Why do people like everything that is comercialised?
Popular anime (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece), Slipknot, Metallica (newer stuff), In Flames (newer stuff), iPods, etc...

They're just so hyped that it would almost be a shame NOT to watch/listen/buy them.
Everything that I noted down in the above list are things that I do not like (though I really do like manga/anime, I do like thrash metal/melodic death metal, I do have some kind of mp3).

There is only a small minority who does not go slong with those 'mainstream' things and follow their own path.
But I guess that's not really something to discuss here.

Not all rap is crap, but 99.9% of it is. But in general it's the 99.9% that gets commercialized and bought. Much like Dio.

And Maybe there isn't a Dio song in the top 100 right now because he's 67 years old, and his last real album was in 2004 (as far as I know). Or do you not understand that?

Actually, looking at his albums on Wikipedia, his last album made it to 7th in the US Top Independent Albums.

No, KE isn't as commercialised as Dio.
Dio is a branch of Black Sabbath, that gives Dio instant fame (I only know the Liquid Trio bands because of Dream Theater, for example).

I mean, o hey, Edguy is higher ranked than Dio, let's call them commercialised!

Reason: someone in this thread is trying to argue without actually listening to other people or having any arguments to add in the discussion, is generalising a personal opinion (that we all have a bad taste of music because we like KE) and is getting close to flaming ("Just go and bury yourself").
I'm just sick of hearing "stop talking" and "you don't know anything about it", while the one who is saying this doesn't have any reason to say so and is just plain ignorant.

I do think before I write (type) anything, I have given real arguments (Dio was instantly famous because they're a branch of Black Sabbath for example).

And if you want to know: I got Edguy's T-shirt because I went to their concert, in a small pub with about 300 people... I didn't go to a shop to buy a T-shirt, I doubt if I would find one in the first place (and I only buy T-shirts at live concerts, I never buy them in a shop/internet).
