Dreams of Map Ideas

'Footman having feelings' map.
Everything would be so awesome. U can hear screaming everywhere. XD
Need triggers to trigger the screaming sound. [especially running away-screaming sound.]

I have the idea for a microbased Map. Zero till less needing buildings. The Units have less hitpoints and die fastly. But its difficult to hit them. As a Player you must managed your units in attacking and defending them perfectly. All attacks can be avoid. Also the units have more options for attacking.

Many units can getting assets and drawbacks by special terrain like water, gras or sand or can using trees or special buildings for spells.

The Archer:

Hitpoints: 2

He/she has the Ability for a normal attack. Slow projectile with less areadamage but high range.

But he/she can standing for a hardcoreprojectile with high speed. But this need 2 seconds to shoot and only shooted in the selected area.

Also he/she has a last option for attack. He/She take cover, which need 5 seconds. He/She can now attack with 100% prazision. But he/she cannot move while using this ability. To break cover, it need 5 seconds again.

Firearrrows: When the archer attack from near position of a flame, its projectiles get faster then normally.

The target of the map is to kill a specific unit(commander) of the opponents or find and take a special number of runes. Units can be summoned at special points of the map. Also units can be searched, when the player collect a special item.

I've dreamed of Wc3 Melee Maps with Different Mods such as

Time V/s Gathering
This is a different Idea I had in Mind, it's where player 1 or team 1 has to reach a certain amount of Gold or Lumber or Both and Player/team 2 has to keep Team 1 from doing so until the given time period, say 10-15 minutes.
P1's goal is to collect the resources within the period of time or else he will lose.
P2's Goal is to stop him from doing so and let the timer run out or he will lose.

Capture the Flag
Each Player gets a flag towards the inside of his base which is like an item which can be used in the inventory
after a certain period of time say 3mins within the game.
most people would find this too be very easy and imba for some races but I had the idea of making the Flag Carrying Hero slowed to 50% of his original speed, visible to the map to all players, unable to use items and unable to cast any spells and disabled to get staffed or teleported
until he lets go of the flag or gets killed.
The Current Battle.net melee maps wouldn't be ideal for this kind of a mod.

Conquest/King of the Hill
Map Having a Hill or a few Hills which need to be captured by building a structure on it or destroy or capture an already existing structure to hold that spot. You have a point system where you need to reach a certain no. of points in order to win such a game. kind of like Dawn of War 2.
Creeps will constantly spawn to attack the spot.

Escort the Wagon
If you remember the Blood Elf Mission from the TFT Campaign where Illidan is locked inside a cage and needs to be captured and escorted to the base against the Night Elf player. this is just what I meant but with a few tweaks
such as the Cart will spawn after 3-5 mins in game and being much slower than in the mission.

"World's First"
This would be a Hero Dungeon map, with two groups of 5 players, moving through the same dungeons and bosses in a race. The one who clears the dungeon first wins. There would be resetable bosses when you wipe, and various dungeons, that you can vote for which to play next. The map would be really difficult, and the bosses would be long fights, the trash you would need to CC, and there would be various traps and mechanics in the dungeon that would slow you down.

Another idea, this i am currently working on, is "The Great Arena". The map is far from finished, but the general idea is this.

You can customize you Hero at the start. Select the path of brute force or magic in the beginning, then select a Model for your hero. Each would have various attributes, some gain bonus mana, some bonus health, damage etc. Then you select your first spell, a passive. Then you select an offensive spell, then a defensive, and finally an ultimate. Path of Magic and Brute each have their own pool of spells to choose from.

After this, you get thrown into a little room, where you can test spells on "Training Dummies", buy items, potions, mercenaries, trinkets and other things to help you in the arena. These you purchase with Arena Points which you earn in The Great Arena. Then there's the arena floor, where you can start a boss fight. These could either be random, or a specific progressively more difficult fights. Not sure which to make yet, or make both and an option to select. If one player survives and kills the boss, then all players gets a reward, and gets send back to the shop area. If you lose, the boss will reset and you can try to defeat him again, with a diffrent tatics, or a diffrent hero, since there would be a -repick option. The boss fights would be long and difficult to execute, but relatively simple in tatics. There would also be warnings and timers for when the boss is about to do something, and a complete guide for all the bosses in the Questlog.

Other ideas i have had and disbanded cuz too many ideas!

"Unnamed Competetive Map"
This would be almost micro only map. Each player starts with a small base, with a few towers and 1 building. This building produces all your units. Every player gain the same amount of gold over time to build these units. You would have acces to all units from the beginning, no tiers, no upgrades, same income for all players, and 1 building to produce units. Then the objective would be to go out on a symmetrical balanced map, and capture various objectives and events, such as flags in the enemy base, escort workers to mines, hold control points, and stuff like that. Then there would be a ticket system, and each time you kill an enemy unit, or do these objectives you lower the enemy players ticket. The first player to reach 0 tickets would lose. There could be diffrent maps avaliable with diffrent objectives and events, and players could vote for these in the beginning. Also would have spectator players, with various spectator commands and features. This would be a 1v1 map. Could also make tutorial and AI-support.

i have some idea of a survival map which is connected to some happening in world like if the thunder or lightning volt hit a unit it will die,or an earthquake which will wash out all buildings and a rain which can affect the visibility of your unit.also apocalyps, alien invasion, and war.wee can make a multiboard that can count left units in the map.also the villagers or non-controlled unit may die in anything that may happen.

The World of Òr is a world unlike any other. This world is terran like in comparison It is a world that seems to have its polar effects switched, the Deep South being the coldest and most inhospitable of all the lands of Òr. There are 5 Continents In the land of Or. The geography varies, from forests to deserts to lush marshes. One of the Continents stretches for thousands of miles and is considered to be the very center of all culture, and is ruled by several kingdoms, The Elves of Stone and Wood Controlling the Mountains and the Forests. The West Banks and shores are controlled by the Kingdom of West Shore, who are the proud descendants of the Talderian Empire who once control three of the five continents. Then there is the valleys that connect the Super continent, this is the Kingdom of Oren, an ancient kingdom that has seen demon invasions and stopped the Overlord of Sidthe in his tracks. They are battle harden and are expert archers. The Peninsula of the super continent is the Kingdom of Velio, a Merchant Kingdom, who are lead by a Merchant Council.

To the southern parts of the super Continent is the ruins of the Talderian Empire capital, it is here that the kingdom ruled until its destruction during the War of the Dead, to the north is a long patch of woods that acts a border, this is the border between the former Talderian Empire and the Kingdom of Ango. The Kingdom of Ango is a Kingdom of Druids, who are all inclined to protect the forests and the people of Òr. They are sworn enemy of the former Talderian Empire, but now they watch over the dead lands of the Talderian Empire, which is now rife with bandits and decaying cities. This part of the Continent has been destroyed by war after war making it almost inhospitable but many still live there as they have no choice but to live there.

(UnApproved)

The Continent to the West is the Kingdom of Dwarves, this place is a beautiful island that once was ripped apart by a volcanic activity but it has ceased around Four Thousand years ago. It has left the island with many mountain ranges which has lead to the dwarves making it their home, it is rife with life and its lands fertile it is populated by men to the south and north, who are also part of the Dwarves Kingdom and act as the main provider of fish and grains for the Dwarven Kingdom. The Dwarves delve deep into the earth finding many precious materials and are known for their crafting and forging of weaponry.

The Other Continents are held by many other empires, kingdoms and peoples. But many of these empires are so minor that they usually do not have a hand on anything that happens in the World. Infact many of these continents are too busy warring with their neighbors to care.
(basically a Strategy Risk Map, this lore/history is heavily influenced by Celtic-Salvic and Roman Mythologies.)

Yes this lore is from a collaboration from me and one of my friends. We are both historical nerds, and we are sad that there is little to no anglo saxxon, celtic and slavic myths used. So basically it inspired me so much that I am writing a short novel called The Bastard Descendant and the Newborn God.
