The icons deliver a consistent style, elaborate and with strong shadows. The desaturation adds to the grimness the set aims for. Death Knight Keeper is a neat idea - stealing souls and laying waste speaks to the heart of the contest theme. The sharp shadows in the first icon look good.

However, the icons are too busy compared to Blizzard's. The abundance of detail leads to clutter at times. The second icon's white streaks, apart from the central one, seem too thick and opaque. A little more variation in shape and direction could go a long way in enhancing perspective and making it feel ethereal.

The third icon could focus more on the victim for better clarity, and to help emphasize what's being done. It would benefit from a zoom, at the very least.

It's a fine concept. Crippling frost magic is fitting for a Spell Breaker turned Death Knight.

The first icon's scarce contours cause a lack of distinction between the mask and the rest of the surfaces. In addition, a slight tinge of colored rim light could remedy the icon's narrow color range.

The second icon is the most polished, with an adequate background glow. The smooth shading complements the shape of the bracer. The chains, however, do not stand out against the background. The runes could use some glow to make them look mystical.

What meager shading is present in the first two icons is lost on the third. It's flat and looks as if light is coming from everywhere. The lines on the ice are not convincing. The background could be cleaner and more defined.

The icons are well-positioned and make good use of their space.

There is no consistency among the icons, whether in color, composition, or form. They are flat, their perspectives way off, and the absence of most shadows and depth makes them one-dimensional. Just by looking at the abilities, I wouldn't have guessed they were for a Murloc Death Knight. The concept has potential, but unfortunately, it wasn't fleshed out.

The first icon stands out, owing to the decrease in brightness towards the center-left, which shows the only hint of depth throughout the set. On the other hand, it has a flat, monotonous outline that only muddles the image. If it's a glow, it should be smoother.

It is difficult to say what is going on in the second and third icons. The second icon has no contrast and lacks definition. Shadows are your ally here. Use them to establish where the light in the icon is coming from. It's unclear what the creature in the background is.

The third icon looks desolate, and needs a strong object and an atmosphere. It needs to be easy for the viewer to understand what is being shown at a glance. As it is, it looks more like it was made for an item, rather than an active skill.
