This is my BIG Project, havent started it yet, due I need creators to it. If you'r interested of joining this project, Please, Comments to this TOPIC.

How To Use Towers:

key_LEFT = Turn Camera Left
key_RIGHT = Turn Camera Right
key_UP = Set Tower Angle UP
key_DOWN = Set Tower Angle DOWN
key_A,S,D = Shoot
key_Z,X,C = Go to Shop

How The Tower Works:

Left - Changes the shoot angle to left
Right - Changes the shoot angle to right
Up - Changes the Shoot Angle to higher
Down - Changes the Shoot Angle to lower
Shoot - Launches the missile you've bought from the shop
Shop - Here you buy your missile type. Enabled Downgrade to current Missile





Guide

- This Tower Defence wil have 100 Rounds of Surviving, Each round, You can Select your upgrade, From Upgrade Screen. /Shop

Great idea. I'm not sure how this will turn out, but it will be new (for as long as I know). I just don't understand the game. Maybe explain it more. Like are there going to be upgrades to the tower you have? How many levels do you plan of having?
Anyways, sounds nice.

i would suggest not to make the tower really 360° turnable, because as many FPS attempts show, that usually sux and its impossible to aim. instead make the tower turn say exactly 90° or 45° upon pressing of a turn key.

just a little input. gl with your project.

arrow keys arent really as much an issue as they used to be. as long as a host is hosting through lan and transfered to bnet using listchecker, then there will be minimal delay between arrow key detection. it will still be there, but definately playable.

i considered doing something similar to this at one time with a first person view tower defense and I had gotten about 10% done and realized the theme was a bit over the top. (basically you shot stationary m60's in first person view with the gun and all at incoming players coincidentally looking alot like mexicans. "Immigration Control". Very funny but never got around to working on it too far.

only the host has to use listchecker... and while the majority may not use it, a lot of players who tend to host games generally use it as it helps lag a lot.

technically, however, actually a majority of hosters do indeed use listchecker since Dota tends to still be the most played game and 3/4 of the time the host is using listchecker.

Well, I can't "join" your group because I am usually too busy with school but I can probably create a pretty decent camera system for you. Making it is easy, but making it easy for you to understand and edit... not so easy. ^_^

hehe now that I think about it, those turrets you can get inside for Unreal Tournament 2004 would work perfectly if you wanted a turret-like first person defense. I havent really played UT3 dont know if they have those as well but that would easily work for a good tower turret thing.

Make tons of tempory powerups for your tower when you kill an unit that has a very small chance to happen...Or that the first unit of each wave (which is sometimes more powerfull, always drop an random powerup)



Multishot : shoot 3 missiles instead of 1
Berserk : +100% attack speed.
Inferno : Missiles light ground
Blizzard : Missiles Sun (Freeze) units
Pierce : Missiles pierce units.
Powershot : Missiles knockback units and move x2 speed.



etc...

This sounds kind of bad.
Not only are arrow keys the worst thing to aim with as they are not pressure sensitive and also can have delay, but it seems kind of a step backwards for a TD.
Before, your towers used to aim automtically and you had dozens, now you need to aim with poor controles at the guys manually and you are solo.
Aiming with arrow keys probably is worse than aiming in legend of zelda OoC on the N64, which many suffered at.

Thus eithor you make the badies increadbly slow, your projectiles have large AoE, or some support system for better aiming or I dought this map will be highly playable or commonly hosted.

You learn to compensate for delay, eventually.

This sounds like a WC3 GUNBOUND version of TD. I like it if it operates like Gunbound.
