid.

tbh level ret to 52ish, avoid mace specialisation talent because the increased xp rates means you will probably only use about 10 different weapons from 20-60 of which maybe one will be a mace. get ice barbed spear at 51. then at 52, or earlier, put 10 points in holy (5 inc mana, 5 inc str) and after that either carry on levelling holy for +10% on holy light and flash of light if you wanna heal tbc instances, or lvl prot to quest faster.

its depends whether you prefer pvp or pve also, because you level your character to reach 70, no point playing to not reach 70 and once u do your spec is dictated by what you want to play and having classes with more powerful pvp or pve spec is useful. for example, if you love pve and wanna get loads of instance groups, healing or tanking is good, so druid, pala, war and priest are good choices. if you wanna dps in pvp hunter, lock, mage and rogue are good choices. you can also pve with dps classes (duh?) but some people prefer healing/tanking. basically what im trying to say is that your class choice should be based on what you want to do endgame.

I like warlocks, I find it more fun using spells than weapons most of the time
