    I think this incarnation of the Game Night's Mapmaking challenge is supposed to have a more relaxed timeframe (rip 24h challenges); for the time being anyways.

    I have a suggestion for next theme.
    "A trip down memory lane". Go back to the earliest patch possible and make a map in that patch, then go back to 1.29. You are not allowed to add any natives beyond the oldest patch.
    Sounds like a nice nightmare.

    Sorry I couldnt make it. Unfortunately I won't make any satruday nights at all in the foreseeable future.

    Did you guys end up playing any competition entry maps? I'm curious to see a vod/replay of my map if so :)

    Normally @Paillan records the night but he didn't yesterday, unfortunately.
    Yes, we played it for two rounds. Because of the hiding Blademaster the round 2 got long and people who were dead got bored._.

    Welp.
    War of the Worlds can last 50mn and is quite tough in micro & macro.
    Age of Humanity desync without using any blacklisted functions when a second player pass an age. + that's not completed at all and it can last 1h30.

    So that's a double no for me :]

    Shame, hopefully next time.

    Blademaster is such a dick. I guess you guys noticed that the arena gets smaller? Maybe 2 minutes is too long and it should get smaller sooner.

    I will add a note to deal with blademaster if I ever work on the map again.

    Shame to hear about only 11 players showing up, too. Maybe try a different day? I easily got 12 players in a public lobby last week to test that map.

    I've started some design work. I've randomly rolled "PicNic3.w3m" as my starting template.

    No guarantees I'll make a submission, but we'll see what I can do :)

    This looks fun. I have lots of time for the next few days so could put something together very quickly? Remaking maps is one of my favorite activities so I'd hate to skip such an opportunity!

    Does it have to be from Cokemonkey's archive? There's loads of maps on here and EpicWar which are 14+ years old and ones which I'd quite fancy remaking (most of the ones in the archive i don't actually recognize :p). There is the dilemma of some of these being remade/modded already but IMO it is always fun to try and remake old concepts again and see if you produce something good (like i did with orc gladiators).

    I don't know how you are going to make that meme cinematic map playable, good luck though ._.

    No, it doesn't need it to be from The Archive but as you said it should be at least 12 years old ^^

    That's good to know. I'm actually finding it quite hard to validate a map's age so i am just going to pick something from the Archive and go from there!

    I'll let you know how things go.

    I took the Castle Defense map from the Archive because it seemed vaguely familiar to me, whilst also being very simple, fun and easy to modify :p
