Assassin's Creed, 1 and 2. :> They have awesome stories So well-made you may actually be lured into believing.

Hmm, GTA IV has a good story, I really felt Niko; TLAD didn't catch me though, now I'm playing TBOGT (Even though it doesn't really fit with my views, it's still fun xP)

Those are 2 modern games with a pretty good story

That's how the game goes, yes. However the story is actually not a shabby tale of Greek-esque mythology.

Mass Effect 1 had an awesome story, but Mass Effect 2 was rather bland in comparison.

Exactly. It's a sad day when you have more side quests ("loyalty") than main story missions.
