I'm a huge fan of your doodads, King and Royal Captain models, but I have to say this one doesn't look right with the current textures. The helmet, footman armor, waist plate and weapon textures look mismatched. It could be really nice with a reskin since the mesh looks great.

oh_snap, look at the spear\halberd\whatever. Notice any... Similarities?
I mean... How could it possibly be exactly the same shape, texture and even wrap?

EDIT: Oh, I see. He edited the model later and changed the texture to that of the Knight to hide any evidence. This doesn't mean he didn't steal the halberd from Elenai's model however. It's very shameful. And if you look at his other models, there is enough evidence to see that he IS in fact stealing parts of other models.

The screenshot, however, still shows the pike as it was before he realized evidence is too big.

Well... I have already written a full novel about your Berserker model, I'll perhaps write a sequel for my editor ! No, just kidding.

Dwarven phalanx... Battle for Middle Earth fan, aren't you ?
As all the other said, yes, the footman texture is... unfitting, but, yes, the helmet is fine.

All the head is fine, worse parts start at the shoulders. Dwarves have big shoulders, just add two big shoulder plates, and it would be fine...
...As long as it would make your model look even more like Elenai's one, but I prefer keep out of the argument, I'm not fond of politics.
In fact, this dwarf looks far too much "empire" style, all the armor, the ribbed pike handle, etc...

I think you have yet played Battle for Middle Earth, otherwise you would never have this weird idea to make a dwarven phalanx, but you should perhaps make a model of the same brand, you know, cloth/leather armor, as far as pikemen/halberdiers are more known for their damages than their armors.
You could also copy BfME for the halberd itself, firstly adding a wooden handle, with metal pieces if you want, ribbons are too much ceremonial. Then, you could make the multiple blades on the head, you know, double blades, or perhaps four fixed in a cross, it would be awesome !

(BFME's dwarven phalanxes)

You used the Felguard's animations, that's fine, everyone use them for pikemen, as far as it is the only unit which really attacks like a pikeman, but you should work a bit on this too. His left hand oftenly rips out of the handle, when he moves, and he obviously release it when he attacks.

Fine model, still, but as I said for your berserker, shorten the legs and torso, to make him looks more dwarvish.

Keep on the good work !

a phalanx is a group of pikemen. There is only one dwarf. And, he dosent's even have a pike. it looks more like a halberd. otherwise its ok. 4/5

This model looks ok but if I might make a few suggestions, the shiny plate texture of the foot man doesn't really fit well with a dwarven pikeman, you should make the armor a little darker and give it a more "raw iron" feel, some of the textures of the bandit might fit nicely for this.

Another suggestion would be to change the upper arm armor (below the shoulder pads) and upper leg armor (above the knee cap guards) to something like chain mail or scalemail.

The halberd he carries looks nice but it too could use a more "raw iron" feel to it as well. The butt end of the halberd is simple and you could do alot with it. The halberd could use team coloring as well, a few team colored stripes would add some flare to it.

I hope you don't feel like I'm bashing your model, I really do like it its very original and its a creative use of the Felguard animations.

I give it a 3/5.

Jake

In all honesty, i prefer the old version of this model. I would reconsider using this one if you could please change the look to something more unified. If your going to use the footman texture, then use it for the entire body, would look a lot more "armored" than it does right now and would give it a lot more TC. Also, helmet seems a little to big for his head, it's not a huge issue, but it is one to consider. Oh, and something that i think would be cool, is if you made a TC frill or something that on top of the helmet, to really add that "Awesome" look.

All in all, keep up the good work. And remember, a lot of people prefer quality over quantity. So even if you only have a few submitted models, if they are really good, you'll never be forgotten. :goblin_good_job:
