I bet everyone can find an anime they like. People hate it before really giving it a try.

Indeed. The reasons for hating manga/anime is still unknown to me, as it includes all genres.

If people think that all anime is like Naruto, it just shows how easy it is to hate something that you don't know anything about.

Then again, all people like different things. I'm just saying hating all anime is pretty much like hating all hollywood movies.

Well, it is because most of anime really sucks. Most of american tv series suck too, and they can be really terrible to watch.

But yea, there is indeed few good anime series out there as there is some good american tv shows too.

Genre or style or whatever it is doesnt mean that something is good, at least in my opinion.

In no particular order,

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi,
FLCL,
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann,
Welcome to the NHK!,
and Azumanga Daioh.

On a related topic, my top five manga are,

Yotsubato,
Gantz,
Fullmetal Alchemist,
Liar Game,
and Death Note.

Welcome to NHK? NHK isn't the japanese main TV channel?

The Nihon Hikikomori Kyokai (N.H.K.) (日本ひきこもり協会?) of Satō's imagination is supposedly a sinister conspiracy which aims to turn people into hikikomori and NEETs. No clear reason why they would do this is offered, although Satō considers the potential of an "army" of displaced individuals. It is also mentioned twice that hikikomori are needed in society for the purpose of giving people someone to look down upon, making themselves feel superior. The N.H.K. could possibly play the role of creating Hikikomori to give people someone to look down upon. The majority of the N.H.K.'s work is done through the media, via broadcasting anime and other material that is likely to turn the viewer into an otaku. Throughout the series, many shots of advertising hoardings or movie posters incidentally displayed in other locations bear N.H.K. references.
Yeah.

I've never even heard of those. Except FLCL which I stopped watching after I got halfway through the first episode.

Many Anime shows seem to put me in reluctance, however here are my top four:

1. Death Note
2. Yu-Gi-Oh!
3. Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
4. Pokemon
5. Naruto (Shippuden seems repetitive so the normal version of Naruto)

I also have Code Lyoko as my 6th favorite. Most of my school mates would say it sucked, but I understood it and I watched it everyday (its very understanding if you watched it more). At the moment I'm watching Death Note, but its a bit creepy, however its pretty good I'm still watching it.

Me it would be(from best to least good):
1:Fullmetal alchemist
2:Deathnote
3:Disgaea
4:Bleach
5:hmmm not too sure... ill leave it open.

FMA comes at my 1st because of its in-depth storyline, the thing that i hate most about it is that the new version of it(Brotherhood) just plays waaaay too fast without any suspense or thrill whatsoever.....
anyways thats my poll.

1st Deathnote (The most awesome shit ever.)
2nd Spirited Away (The most beautiful/ sad shit ever.)
3th One Piece (The most random/ cool shit ever.)
4th Yet to be chosen
5th Yet to be chosen

... Meh gotta leave the rest open. Fillers FTL, but One Piece somehow manages to keep the fillers interesting which Naruto and Bleach totally fails at. Dragon Ball is cool, but it's old. Maybe too old. : /

Just started watching full metal alchemist. Looks like it's gonna work its way up this list. ; )

That's why I generally stick to short series anime, like Deathnote, Kurokami, or Cowboy Bebop. I watch Inuyasha and Bleach once in a while when I'm really bored, so having long filler-like shows is kind of nice.
