I figured it was time to play around with some new techniques I've been thinking about using in the World Editor.

This terrain was inspired by my recent visit to two of California's National Parks: Yosemite; and Sequoia/King's Canyon.

The map is included for any who are curious about what I used in this terrain. All models are from the ultimate terraining map (with the exception of the hi-res rocks).

Enjoy!

Pretty darn good if you ask me. You have some blank spots here and there and I don't really like the sky for some reason, other than that I can't find any flaws (which is impressive as this isn't the easiest motive to work with). I love how you make the otherwise disgusting looking rays look so damn fine. Is that glow made from the dalaran and energy shields? Anyways, very creative!

so far this is EXCELLENT.

however... there are a few things off. For one, the giant grass doesnt nessisarily look too natural. i understand that you are using that grass for depth purposes, but its not solid enough. I suggest adding more up close doodads and terrain for the front, and have the giant tree in the midground looking more indepth and farther away.

i dont know if u know what im trying to say, the only problem is the Depth, because the tree looks not that big. or if i must say, could be bigger.
