Creeps
Contestants are to create emoticons based on WC3's creeps. You can choose to use one creep for your whole set or use a different one for each emoticon, it's up to you!

  • No submission may violate any of the site rules.
  • All submissions must follow the current theme. If any emote does not fit, a moderator will tell you as soon as possible as to avoid confusion.
  • Your submission must be posted before the deadline. The post containing your final submission must also contain the following:
    • The files in GIF format
  • You must show at least one unfinished preview of your submission, before the deadline, as proof that it’s yours.
  • Your submission may not be started/made before the official launch of the contest.
  • Judges and/or hosts may not participate.
  • Teamwork is not allowed.
  • Final versions of the emoticons must be a maximum of 40x40 pixels in size with a transparent background. (Basically, don't make it much bigger than :infl_thumbs_up:)
  • Emoticons do not have to be animated but animating them would be a good idea.
  • The emoticon's purpose should be clear. People should not have to squint to see what it's doing.

10% poll? Kinda lame, but sure. Count me in.

Also, remove that "imports are allowed" rule. You don't wanna look like you can't use the template, do you? :P

Judging Criteria:

Quality
How good the quality of your emoticon is.20/40

Originality
How original your Emoticon is10/40

Style(?)
If it fits with the other emoticons.10/40
X (90)% of the winner shall be determined by the contest's appointed judge(s).
Y (10)% of the winner shall be determined by the results of a public poll.

(Not decided yet)

Hint ;3

I've just copied the rules that wuz at Hawkwing's thread so...
I don't think I just can remove a rule without mod'z permission.

And ike_ike, rwlrwlrwl!

Imports in a map have nothing to do with emoticons. It's just common sense to get rid of the rule for the Emoticon challenge.

These aren't creeps but what-ever, making emote icons is pretty fun :D

Considering this is 2D art I could host this contest, but I would much rather it had more potential contestants. It seems me and FrIkY are interested in this, but if I hosted it I won't participate, and FrIkY can't participate in contests...sooo. Unless this gets more attention I don't see it getting hosted :(

Well, these are the emoticons that I made, not that long ago. I'm telling you people, making emoticons is fun and you should participate in this contest! (if it gets hosted) You can even make them with MSPaint! I made all of these emoticons in less than an hour, and it's really easy. Oh and, if I were the judge, this would be my criteria:

Quality & Design - How well is the quality and design of your emoticons. They have to look pretty, and not just some tiny picture with 2-3 colors. 20/50
Emotion - How well is a certain emotion expressed through an emoticon. Is that emoticon really expressing what it's supposed to express? In other words, definition. 20/50
Animation - If your emoticons are animated, you get an extra point, if your emoticons are nicely animated, you get more extra points! (this doesn't necessarily means that ALL of your emoticons have to be animated) 5/50
Originality - How original are your emoticons. 5/50
making emote icons is pretty fun :D
I told you! It's easy, fun and not taking too much time to make (I don't know about you, but that's how it is for me)! :D

I would say that... .GIF files are a few pictures in one.
I dunno how to do thiez but meh, I'll learn it.
