When placing units in the world editor directly, they ignore bridges. They will spawn underneath the bridge. More importantly, this means I cannot place units on a bridge over water.
Maybe you could put a region over the bridge and at the start of the game run a trigger which repositions units on said region to where they're currently standing. Not sure if this will "fix" their positioning to be back on the bridge but it's worth a try. This way you can still preplace them on the map.
