HOW to customize doodad's shadow

Doodads cast their shadow through their model's mesh with the aid of the world light vector as specified in UI\MiscData.txt. The editor has an extra save option to update doodad and terrain shadows as it's expensive to calculate them constantly.

Destructables have a field in object editor Graphic - Shadow (bhsd).
 
For an English editor it should be under "Art - Shadow".
