What are your opinions on how popular DOTA 2 is?

And any thoughts on its size? (11 GB)

In my opinion the cosmetics should only be downloaded when bought, not stall there for players who won't buy them

It is more advance than DotA 1 .. As I know for now DotA 1 only updates only when DotA 2 updates .. just like when DotA 2 releases version 81 the updates of it comes to DotA 1 in v6.81

I don't actually play Dota 2, just saying since the group description says:

For those who play DOTA 2.

Just accepted the invitation since the group name is "Dota Players". You should probably fix the description since not all Dota players play Dota 2.

BTW, I actually retired from play DOTA.

Dota is popular. All of internet cafe in my city have dota 2 and they're always playing!
About the size,

- Over the past week we've been rolling out a new mechanism for releasing updates. Download sizes will now be smaller and restarting the client will only be required when the update has dependencies on it.
- Fixed League games (without a ticket) not showing up properly in the Live Games tab
- Fixed some recent issues in Local Lobbies

DOTA 2 is pretty much the most popular F2P (or maybe of all) games, so yea. The size is fine for me. If the cosmetics will only be downloaded when you buy it, then you won't be able to preview nor see it ingame if other players have it.

I find Dota 1 entertaining, I don't care now for Dota 2 because I heard many critics saying that updating it sucks for low internet users... That's why I am afraid I am not going to get updated every week or whatever

i don't get it why cosmetics will confuse you which hero is which. i mean, there's a pretty big difference between a centaur and a magnus when it comes to cosmetics.

Tbh I uninstalled DotA 2 earlier this year when all I came for in it was the fan sewn editor that really, really sucked. I downloaded again when I heard Valve is working on an official one.

DOTA 2 got really popular. Today I hear people talking about it on the streets and in the tram. I started playing later than most of others but I talked to some people who played it ages before. There was one well known pc - bar where people would come only to play dota, since not many people had fast internet in my town then. 50 kbps modem was standard I mean steam had invested a lot of money in it, but still for me dota always lacked some rpg elements. Like they could've made more connected hero lores. They've tried to make it but it's not that good. Imagine dota where every hero has a lore from war3 universe

it actually doesn't matter to me if they're untradable as long as i get high tier sets like blackdeath, divine anchor and the like. but all i got from that event was, crypt guardian, sacred orb, phasma phasmatis set and endless havoc set. what a total rip off.
