Hanky versus Paladon
The inofficial challenge!

Although this may be one of the probably weirdest challenges ever, we decided to challenge each other.
Our aim was to create a decent GUI spell, matching the following theme:
Dance!

Now it´s up to you!
Test both entries and decide on your own, which spell deserves your vote?

Well, hmm where's my spell buggy? Maybe if you cast it at the same location twice some units get to fast unpaused I'll fix that later. Two things that maybe could look like a bug that the anti caster units of the humans arent affected by the spell. Well that's simple to explain they are Magic Immune ... uhm I mean Dance Immune so the spell won't have any effect at those unit types. And maybe if a unit die and the unit currently got the attack move it could look buggy. But that's impossible to change... and with the effectiveness, both spell got the same effectiveness mine is even configurable and also we both use "nearly" the same indexing... But well it's your choice ;)

Edit: Ok septimus said me what bugged I'll see what is wrong...

Hanky: Spell is epic =D It is a real enemy crusher!!
Paladon: Seriously beautifull! Too bad you cant control the caster! (right?) =(
Hanky: I personally think you should make the caster not attack anymore, cause now he can still attack enemys,, (personal opinion!)
Paladon:
  • Set TA_Group = (Units within 125.00 of TA_TempPoint[1] matching (((((Matching unit) is A structure) Equal to False) and (False Equal to False)) and ((((Matching unit) is alive) Equal to True) and ((Matching unit) Not equal to TA_Unit[TA_Integers[3]]))))
False equal to False?? Isnt that a little stupid? xD

Well,, all in all, i cant really decide =( Hankys spell is a real crusher,, Paladons spell is really beautifull! =D
So, im not gonna vote,, srry!

I voted for Paladon, because I liked both spells, but Hanky's spell started to cause major lag when casted again when it was already in effect (and nearly froze the game when being cast while 2 are still active, which is possible). I suggest you check your triggers for a way to solve this or simply make it recharge faster :gg:

@Hanky
Really nice spell i like it, nice collor changing and stuff^^,
@Paladon
Fresh idea, nice impresion of the spell and i saw no bugs or any flaw.

Though both entries are good, Paladon's coding looks better(no offense) and easier to understand^^
Anyway this is a tough call and i don't think i can vote for either one, at least not now, maybe for a day-two when i check the spells more.

Haha.. Hanky doesn't seems to be familiar with GUI. 90% of his gui was using a custom script in order to execute it via JASS... XD

Seems like Paladon win Hanky at GUI, but I bet when it comes to JASS Hanky could easily overwhelm Paladon.. XD

That's not really true. Paladon and I said for the create and destroy costum script is allowed. I just used costum script when I created the sound effects and the groups and at the start to remove leaking groups. The other costum script I used was for nullifying and destroying. That was maybe 25% of the code. But the executing part is in GUI ;)

Edit: The mighty Paladon allowed to fix my bug thanks to him and so there's a new bugfree version. Enjoy :D

Srry hanky, but i found one, well, sorta bug,,
When you cast if you are already dancing, you move like this:

Check attachment(),,

(yeah i suck at drawing and so on ^^)
Also you hear the thing he says (dont exactly know what) 2 times fast after each other,,
You might want to add some condition that checks if it is already dancing =),,

Ok, i like both spells, but Paladons make my PC lag hard, when more than 3 students are dancing. Otherwise works smooth.

I like Hankys, the color changing is just great and that funny sound :P

Paladons triggering is easy to read, but a lot of triggers that depends on each other.
Hankys triggering is "flat" but still good (i know you like Jass more :P)

But i vote for Hanky, seems hes tight with votes and I like his spell, no offense Paladon :D

Even if the voting is over I vote for hanky, paladon system never make the sorceress stop spinning, and even dead she spins and after some time the skeleton become a "sorceress ghost" that keep spinning...

But hanky's hotkey wasn't working... I hate that...
